Read other reviews concerning slick bottoms! It was of no concern of mine because after only a day or so on carpet they caused absolutely no problem even for an unstable man of 80. They look classy and are very comfortable! A little pricey but worth every cent!! Will probably but again. I choose not to wear them outside period!!!!!

This is the 4th pair in 20+ years. They are wonderful! Have tried other brands but nothing fits and wears like these!

These are my favorites. I like them because they are leather on the soles. They are so warm on the inside and wear great. This is the only slipper I will purchase.

I have to thank L.L. Bean for their quick service and return and replacement of these moccasins . I've had them for quite a while and they were torn on the stitching on the left slipper L.L. Bean replaced them at no charge and the service was fast and quick. I have been an L.L. Bean customer for many years and will continue to do so their service is great and their merchandise is excellent

Extremely comfortable. Takes a few wears to break them in but now they are my go-tos after a long day on my feet. The shearling lining provides just the right amount of warmth as my feet never get too hot or sweat in them, Very soft and snugsy. I would recommend these slippers for men or women, I am a woman.

Needed a couple of days to break in but these are slippers I will likely wear for 5+ years, perfect!

These are beautiful shoes. The material is high quality, and the shoes are really well made. The shoes are comfortable and mold to your foot over time. I highly recommend these slippers if you are looking for a pair.

I can remember that my dad had these same shearling-lined slippers for years. I got a pair for Christmas this year and I couldn't be happier! Not only do they bring up nostalgic memories of my dad (who passed 6 years ago), but now I understand why he would replace his old, worn out pair with the same exact ones! They are so comfortable and warm on these cold Western Pennsylvania days! Our house is old and drafty, and the floors are always ice cold. I've had other slippers with the faux sheep's lining. Not only did they lose their comfort very quickly, but they were not anywhere near as warm as these genuine shearling-lined LL. Bean slippers! The second I get home from work, I take my socks off and slip these on and my feet stay nice and toasty warm. Another great thing I've noticed is that they don't start to smell like stinky feet over time. I have worn these for various lengths of time every single day since Christmas and I don't know if it's because of the all-natural materials or what, but these still smell like leather and not like dirty feet! Overall, these are yet another great, quality product from LL Bean! If I were to make one suggestion to a prospective buyer, I would recommend getting one size smaller because they do stretch a bit over time. Since these were a gift, I'm not sure if it explains this in the description. When I opened the box, there was a little card packaged with the slippers that explained how they should fit brand new and what to expect as far stretch. Mine fit perfectly right out of the box, but after reading the card, I realized they would stretch out so I sent mine back and got one size smaller. They were slightly snug right out of the box, but are now a perfect fit since the expected stretch.

These are very high quality slippers, essentially like a boat shoe with double leather soles on the bottom so they will be an extension of the soles of my feet with the protection that slippers afford. They are made of full grain cowhide, so they're not super-soft outside and look like they'll be durable. The inside is lined with what appears to be natural sheepskin fur lining. After wearing these only a couple of hours, they are gently yielding to the shape of my feet. I had not wanted slippers with leather ties but was happy to find instructions on the LL Bean website for tying a fisherman's knot, which will keep them in place. I would not wear these outside or expose the soies to moisture, at least not without using a leather treatment afterward to refresh them. But I have slip-on shoes for the outdoors. LL Bean makes a version that has an artificial sole for such use. I had considered artificial soles to make them more slip-proof, but I believe that as these shape to my feet, they'll work well on our short and medium loop carpet and hardwood floors, just as I'm not afraid to slip if I'm barefoot (but slippers prevent stubbed toes). These are replacing sheepskin-lined slippers once offered by the other New England clothing retailer. They lasted well but got stained because the uppers were suede. I wanted leather I could treat with conditioner that wouldn't keep or highlight such stains.

I wear a size13 so that's what I ordered, however, they were fairly loose and I know they stretch so I re-ordered a 12 instead and they are great. Snug at first but I've had this slipper before and I know they loosen up. I always use a light coating of leather conditioner on them to soften the leather and tone down the shine. So they look great and feel great.

Have had for over a year. So comfortable. If you don't wear them outside they'll last for ever.

This double sole leather slipper is the most comfortable slipper that I have ever worn. It is of exceptional quality and I would not hesitate to recommend.

This is a very comfortable slipper. I like that it does not have a sole other than the double layer of leather. This contributes to the comfort. The wool lining is comfy too.

My first pair lasted me about 5 years. I liked them so much that I ordered another pair to replace the first set. The leather outlasts the shearling.

And absolutely worth it. They were posted as backordered until January 1 and then shipped next day. Not only are they gorgeous, they are crazy warm. I just sit and look at them on my feet.

This is a great moc, shearling lined, super comfortable. My wife wishes LLBEAN continued to offer a women's size. Bring it back please !

title says it all, order a size down and scuff up the bottoms when you get by sliding your feet on a stone hearth or the sidewalk so you don't slip on carpet but very high quality leather and comfort

I've been wearing mine for two and a half years now. Any time I'm home, and it's too cold for sandals, these are on my feet. I've cooked in them, cleaned in them, worn them outside to take out the trashin other words, I haven't babied these slippers one bit. Doesn't matter, they still look and feel great. The leather sole shows a few signs of wear and tear, but overall has held up far better than the rubber in the standard Wicked Good slippers (which dried out and separated from the slipper after a few years). The slipper itself shows no signs of developing holes or thinning. Even the shearling still looks good. Someday they're going to wear out, but there's no signs of that happening in the near future. These slippers are not cheap, but they're extremely well-made and built for the long haul.

This is my second pair. My previous pair of 10 years was starting to wear inside. See photos comparing. When I first put the new ones on, I thought they were too small and ready to send back. After reviewing comments about being tight when new and to give them time to compress, they are perfect after a week or so. So if you receive then and they fill tight, be patient. I am very glad I did. They are perfect for wearing around the house in our pandemic comfy clothes and look great,

I've had mine for almost 5 years. I wear them all the time. Still very comfortable and in good shape, but I'll be purchasing my second pair soon as the bottom are now wearing thin in places. These are worth every penny spent if you enjoy comfort without sacrificing style.
