I wore these right out of the box on a vacation in cold snowy Quebec City. With no break in period, they were comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry! I walked for hours and through tons of slushy snow with no problems. I paired them with a mid weight wool sock and bought my normal size. Great boot that is lightweight, comfortable and functional.

Finally I found the perfect winter boots for our tough winter weather here in Alaska. I wore the boots out today walking in our crazy windy day here in Seward,Alaska. The temp was 15F with wind gusted about 15 MPH so the temp. dropped down to 0 F. I couldn't feel my face but my feet stayed toasty the whole walk ! I'm super duper impressed with how warm these are with only medium socks. But I have to say to get the perfect fit for me , I had to order two different sizes. I am wearing an 8 1/2 in all shoes but the size guide said to order size down if you are half sizes and othe review said to go size up so I was so lost so I just ordered both sizes to try. I guess the other review was right about go size up , these boots are kind of narrow so a 9 fits me perfectly with some room for thicker socks. So happy with the purchase! These are my first L.L.Bean boots and I'm looking forward to wearing these for a long time !

I wish I could have kept these as they had all the features I was looking for. The seam of the upper and lower material pressed hard on the top of my foot. If you have a high arch these may be uncomfortable for you

These boots were perfect for snowshoeing, comfortable and warm. Sizing was perect too.

These boots are very comfortable, warm and easy to put on , they only have 1 con ,if an inside floor is wet they can slide a bit other then that they are awesome

Wore these boots in Norway in 0 degree Celsius and they kept my feet warm and dry. They're comfortable to walk and hike in and fit me perfectly (I purchased my normal size). Would recommend combining them with the shearling insoles for more warmth. For someone who's easily cold like me, I would highly recommend these boots.

I read all the reviews, decided to go for it. I have an narrow foot and it said they ran a little narrow. There is no heel slippage.....perfect for me. I can even fit my orthotics inside and don't hurt me anywhere. (All my shoes, boots, must be leather, not rubber.) These ones, I can go shopping in and not have to change shoes, or look like I'd just come off the mountaintop. I wasn't really looking for a work boot, but they can be. I bought these as a rain boot, during our rainy season. I choose the navy, looking less like a hunting boot. Nice styling, great workmanship. I like the stretchy laces, regular lace become a nuisance, coming untied. Unless one needs a wide width I may recommend this boot. I rarely give 5 stars, but at this point I just can't find anything wrong with them.

Barely got two winters out of these boots before the bottoms cracked. VERY disappointed in quality of these boots.

Great boots. Given the winter weather this year, I have worn them walking dogs every day since they have arrived three weeks ago! Warm and waterproof, the size 7s fit perfectly room for heavy socks without sliding around on my feet. So happy so far!

I am very impressed with these boots. They are super soft, comfortable, and warm. A bonus is that the shoelaces have some elastic in them to help tighten better and stay ties.

Great boots. My wife loves them. They look nice and with an added fleece insole are very warm. The soles are rugged and perfect for walking the dog on cold or snowy days.

Very comfy and good for winter walking. And I got them on sale!

Love this boot! It has done and excellent job keeping my feet dry, comfortable and WARM both through the Maine and Washington winter! Not to mention, they are so cute and I get compliments on them all the time. Win win! I am a size 8.5 and sized up to a 9, and they fit perfectly.

I got this boots on sale (the blue color) and they are not only gorgeous but also keep my feet sooo warm. I spent a weekend with my daughter at an outdoor soccer tournament at 30 degrees temps and my feet were never cold. Also wore them at a Pats game where we had snow through the whole game and my feet stayed warm the while time. I got 1/2 size up as I like them big to be able to fit in them when wearing ski socks. They are a lil big but so comfy.

I LOVE these boots! They are very comfortable and warm. They fit great with a pair of heavier socks, and are super cute over jeans. The tread on the sole is pretty grippy on ice, not as slippery as in a normal shoe.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for. They are perfect to wear in the cold and a couple of inches of snow.

So impressed by how warm, soft, and sturdy these are. I wear with a slim wool sock and have no blister. I can't recommend these enough if you live in New England .

Love these boots! They traveled well over to Europe, and comfortably walked miles and miles around various cities/terrains. They're warm, well insulated, kept out any rain/snow, and are incredibly lightweight. Highly recommend.
