The slippers run one size large so I returned them for another pair. Very comfortable and warm. I think a white shearling miight be a better choice for contrast especially if one has dry feet. Great so far...

I don't know exactly how I should rate the stars since I got these slippers a Christmas gift for my husband. When he opened them his face told me they were the wrong ones. The ordering process was easy, they were delivered just when they said they would. My husband took them to the Lebanon, NH store to return and order the correct ones. He said it was an easy process and they had the pair that he wanted in his size at the store. LL Bean is great to work with!

Overall good, super soft inside and out. Wear socks since it can cause rubbing on back of heel, bc the fur liner doesn't cover all the way up.

I love them however, the right slipper tie does not stay tight.

I'm a 10 in shoes and measured from toe to heel I'm a 10. for boots I usually go 9.5 however based on ll bean and their "true fit" tool my girlfriend ordered me a 10. In reality these run a size large, do not order a size up if you're a 10 order a 9. Even though I love how they feel and look my heel constantly slips in and out when walking like a flip flop. Literally just tried them on.

A bit snug, wish they also had wide widths. Good quality!

Great mocs but I probably should have gotten a size down. They slip a little on my heels. Other than that, I look forward to the colder weather so I can wear them and keep my feet nice and warm.

Bought a pair of Lester Sherpa lined bedroom slippers about 10 years ago; they finally had to be replacedthis was my only option!?! Will see if these prove to be as great!

They aren't the Old PLAIN Moosehide Slippers Anymore! They are okay, but we try to avoid laces and things that could become a tripping hazard as we age.
The Olde Marine LOVED his Moosehide sheepskin lined slippers. Combat boots they were NOT! And that was good for his tired old feet. But apparently the 'plain brown wrapper' was not in demand as it is no longer in stock.
We're back to the "Dockers" type slip on Moc. Now that is not BAD... but remember as we age, our ability to do things like tie shoelaces diminishes as "Arthur" invades our paws. So when the 'Docker' style slipper comes unlaced - as they are wont to do - the odds of tripping on an untied shoelace jumps.
Like the plain MooseMoc's he loved, the new ones are soft and comfortable to his tired feet. They cradle them in good supporting soles that he wears in & out with impunity.

Love these slippers! Comfort and style are just what I wanted. Only minor beef is the string keeps coming undone.

My husband loves these slippers ... except the laces don't stay tied. I am going to try and tie them wet and see if the knot stays after they dry. I would definitely recommend these in spite of the shoe lace issue.

I've had many pairs of shearling-lined leather moccasins, am a leathercraft hobbyist, & so have learned what makes a good pair. 1st, the 1 downside of these, reducing my rating to 4 stars: The whip-stitching that attaches the vamp to the shoe is much more likely to come loose than the traditional moc lock-stitch or x-pattern cross stitch. Though conferring a different appearance, this whip-stitch will begin to unravel upon the tiniest nick or abrasion, & repair involves sewing a new cord around the entire vamp perimeter--extremely tedious. Upsides: Otherwise well-constructed. Moosehide leather is soft & pliable yet quite durable. The grippy sole is flexible but appears long-lasting. The rawhide laces go all the way around the heal, allowing some fit adjustment. The heal is just stiff enough to put them on hands-free. The shearling lining is so thick & dense that the moc in your usual size feels too tight at 1st, but just wear them for a while, & it will compress down to be very comfortable, unless you wear socks, in which case I'd go 1 size up. Personally, I like that the naturally blonde shearling lining is died dark to match the brown moosehide exterior. These Beans compare equally with a very similar pair I have no longer offered by a competitor that were almost twice the price last year.

These slippers are well crafted, warm and generally comfortable. However country of manufacture have changed (was happy to see this) which unfortunately seems to have resulted in a slipper that is smaller than previous. Whereas a 10 always had a generous fit for me it is now borderline too tight. Also they persist in placing a stiff tag right in the insole that sticks into your feet.

I purchased these to replace a worn-out pair of Bob Timberlake slippers, because a replacement was no longer available. The wicked Good version is similar quality and I hope more durable (the previous brand had a sole that disintegrated with age).
I like the appearance and the comfort, and expect a long relationship with these moosehide slippers.

I never had slippers before so it took a little getting used to walking in them as they felt odd to me when walking.
Overall they are comfortable and warm. They seem durable enough.

Husband has been buying these slippers for a long time, I think this is his 4 th pair. Always wore an 11, but this time they are too small. He is unsure if he should exchange for a 12 or if this pair was just mis-sized.
Dissatisfied,

I've had these moccasins for four years and I abuse them, wearing them outside during every season, frequently getting them wet and dirty, and then washing and drying them. Not exactly following the care instructions. They are comfortable.
A couple of squawks:
1. The rawhide laces don't stay tied. I have never found a pair of rawhide laces that did stay tied, which probably implies that some better material be used.
2. The next size up is too big. I am a solid half size, and frequently I upsize on boots without problems, but the full size up for me is a little too floppy--and the tendency of the rawhide laces to come untied spontaneously means attempting to use them as closures are fraught with peril.
But solid and able to endure a LOT of abuse. Mine finally started to come apart, and I'm ordering another pair now...

I just received my 5th pair of these slippers in the last 12 or so years. Obviously I have been a fan. Were it not for the shearling I could have worn the first 3 of 4 pair as dress shoes. They were perfect looking though the lining seems to be getting thinner over the years.
My new pair's left foot is obviously sewn crookedly and has a significantly different appearance. The fit and feel isn't affected but they are a disappointment from previous versions, but then they are just slippers. Not sure the "wicked good" part is applicable any longer. They are now wicked adequate. The price, however, has not been adjusted for the new quality level and the value once obvious...not so much.
As it seems with everything else, newer is not better. May have to re-think the next pair.
