When I first put these boots on, I feared they were too short. Reading many reviews convinced me to order my true size. (I wear a 12 in sneakers and ordered a 12 here.) Once I walked a little ways, I realized that even though my big toes were right up near the end of the shoes, they still did not rub up against the shoe--maybe b/c of the geometry of the toe box? In fact, the fronts of the shoes are a nice, snug fit.
The only weird thing is that, although the left shoe fits perfectly in the heel, the right shoe is not snug enough. My heel moves around in the shoe a bit as I walk, something that has never happened before. I inspected each shoe really closely to see if I could detect some difference in craftsmanship, and I can't see any. It's a detail, and I will probably resolve it by finding some kind of a heel cup of some sort or something. Regardless, I really, really like these boots and am happy I bought them. They are perfect for slipping on when I have a short errand out of doors on a cold and/or rainy day.

Nice shoes, just a bit too narrow. For the cost, they need to fit better.

A little stiff with the hard rubber in the shoe, but think that would be expected. Otherwise,
they're great!

A bit heavier weight than I'd expected, but all in all, quite fine.

These shoes seem to be well made since they are waterproof. I like them!

Great boot for around the yard. Almost as good as they were 15 years ago. That pair lasted the 15 years but this new pair I doubt if that will happen.

They would be perfect if I could get my foot in them more easily. They fit very well once I get my foot in. I have a wide foot and the shoes may loosen up with time. They are comfortable once I am in them and nicely waterproof. I needed something to walk through wet meadows and fields in the early morning. Once I'm in they are great for this.

Love these! Over the years I have purchased a couple pairs. I use them every morning to walk the dog in the dewy grass. They keep my feet dry and warm and are easy to slip on and off.

These shoes are great for walking in the early morning dew. They are easy to slip on for a quick trip to the woodshed or out to get the mail. They can get a little too warm, however, hence the 4 star rating. LLBean has unsurpassed customer service. The first pair of these I had came apart at a top seam and they were replaced free at an LLBean store.

Excellent waterproof quality. Excellent fit right out of the box. Comfortable.
Cannot give five stars as the leather loop on the right heel failed the second or third time I pulled this on and tore out at the seam.
I will wait until after this fall season to send this back as I need these for this time of the year.
Would recommend to buy, just be careful with putting them on using these loops.

Shoes looked great and appear well made but the sizing - I wish LL Bean would size their shoes using standard sizing. I ordered my usual size as was recommended for these. Toe box was tight and heel was sloppy ...what do I do with that? I don't have a hard time with fit for other brands. Had to return. If Bean wants to have their sizing all over the board they should not be charging return shipping ...js

I bought these for gardening and light work around our property. They are just what I needed. They are well constructed and comfortable. I have a narrow foot and was aware that they would be a bit too wide, which they were. I seldom find foot ware which fits properly so I solve the problem by wearing thick socks. I wish they were made in narrow width. Anyway, I`m happy with my purchase.

purchased the shoe around two years ago and was very happy with them all around. After the first year of use noticed slightly damp socks at the toes. After the second year of use the shoes do not keep my feet dry at all. I know fabric waterproof shoes need maintenance after a year or two but these are rubber all around the soles. What gives?

Nice product except the insole is a little harder than I like and the shoe seems to run big...not a deal breaker but I would have liked to try a few pairs on before purchasing for a better fit.

it's a good shoe that will keep the wet out. will take a little breaking in as it has a thick rubber type sole, so the stiffness should work itself out over this season. otherwise nice.

These boots were as expected. Good quality and no leaks.
They are stiff to break in (probably due to the rubber material). Not sure anything can be done about that.
The extra height on the ankle is handy for more significant water issues.

I like the concept for quick outdoor needs during inclement weather. A bit stiff out of the box. My boot size is 10.5 W normally. These did not come in wide. Toe box is too tight and the heal is loose. Not ideal for a walk but should suffice for backyard activities.

Pretty good shoe. Fits well with thick socks or two pairs (like most Bean boots). Easy on/off which is why I bought them

I bought these to walk my dog in the rain. My "water proof" Columbia hiking shoes are no longer water resistant and frankly spraying silicone all over them wasn't going to work very long so I settled on these after poking around for 100% waterproof shoes.
I like these shoes, definitely 100% waterproof, good tread, very sturdy construction. One has to remember these are rubber tubs with leather sewn on them for flex and comfort and were designed for slogging around in snow, slush, rain, and muck. My neighborhood is very hilly, we do ~2 miles every night. The angle of the instep is good, but too high for my feet - I had to stick some 1/4 inch felt onto the inside to keep my foot from sliding forward going down hill - I've done a lot of hiking and have no interest on getting black toe from walking the dog. I thought about going to a 10.5 but my feet would be swimming in these, the 10s fit true to size. But. But they are narrower than any of my other 10D shoes. To solve that I jammed fully expanded shoe trees inside of them, hit the outside with a hair dryer for a minute or two and let them sit. That worked. Bottom line, don't plan on jogging in these unless the diameter of your ankles and size / shape of your foot is a perfect match - but I'm comfortable walking in them now, let's see how the tread holds up.

Always warm and dry. And comfortable unless you try to use them on sloping terrain. If so, laced shoes/boots would be advised. Feet slide forward in these shoes and jam your toes when walking down inclines.

Got the shoe to pull on rather than tennis shoes or boots for quick trips outside in cold wet weather. It is perfect for what I got it for and fits well. It is actually lighter than I expected to.
But, it arrived in a damaged box which said "size 10". I ordered a 12 so verified the shoe size which was correct. Also, there was a small scuff on one shoe and none of the normal expected inserts on shoe care. It appears that I received a returned shoe and not necessarily a new one.
I am keeping the shoes, but have issues ordering and paying for new and receiving something a bit less.
