My plaid Beans are 1 year old. By the time they were 6 months old, the shearling in the footbed was smooshed down and not comfortable like my 10 year old ones were. Not sure if they changed who manufactures them or not...but there is definitely a big difference in quality. This is the second pair in one year, that the top stitching is also coming loose. I am not hard on these slippers...and I don't ever wear them outside. I had to order $20 shearling inner soles just so I could keep wearing these. So this means that I now spent $99! Seriously cut back on QUALITY!!! LL Bean, what are you not doing now - that you did wonderfully 10 years ago???? Not sure if I'll buy them again. Sorry I threw the 10 year old pair out!

The plaid design is really off on the 2 slippers. It looks like maybe one belonged to a different pair perhaps. As I didn't notice it for a while, and threw all the packaging out, I decided not to return. It's not like anyone sees them and I needed something to keep warm but not really pleased.

I have worn out many pairs of Bean slippers but it usually takes me a couple of years. I purchased this pair less than a year ago and the insides are worn out on the footbed. Also, I find this particular pair does not keep my feet warm. It may be the difference between what the uppers are made of. A bit disappointed ...

I ordered these for myself because my feet are always cold, and I was so excited when they arrived. Less than sixty seconds after I opened the box I realized I'd have to return them, because each slipper had a sharp tag sewed into the bottom seam of the sole. I tried to ignore it but it's sharp, which cancels out the lovely feeling of shearling hugging my feet. I called customer service to make sure I wouldn't have to pay for the return, and the person who helped me said he has the same slippers and had cut the tag out carefully. I don't want to mess with the seam so I'm returning them. I am so disappointed. Why in the world would you sew a tag in that particular spot??

I loved these but I am surprised that after only 18 months of part-time wear (not used daily or roughly) that the fabric seams are separating from the base. I Loved these and thought they were probably the best slippers I have ever owned - I just wished the quality was a little better so I could keep wearing them for a couple more years. I remember my Mom having a pair of LL Bean slippers that she beat the heck out of by wearing every day that stayed together for 10+ years.

Great print, but no support and the seams and the tags are uncomfortable. I really wanted to like these slippers. I bought a size 9 and a 10, felt like Goldilocks, one was too small and the other too big. Evidently I am a true 9.5 . Disappointed, then had to pay to ship them back. Wish LLBean would make half sizes.

They are warm. Like the soles. One thing I disliked was the fact that they are not shaped like moccasins. They have a more "boat-like" shape, with the toe being more pointed rather than the usual moccasin rounded toe shape. I passed them on to a relative. I guess they are fine if you like a more pointed-toe design. I passed them on to a relative.

I got these as a gift after I mentioned loving the pair I had growing up. Unfortunately, these do not live up to the memories. I am a size 7 but these feel too large, but I am sure a 6 would feel too snug. I wish they had half sizes because I wanted to wear these without socks and now can't. They aren't as padded as I was hoping so socks may be the only fix anyway. And this may seem minor, but the placement of the tag is really uncomfortable. Making it an easy tear away tag or putting it somewhere less noticeable like at the heel would have been more helpful, feeling it poke the side of my foot all the time makes these unwearable.

Is it just me, or does no one care that LLBean doesn't match the plaids? That's the first thing I learned when my mother taught me to sew...MATCH UP THE PLAIDS!!!!! I love love love these mocs, but looking down at unmatched plaids will drive me crazy!!!! I'll return them and order a new pair, hoping the plaids will be matched better!!

Bought for mom and they are too big. She can fit a full finger behind her heal and the heal lifts out when walking.

description says these are made of superior sheepskin. the upper and sides are made of flannel. the right foot was somewhat bigger than the left. so now i have to send them back. i have been a customer for many years and am very disappointed. i put a message to have someone address this issue and someone called me and left a message that they were sorry. but the description has not been changed to indicate that they are flannel slippers. also, i do not believe that llbean should not be charging $79.99 which is the same price as superior sheepskin. but i guess they can charge whatever they want.

Don't need socks with these comfortable Mocs. However, the rawhide laces will drive you absolutely crazy! They constantly are untied and I cannot find any way to keep them tied. I trip over them all the time, and even wetting them does not do the trick. I CANNOT KEEP THEM TIED!!!

I have worn many LL Bean slippers over 20 years. I loved the look of this pair and ordered a size 9 online. Tried them on when the arrived last night and they are too tight! I have narrow feet and am always a size 9 and I have never had an issue with slipper sizing. I was so surprised to come to the website and see so many reviews about true to size or large. No clue what happened, but these are going back. Of course, the size 10 is sold out. :( These are going back. I hope the figure out the sizing for next year.

I too bought a size up ( I am a size 9 1/2 bought a 10 ) because they don't come in half sizes . They are loose both in width and length a little bit but they are slippers so it doesn't bother me that much. What bothers me is it only took about a month and the shearling cover was worn down to the foam insole on the heal and toe area. I don't know maybe it's just me, but i thought that was quick.

The size is the problem. Because product does not come in half sizes it was suggested to size up to a 10. It is too large.

I loved them! But the seam around the front of the slippers hurt my toes. Too painful to wear.

I wear a size 10 or 11 medium width shoe. I purchased the size 11M slipper. They were too tight - both in the width and length. I read the reviews before making the purchase. Several respondants offered that these shoes run large so I sent away for them. The pair that I received ran small. I sent them back.

I have owned a pair of the original (suede) wicked good slippers for 5 years. They are my favorite slippers, so I was excited to see it released in plaid. Unfortunately, something has changed in the design. I bought the same size as I did 5 years ago, but they are too big. I like to wear them without socks so I can feel the shearling all over my foot but with these new slippers my heel slips out so I have to wear socks with them. The shearling is also not as plush/thick as my other slippers. Overall, it's a disappointment.

This slipper is not like the old ones I've always gotten. Construction is the same BUT the shearling is very thin. The old ones were like putting your feet into clouds of shearling and molded around your foot so nice and warm. The new ones I received do not have much shearling at all, and they do not have the nice foam cushion either. It's obvious it has been scaled down to barely "passable". The plaid is very pretty so I am going to keep them, but was disappointed once again that another product has been mutilated by skimping on quality and the price is 20.00 more than years past. I can wear my MukLuc socks inside them since the 10 without all the shearling is actually too big.

I have worn these slippers for years. This new plaid version is very pretty, but certainly isn't as warm, the fleece is not as thick and they aren's Wearing as well as the suede option.

I have been buying this style for about 15 years in a size 6 . I ordered this style again and was disappointed. It was too large , the fur inside is not as thick and the tongue was shorter . I sent them back and ordered a different color in teal thinking maybe it's just the plaid style as my last order year before last I got the pink and blue colors and they fit perfectly. Even the teal color was too big so they will be sent back as well. The quality Ive noticed the last 5 years has been going down with these slippers . The stitching along the rubber sole has come undone on 2 pair I got year before last and now the sizing is larger than before and the nice fur inside is not as thick and comfortable.

I bought these slippers 2 or 3 months ago and the lining on the heel is gone in one of the slippers. Cold weather has barely started so I am not happy.
