The quality of these slippers has gone down tremendously. I bought a pair in 2017 and they lasted for years and I loved them. I then bought a new pair in December 2024 and could tell immediately the quality wasn't what it used to be. Only after wearing these for 4 months the stitching around the top is already falling apart. They once were worth the price but they're no longer worth the price.

It is hard to slip the slipper on! The heel collapses and it's like wearing flip flops. Foot can't slide right in. I also ordered a size 8 but it was too big. The 7 felt comfortable but has become too cumbersome to put on. I extended the leather string around the slipper, but it still doesn't work. You should be able to just slip for foot in.

moccasins are ill-fitting because no half sizes are available. quality of construction is far below what we have come to expect of l.l.bean : sewn with cloth thread rather than leather and of a "cheap" design. we'll replace these moccasins when they wear out (probably much sooner than moccasins formerly supplied by bean) with american made quality moccasins.

I've been wearing this slipper for years, and just ordered a new pair because the prior pair is pretty worn out. This was supposed to be a "treat for my feet" and it was anything but. The shearling inside is minimal compared to prior versions, and it is "spray painted" (why?!) so the edges are not even soft anymore. IMO, it would be more honest to raise the price and keep the quality. I'm returning these and looking for another brand. SO disappointed.

I have owned at least five pairs of these slippers over the years. I just received my new pair and these have nowhere near the amount of shearling as my previous pairs. I ordered the same size I've always worn and I was walking out of them. My previous pairs have always felt snug when I first got them. I will be returning these. So disappointed to see such a decline in quality from LL Bean.

Zero support and wear out quick. The ties also come undone constantly.
Love LL Beans slip on slippers with the animals!

My husband got me a new pair of these for Christmas. It was the only thing I asked for and was super excited to get them as my current pair is about 6 years old. Boy am I disappointed. The new slippers are nothing like my old wicked mocs. This new pair isn't the normal rusty brown and the "shearling" isn't the natural cream colored nappy shearling. Instead it's a dyed straight cut wool that pokes into my skin. I actually hate the new slippers and am returning them. What happened LL bean????

I've been wearing this exact slipper for more than a decade. I love themor did until now. This once beautiful slipper was a classic rusty brown with natural colored shearling on the inside. My husband gave me a new pair for Christmas and they are a dull, ugly muddy brown suede with dyed shearling on the inside. They're awful.

The slippers arrived today and will be returned tomorrow. Ordered size 9 as is usual for my LL Bean slippers. Left slipper fits perfectly; right slipper is easily one size larger even thought the inside tag says it is a size 9. Also, the left slipper has a rounded toe while the right is squared off.

Too big and wide in front, also tag is on instep of both slippers which is irritating.

I hated the soles. They used to be leather but now they are rubber. The rubber grabs my hard floors and almost every day the rubber catches and I start to fall. So far I've been lucky but that luck may run out so I am returning them.

The slippers were not true to size I ordered a size 5 medium and they were too big, more a size 6. I returned them. I am waiting on my credit.

somehow, one of my toes got curled under for the first few wearings.
After about maybe 10 wearings, the insole is very uncomfortable - feels like the wool is bunched up (it's not). The rear of the left slipper is not holding it's form.
I'll go back to the wicked good and be happy.
The men's slippers get a 5 star rating. Which is why I tried these.

First thing to note is I wear an 8.5 but bought an 8 based on other reviewers comments to go down a half size instead of up so they start off snug. I loved these slippers and have worn them around the house both inside and outside. Other than the lining packing down and wearing, everything was fine until about a year or so ago when the suede started disintegrating. Very unfortunate. I still wear them and was hoping to get a lot if years out of them but it doesn't seem that will be the case. One thing positive to point is the soles have held up great.

The footing is unstable. A twisted ankle is a possibility. They will be returned.

Not at all what I expected from ll bean. Horrible quality. The inside started falling out after wearing for two days, the seam holding the sole on is coming apart, and it looks like the suede is wearing off already and leaving spotted parts that look wet but aren't. So disappointed

Where is the quality control at LL Bean? These slippers are two different sizes. One fits the way it should, the other is a good half-size too small. I needed them for a trip but I have to send them back which is a huge hassle. Very disappointed in the quality of LLBean merchandise.

Virtually no lining on bottom inside the moccasins. Very uncomfortable walking on little hard bumps. May have just gotten a fluke pair, but if not, I would not recommend these to anyone.

I was very disappointed in the quality of these shoes/moccasins. Very cheaply made. Not at all the quality that I was used to from L.L.Bean. I have to be honest, I had not ordered from L.L. Bean in quite a while. Maybe 10 years or more. It seems you just can't get quality merchandise from any company anymore. I cannot believe i paid $85.00 for these shoes.

Had to return as my toes were squished. The toe Box was too narrow.
Also, there were no tags and the slippers arrived in a recycled box. Wondering if they were used.
