Firstly beautiful boot and I wish I could have kept them. On the site it does say to go a half size down wich I did. I think at least for me maybe I misunderstood. Size down from your sneaker size or your boot size wich isn't stated. I wear an 11 1/2 ordered a size 11 and I was swimming in these things, no matter if I had 2 pairs of socks or how I tied them. In retrospect it's probly best to go to a store if possible to get fitted. I became interested in these for sloppy north eastern weather. The smaller sized pair I ordered are working out just fine.

Warm and comfortable. Nothing better to keep feet dry in the snow.

These Bean boots are the best ones I've ever worn! Warmest and the most comfortable. I love them! I wear a size 10 and 9 1/2 was perfect!

Bought these seven years ago for Massachusetts winters but only wore them a few times. Decided to visit Finland and Norway Feb 2026 to see the Northern Lights, snowshoe, mush dogs and snowmobile. Snow and ice covered everything and temps were down to -11F. Wearing a quality pair of merino wool socks and these boots, my feet stayed warm. Most impressive was traction on snow and ice covered surfaces. Others in my group slipped and slid, but I walked with confidence. This was definitely the environment the boots were made for and I recommend them.

This was a gift for my dad for Christmas. He absolutely loves them. He said they are warm and very comfortable. Definitely size down one.

Comfortable from the start and warm! I suffer from neuropathy and was looking for warm winter boots and these are perfect. I was surprised to find that although I wear a size 10 mens in every other footwear, I got these in a size nine - and very comfortable with thick socks. I should have bought these years ago!

I bought these boots as a Christmas present for my son. He works in the freezer department of a major restaurant supply company, so he spends long hours in very cold temperatures. He said these are the best boots he has ever worn. They are the only boots that keep his feet warm all day and they were comfortable from day one. He said from this point on the bean boot with the shearling lining are the only boots he will wear.

This is the second pair of these boots my son has had. He loves them as his go-to work boots in all kinds and f weather.

My new Bean Boots are fabulous! They are very warm and extremely comfortable. I got them a few weeks ago and now hardly take them off.

The boots are beautiful, warm, and comfortable. The quality of the boot is terrific. I really enjoy wearing them. With regard to sizing, they run about 1/2 size larger than my regular size. I was able to exchange the. Quite easily with LL Bean, and my new boots came quickly. I highly recommend the Bean Boot. I can see why these became a classic.

Bought these for my return to Minnesota. Kept my feet dry and warm during the winter storms this past December. Sizing guide is accurate and they fit great. Looking forward to years of wear.

Very comfortable and warm. When ordering you will need to get a size smaller.

I love these boots. Definitely buy one size down. I wear a 13 shoe and the 12 was the perfect size.

TIP: LLBean advises ordering one-half size smaller than your normal shoe size. I called and asked: what if you're wearing thick winter/hiking socks inside these? The answer: in that case, order your normal shoe size. Go one-half size smaller if you'll wear them with regular street socks. For decades I've wondered abut Bean Boots. I finally splurged on a pair for a recent week-long outdoor trip in known wet environs. They proved to be worth every penny. Very well made (thanks, boot-crafter Kristen, who enclosed a signed note--a nice touch). They are warm and very comfortable to wear. They will keep your feet dry in shallow water and mud and in brief exposures to deeper water if you wear outdoor pants with gaiters. Note that these are not hiking boots designed to be suitable for extended climbing, as the ankle support is limited. Occasionally I felt a little unsteady climbing wet rocks. But that's not what they're designed for, so that's on me. If they were stiffer-sided for climbing, break-in would be needed; as it is, I can't imagine a more comfortable pair of boots to wear right out-of-the-box. I can also recommend LLBean Boot Guard (leather dressing) for cleaning and maintenance.

The worker that helped me was phenomenal in helping me pick out he right size. Brought out a size I thought I would be just to assure me I fit in the proper boot. The boot itself is great for what's already a harsh winter. Will continue to be my favorite store.

I always wanted some real Bean Boots, and finally saved for them. What a difference. Worth every penny. If you buy nothing else from LLBean, buy these boots! Waited a year to review. First snow. The shearling is worth it. Pair with their silk long johns for snow yoga. I mean shoveling.
