Most comfortable shirt and warm. Extra roomy cut. allow for shrinkage. For me the XL was perfect when you want to wear something underneath it. I also purchased the L for a closer fit. Both are great. Love the Hunter green color. I think you will be happy with this shirt

I bought my first Bean chamois shirt in college in 1978 and have owned one after another ever since. In winter weather they are the perfect shirt--warm, soft, great-looking--and in spring/autumn they can work as a jacket. Bean Chamois shirts--like Bean Scotch Plaid Flannels--are one of the few things in this crazy world that are PERFECT.

I purchased this shirt because I am cold quite often even when the thermostat is 2 degrees above where we usually keep it. I wanted a warm shirt that I could wear around the house. I also wanted it to be warm without needing to button it all the way or even part way. I wanted a shirt that had a hefty feel to it and one that looked good on me. I purchased a grey chamois shirt that I absolutely love! It even looks good enough to wear when I go out for lunch, shopping, going to church, etc.

I love these chamois shirts! They run a bit large, so they are great for layering, even over another long-sleeved shirt. They aren't as big or as bulky as a true shirt-jacket; I would describe it more like a light- to mid-weight shirt-jac. The shirt tail is not cut completely "square" but is square enough to wear untucked without looking sloppy. These shirts come out of the package oversized, but shrink to normal size in the wash.

My husband loves this: Warm, comfortable, great color, sizing good.

My first L.L.Bean Chamois shirt was a Christmas gift over 40 years ago. I have since purchased a new one every 2 or 3 years; they will wear out, you know! I use them as a layer for cold weather activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, yard work, etc. I also wear one most evenings after work and most mornings before work during the cold months of the year. I have a monogrammed one I wear as a jacket. By the way, I never throw them away when they get threadbare, I just retire them to the cabinet where I keep my hunting clothes. (I'm wearing one as I write this.)

I have been buying these Chamois Cloth Shirts for years, this is simply the latest in the succession. They fit well, are comfortable to wear and last a long time. It is affirming to see how well they have held up over time.

I ordered this shirt for my son. I received it a little late, but it still made it by Christmas. The quality is superb, and the fit is perfect. The color is exactly as it appears online. I couldn't be happier.

Thick and warm

Ordered this great shirt for my husband for Christmas. Both of us were/are very happy with LLBean quality item, as always. I have ordered for myself often, first time for him. Now, when a catalog comes in, he wants to look at it, too. Fit was perfect. Color exactly as described. Might even order another one in a different color.

Wonderful shirt and a great Christmas present. Be sure to order a size smaller since this one runs large. Husband loves it!

Have been searching for a shirt like this for some time. Nice heavy shirt. Not many places make this way any more. Wear it as a jacket on mild days. A little on the large size. Would buy again.

A superior quality shirt. Soft, warm, thick, and fits well for a squared away appearance. Perfect for a casual dress day at the office or walking the dogs on a cold winter's day.

Excellent shirt - I now have one each in three colors.

I purchased this shirt for my husband, after finally telling him the one I gave him 9 years ago needed to be replaced! Yes, the 9 year old shirt was holding together, but folks, after nine years you need a new "go-to" shirt. This shirt is warm, the texture is soft, and it washes well. As with his previous shirt, the color is rich and true to what was advertised. He wears it alone at times, but often throws it over a T-Shirt on a colder day. It is great for layering. I would definitely recommend this shirt.

This is the second chamois shirt I have purchased. I wear it so frequently that I wanted a second one in a different color for when the first one is in the wash. This shirt is great for an outer shirt around the house. My house is old so it stays a bit chilly when it is cold outside. If it is not colder than 40 degrees outside the shirt is warm enough to walk to the car or in and out of restaurants or shops. Simply put the shirt is comfortable, looks good and fits well. I really like this shirt.

This shirt (in navy) was a Christmas gift for my husband who pretty much hasn't taken it off since. So I guess that's about the best recommendation. He's had a variety of chamois shirts over the years but says this one is heavier and warmer. It does run a bit large, but shrinks a little in the wash so ordering his regular XL size worked well. He likes the navy and grey colors (I'm ordering the grey now) but wishes there were other more subdued colors in addition to the brighter red/yellow/green colors currently offered.

These are very nice chamois shirts. I have chamois shirts from two other retailers and the chamois from LL Bean is as nice as any of them. They are cut big and comfortable, I am an XL. I ordered 5 different colors. All of them are great quality and warm and comfortable. Grab yourself a couple of these chamois shirts.

Bought this for my husband. It is his favorite Llbean shirt. Thicker than a good quality flannel shirt. Layer with a T-shirt as a light weight coat/jacket. Soft yet durable. Good looking!

I have been buying from LL Bean for over 25 years now and have only been disappointed once. I expect thus shirt to live up to those standards and so far it has--great shirt!

These shirts are made very well with generous sizing. I have ape arms and don't feel slighted in sleeve length with the "regular" size.
