I wanted to replace my old LLBean Wellies, which developed a small crack. You don't make them anymore! I tried the new ankle version, but they were way too loose in the heel. These are a slightly better fit, but not like my old Wellies. Plus, these are very difficult to pull on, over heavy socks. Any chance you could make the old ones again? They were perfect!

I had to wear these a few times in order to judge their quality. Overall okay in terms of comfort, but unless you order at least 1/2 size up, you cannot wear woolen socks with them, let alone insert a warm insole, and this guarantees your feet will freeze. Not much use in inclement weather that is also cold.

First off, let me start by saying that I LOVE these boots, I wear them nearly every day in the fall. However, the style and quality has certainly changed. I bought a pair of black Chelsea boots in 2018/19 and wore them to the bone. They were so sturdy and lasted almost 4 or so years before I finally wore the soles down and needed to replace them. When I went to look, I noticed that the boot had changed slightly to what it is now. I received a pair for Christmas but within 2-3 months the body was splitting from the sole. I took them back to the store and was given a replacement pair. I wore those a few more months before putting them up for summer. Now that it's been cold and rainy I've pulled them back out & after 2-3 more months of wear they've split again. I'm devastated but won't take them back a second time. I'll just wear them till they give out completely and wait until the style/quality is changed again. Disappointed in this change and wish the original boots from 2018/19 would come back.

Boots fit true to size from toe to heel, but the opening is very small making it difficult to get on. The elastic sides should be larger or more stretchy. The width is a little narrow for a medium.

I ordered a pair of these boots in Fall of 2021, and was pretty disappointed with their durability and longevity. I wore them for a few months, pretty much only when it rained, before the rubber near the toe and at the seams started to crack. Because of this, I wore them only sparingly after that, until they've finally totally split wide open after only a year and a half of pretty light wear. That said, I *was* very pleased with their comfort, sizing, style, and easy on/off. If the quality were better, these would be fabulous boots, but I can't justify the cost if they're only going to last for one season.

I usually size down because I have narrow feet, but it was way too short. I returned and purchased regular size which was way too wide but they are cute and I needed rain boots so decided to keep and wear with thicker socks they are still super wide and my foot slides around in them, but they work for rainy days.

Very cute boots, but the tops of them rubbed uncomfortably on my ankles and lower calves. Returned for a refund.

I bought these boots little over a year ago and love the ease of use (easiest slip on and off wellies I have ever had, nice foot cushion as well. Sadly these boats are springing leaks all over -- same as others are reporting in reviews. I will order a new pair, and I hope LL Bean revisits the core materials with their manufacturer based on this feedback and overall positive reviews.

Beautiful and comfy out of the box. I got these for my wife 4 months ago. She uses them casually, To get the mail or do some gardening. They've already begun to crack on the side. For $110 I expected to get more than 4 months.

Super cute boots, love the blue color and fits nicely once on, BUT very difficult to get on.. and off. I wanted easily slip-on wellies, but these are not easy on/off IMO so will be returning. They are a little heavier than expected, too, but if not for the on/off thing I would have kept them.I did 1/2 size up & like others, would recommend.

Hard to get on. Once in them they are comfortable. Kept my feet dry and warm on a wet baseball field. Order the half size up and they fit perfectly

I love, love, loved these boots until they started to crack after about a year of wear. They're functional but stylish, and people are always surprised when I tell them that they're rain boots! Sadly, after about a year, the rubber has started to noticeably crack around the top of the ball of the foot, where they bend when I walk. Not only does this look bad, but they're also no longer waterproof because of it. I had expected a longer life for the price.

The boots are a very high-quality and I was happy to get them however , I could not get them on or off my feet without great difficulty. I am 76 years old and my knees aren't what they used to be neither are my feet so I need footwear that I can put on and off easily.

I bought these years ago and loved the shorter shaft/shoe BUT I did as recommended, "1/2 sizes order up" so I bought a size 8. They were way too big but I dealt with it. I bought a 7 in a mid calf shaft and those are better but would prefer the 7 1/2 if I were to wear them for any length of time. I saw the shoe was back again and, considering my sister's dog "ate" the others, I considered getting new ones but still no 1/2 sizes. People have way too much variety in their feet to only offer whole sizes and one width. The other 2 reviews I see complained about narrow width. But for me, part of why the 8 is so large it then they are too wide. Welles, Bean Boots, sandals...always only whole sizes. I cannot order up as recommended or I cannot keep the shoe on but ordering down is typically too short.

I have a pair of tall llBean Wellies that have served me well for many years. I hoped the Chessie half boots would serve as well. However, I need a wide toe box and the Chessie wellies' toe box is much too narrow. Also, the sides rubbed my ankles uncomfortably.

I usually wear a size 6, but these fit more like size 6.5 or size 7 in length and width. I can't wear them if they're going to make me trip. Had to return.

I was disappointed in my LL Bean Women's Rugged Wellie boots. After relatively light useabout 10 wears over a single seasona tear developed in the boot, making it no longer waterproof. Given the product name and the expectation that something described as "rugged" should withstand regular wear, this reflects a lack of durability that I did not anticipate, especially at this price point. I've generally had very positive experiences with LL Bean products, which made this outcome particularly disappointing.

Very uncomfortable boot. Exchanged for smaller size and still uncomfortable. Extremely difficult to put on/get into.

These ankle boots were exactly what I wanted. They were a perfect fit with a rugged sole. I could totally rely on them for a very rainy day. I did not wear them often, I did not wear them out. Yet, I did wear them on a very rainy day yesterday and noticed both boots had split on the seam. Back they went to LLB. I had seen reviewers comments this had happened to them but I thought no, not me. Well, it did.

design is nice and looks good with different outfits. Found them to be waterproof but cold if not worn with heavy socks. Rough edges on rubber/top of boot is very uncomfortable and caused large irritation to lower leg after a day of wearing.

I bought these boots 4 months ago to wear while walking my dog. 3 months in I started to notice my foot feeling wet after walking in the rain or through puddles. I couldn't believe it when I realized the seams on the inside of the boot (external) were separated already. I could get past the fact that they have no airflow to them so my feet got very hot and sweaty and the part of the boot by the ankles duh into my skin but my feet getting wet from the integrity lacking does it for me. Wouldn't buy again :\

I really liked these boots. Unfortunately there appears to be some quality control issues in their manufacture. Like quite a few other purchasers my boots started to crack and were separating at the bond between the sole and body after only 3 years of seasonal use. Thank you to LL Bean for giving me a credit to use towards a different pair of boots. I can't recommend these.

I loved the look of these boots, and they were comfortable too. But the sole separated from the upper after a few months of use, so the construction seems flawed, and not up to LL Bean's standard.

due to my high instep, the boot was difficult to get on and then when I walked my foot slid around, I returned the boot and have not seen my credit posted to my card. Is there any way I can check on the status of the return??

The fit of the shoe portion is great. They do provide good protection and grip. The top of the boot in the back is very hard and cuts into the calf. First time wearing them caused cuts and bleeding on the back of the calves. I'm going to try applying an adhesive pad to the back of the top of the boot but it that doesn't work will have to return them.
