I had a quilted sweatshirt from Bean 20 about years ago which I wore to shreds. I loved it. I was excited when this was offered but I find the material is too thin. If you scratch against something, have a dog jump up or cradle a cat with claws, for example, a tiny hole will open and you have this long stringy batting hanging out all over.

The sweatshirt is handsome, but the quality is just not there. Duluth Trading and Carhartt offer better deals.

I bought this sweatshirt a few months ago and fell in love with it. But sadly, it's already starting to fall apart around the cuff seams. The fabric is wearing out already and I don't wear it to work in or anything. I basically wear it around the house to stay comfortable and warm. I bought another one in a different color that I wear even less often and it hasn't shown any wear yet, but I don't think it will take long considering how quickly this one is wearing out. If it were just one side, I would think it was just a fluke, but both sides in the exact same spot starting to wear out this quickly is a little too coincidental.

This sweatshirt is much thinner and lightweight than I expected. Overall the quality of the fabric and stitching feels like something from a big box store, not worth $70. Pretty disappointed in this, but not worth the hassle to return. LL Bean is starting to seem like they're not what they used to be. Quality is definitely suffering and not what I expect from a company that once prided itself on well-made clothes.

It looks nice and the arm length was fine, but the body was very tight and restrictive. LL Bean is running many of their Large Talls very tight last few years. Its hit or miss. If I go up a size, its swimming on me, but the large talls on a lot of their products seem to be cut down in size from where they used to be. Seems like their design team have fallen in love with the latest male fashion trend of making the body of a shirt in men's clothing skimpy and tight fitting.

The fabric is way too weak. I bought two of these sweatshirts in different colors, and within 4 weeks of regular use (about one a weak for each), one has a large hole in the outer layer of elbow and the other has several small holes that have formed on the front.

Order# 010392204043 I love the look and feel of this shirt, but the quality is shockingly bad for the price. At every location where two pieces are sewn together, the shirt is fraying. I would expect this from a less expensive brand, but for $90 this is not acceptable.

I'll preface this by saying that my husband has had a few of these over the years. They are absolutely beautiful sweatshirts, capable of meeting the needs of formal work attire, or weekend loungewear. His older ones do not appear to have any issues. Two months ago, I finally bought two for myself. One wine colored one, and one yellow one (color now discontinued). After only 2 or 3 washes, the first wine colored one started to develop minor holes in the fabric. (The outer layer threads started separating). LL Bean swapped it for a new one. Within one or two washes for the replacement, that one also developed minor holes. LL Bean again swapped it for a new one. The third sweater developed a severe hole in the collar within weeks / one or two wears. The outer layer is EXTREMELY fragile, and cannot seem to hold up to any kind of minor wear, or delicate machine washes. I dont even use a dryer - all clothes are gently placed on a drying rack. I work from home, and am delicate with my clothes. There is absolutely no reason how or why these should develop holes. I finally returned the third wine colored one for a refund. Unfortunately, the yellow one also now has two holes, but cannot be reordered has it has been discontinued. I love the color (and the sweatshirt) and hate the idea of giving it up, but it looks ridiculous with holes in both sleeves. The inner lining is white, and it stands out. I wanted to love these, but the quality and durability is nothing short of a joke. If you own any cats or dogs with claws, work around sharp objects, do any kind of yard work, or favor your time away from the return line at LL Bean stores, DO NOT under any circumstance, buy these.

Looks sharp, unfortunately the integrity of the elbow area has worn out twice now even with a replacement. Not what you should expect for a piece of clothing this expensive.

They advertise a sale, and then when you choose the color you like, it is not one of the sale colors Either its a sale or its not, this kid of misrepresentation is deceptive and leaves me not wanting to buy for this company

Got a few of these. Love the way they fit and look. Problem is the outer favorite is very thin and extremely delicate. I honestly never owned an article of clothing in my life that was as delicate as this. Minor contact causes holes and tears. I can't imagine any type of quality control was done on these before putting them up for sale.

I bought this when it was 99$ . I don't wear it often a nice fit ..and I wear it around the house but after 2 months it started to develop holes and now after a bit more than a year . Holes are developing all over the place this is a very comfortable jacket but the price should be around 30 dollars for the quality ! LLBean used to be known for quality . Now more for high prices and low quality I'm very disappointed in the direction that this company has chosen to be ! I have bought for the last 40 years not now

Returning my 3rd one of these, all of them developed a hole in the elbow among other small pinholes. On the dark grey it was harder to see the hole because the interior layer is the same color as the exterior, but on the last 2 I bought, the interior filling/layer is white, so it showed through quite clearly on the other colored fabrics. Too bad, my favorite item i've purchased over the last few years comfort and utility wise. They need to sort out the quality with a thicker outer material and reinforcements in high wear spots. I work at a desk, no reason for this level of wear.

I have bought 3 of these. I've returned two for a button that came off on the first few uses. The 3rd has been washed twice and is barely wearable due to how much it shrank. The quality of LL Bean no longer justifies the price. I could not be more disappointed.

I've returned the item once already because after two or three wears it had several holes in it. Feels well made but just normal wear will produce numerous holes.

We love ll bean but are incredible disappointed by the quality of this product. After only 5 months, there is a tear in one elbow and starting in the other. The store would not replace it so we are very disappointed and are realizing this is not a one off.

Narrow cut, not suited for a big man. This sweater is nice and soft but just isn't for a big guy.
