I liked the first shirt so much that I bought this same second shirt a week later.

Excellent light jacket or shirt, how ever you wear it. Have bought many colors over the yesrs, they wear like iron. In fact we do not have one that has worn out.

This is the second time purchasing these shirts. The first ones were purchased in 2013. I bought 4 shirts and wore them daily throughout the cooler months in the Pacific Northwest. That may give you an idea of how well they last. I was concerned that the material/cut would be different from the previous ones (that has been my experience with other companies) but these, if anything, feel and fit even better. That's probably due to it being so long since I put on a "new" one. They are spendy, bit I feel I get what I pay for. They are soft, with the right amount of weight to provide both warmth and comfort. They wash well. Machine wash in cold/warm water, then I would hang to dry. They didn't become stiff when dry. I will buy again when these need replacing.

The best flannel shirt that my husband has ever had. He says they are so soft and warm. He would like a few plaids to choose from

This is a warm, fuzzy shirt. I always buy them a size too big so they fit over T-shirts and sweaters. It is a little stiff because it's new, but a few washings it will soften and become even more comfortable.

I used to wear my dad's Bean chamois shirts years ago. This is the same great shirt; nice heavy material, comfortable traditional fit, looks great.
Regarding fit: In spite of directions, I highly recommend getting one size larger and washing and drying it with high heat settings. My shirt shrunk a size for a perfect fit. I'm 6', 205 lbs, and I ordered an XL regular.
I will definitely buy in other colors now.

Fantastic shirt. Same fantastic quality as the Bean chamois shirt my dad wore 50 years ago.
My take on sizing is this. Ignore the washing instructions (especially) the first time. Gently hand wash in HOT water and dry on highest setting the FIRST time. I am 6 ft, 205, and this traditional fit 100% cotton shirt in size XL regular shrank to the perfect fit.

Positively the heaviest weight flannel shirt I have ever seen. The color (wine) is deep and very attractive. I also wear mine over a "regular" sport shirt which is perfect for Fall.

This is the third chamois shirt I have purchased for my husband. He wears them as a jacket over his tee shirts. He looks good. He is comfortable. He gets a lot of compliments!

A true chamois feel to this shirt. Not sure why they assiduously avoid coloring it like deer skin instead of "oat barley" or whatever it is they called "tan," but it's still a fine, warm, soft, comfortable shirt. It would be even better if they had a chamois colored one.
