They're hard to get on and off and are more like tennis shoes than slippers

The size 9 that I usually wear was wa-a-ay too small. This was surprising, because for years & years I had worn your Wicked Good Slippers that fit perfectly. These were also next to impossible to put on. After reading other reviews, I have decided to return these in favor of the other slippers.

Finally decided to pull the plug and buy some good slippers. These are not it. Too big, they even got bigger as I wore them. Not warm unless I wear them with warm socks. Looks are deceiving here. Don't be fooled. Only good thing is it has a nice sturdy sole.

How can something so cute and fuzzy be so uncomfortable?! The elastic at the heel digs into my achilles, which is painful, and pushes my toe into the front of the shoe, which is also painful. The length would have been correct if my foot wasn't being forced forward. I think with less strong/tight elastic, it would be a wonderful slipper. The purple color is lovely. I sent them back.

These are well made slippers but the opening to slip it on your foot is very stiff/tightand, with the arthritis in my fingers, impossible to slip on. I returned them.

This is my third year buying these slippers because I love the firm outdoor sole and the warmth the slipper provides but the tightness at the ankle is worse than ever with this pair. Very hard to pull on, and once they are on my feet about 30 minutes, I'm in agony from the tight elastic. I'm afraid I have to give up on ever purchasing these again. I will have to cut the elastic somehow to get through the winter with them. Wish I saved the box for a return - didn't expect them to be as severely uncomfortable as they are. Wasted my money.

Bought size 9 green. They are 'just okay'. The elastic at the ankle is uncomfortably tight and I'm boney! I tossed the box right away but wish I'd kept it as I'd probably return these. They are a little more comfortable after wearing around the house for a week or so but I'm still feeling like these aren't worth the money. Initially, I could only wear them briefly before they became too uncomfortable at the back of my heel. I stretched them over night by placing a wide mouth jar in the opening. Helped a little. I still find myself pulling the back of the slipper down and scuffing along in them like a slip on because my heel feels raw. They are also VERY warm, make your feet sweat. I wouldn't recommend them. First time I've ever had to break in slippers!

I ordered up, as suggested, since I'm a half size, and my feet swim in them. This fact, along with the compression of the fleece, means my feet are always freezing in them. I've had them for 3 months, and they look and feel like they're 3 years old.

The opening to get your foot in was too small. As an older person having trouble reaching my feet I could not even get my foot started into the slipper.

These were a gift several years ago, and the size was off -- my correct shoe size, but overall too large. We were not able to exchange them because no other sizes were available. The elastic took forever to "break in" and not be uncomfortable. Now, after wearing them exclusively with socks for several winters, they have a very strange and unpleasant odor that I have no idea how to get rid of. I've never had it with any other wool slipper. They are warm, but overall very disappointing.

I've bought LL Bean Wicked Good slippers for years and love them, so thought I'd give these a shot. NOT the same experience. While I would say these are more or less true to size, they are VERY stiff and uncomfortable. To me, they felt more like all-weather booties than comfortable slippers. They also have a very tight opening for your foot. Sadly, I'll be returning them.

These slippers were unwearable because the area with elastic(?) was too tight to be comfortable with a foot and ankle that is often swollen somewhat.

These are so cute; gave them as a gift but the recipient had to return because they are too tight in the ankle! She said they became uncomfortable after a few minutes of wearing them. Too bad because the style is great.

This was a gift for my mom - she returned it because the sole was too thick and did not bend, and there was not very good grips on the bottom and she thought she might slip.

I like the slipper overall but it is a 7, I wear a 6.5-7 and there is no way I can wear socks with them. More importantly, the elastic around the ankle is so tight it is painful. Based on the disparity of the reviews, I think no two pairs are made alike. Maybe they should have been made in the USA.

Though these were cute, I had to send them back because they pinched around the ankle.

I had high hopes for these slippers but because the heel portion of the slipper is gathered it pushes the foot forward in the slipper making it a tight fit at the toes. I will have to return them.

The first pair I ordered was my usual size and was too small and too tight. I then ordered one size up which was too big. Guess I am in between sizes. Didn't work for me.

Order a size larger if you need to wear socks with them. Socks recommended because the material tends to make feet sweat.
