I got these slippers for my mother, who heard so much praise of LLBean slippers, but never owned a pair. It was the only thing she requested for her birthday gift. She has average feet and normally wears size 9 shoes, so I ordered a 9 for her.
Having expected great quality from LLBean, I didn't open the package right away: I gift-wrapped the box and gave it to my mother a couple of weeks later.
When she opened the package, she commented on the beautiful color of the slippers (we got Smoky Pearl), but had hard time telling right slipper from the left. When she put the slippers on, they were too large and wide, with left slipper noticeably wider than the right. The stitching looked symmetrical, but extra material on the left slipper was bulging out and didn't look good, nor was it comfortable to wear (based on other reviews, she expected the slippers to "hug" her feet, but her pair was too loose with too much 'wiggle room' even when she put thicker socks on). The soles of these slippers are heavy and rubbery, and make squeaky noises when she's walking on wood floors.
Overall, she found the quality disappointing, but is convinced that we just got 'a lemon', and the famous LLBean slippers have got to be better than that.
I was hoping to get an even exchange, but the exact color is sold out, so am contacting Customer Service for my options.

I always loved these slippers in the past, because they were super cozy and also very durable lasting a couple years with consistent wear. I got these less than 8 months ago and they're made of lower quality. The shearling on these is much thinner and they wore out within 5 months. after 7 months, the shearling disappeared on the toes and heels, so the slippers are no longer as supportive or comfy. Additionally, the seams in the back of the slippers fell apart, the stitches came out and split the suedes, ended up creating a hole. I tossed them much earlier than I would have liked to. They used to be fantastic. I wish they would return to making them the way they used to. Very disappointed!!

Please, please bring back the old cozy scuffs of a couple years back. The sole was protected but not heavy and clunky like these news ones. These don't feel like slippers!

I have been ordering these scuffs for years because I loved them! This is the first time I received them and they feel cheaply made. Very disappointing and I am returning them.

Beans wicked good slippers have always been my favorite. Not so with these scuffs. The look like two right foot slippers. Are much too wide and although I wear a 9-1/2 shoe they are too long..

Plan on returning these slippers. What a shame another great American product made over seas. I try to buy LL Bean as much as possible and have done so for over 30years.
Hey on a good note my door mat came in from LL Bean made in the USA!

I too have had 2 pair of these slippers, I simply love them. After the 2nd pair fell apart at the heel, I switched to something else LLBean provides, they are horrid. The first thing to come off when I get home is shoes and into slippers, I wear them everyday even in the summer and I hate shoes. So why can't they figure out how to make the backs of these with better stitching so they don't fall apart? I keep sending them back and get them replaced. Now, I'm going back for a 3rd pair, I hate hot feet and like the ease of slip ons. So until they figure that part out, I guess LLBean will continue to receive defective slippers every 6 months. Great Slipper though.

I have had these for less than 3 months and the shearing is disintegrating. This is the second pair that has done this. I will think twice before shopping at LL Bean again.

This is my second pair that I am returning in 3 months. Both pairs had the seams in the back coming apart within weeks of wearing. They would get caught under my heel which may have contributed to these ripping. I am very disappointed in the quality/design of these slippers. LLBean has always been my "go to" place for great slippers....I can't say that anymore.

I bought these less than 5 months ago and already the wool sheering is gone from the bottom and part of the sides. The stitching and trim is coming off in the back...I have had far less expensive slippers hold up far longer...this is the first disappointed purchase I have made with LLBean. These should be renamed Wicked Bad Scuff!

even in larger sizes - at first I ordered my usual size 8, but the heels bothered me too much so I returned it for an exchange for size 9. The same problem. I think there is a fundamental design flaw with this slipper - I even tried sewing in milk carton to keep the scuff up (yes, that's another problem - I ended up knocking them down with my heels, very uncomfortable for that, too), to no avail. I ended up returning this slipper all together. I really wanted to like it. Instead, I ordered men's oversized slipper Size 10 medium in a different style (no scuffs!) - it's a little large but I am far more comfortable in it going around the house.
I can't believe other people have no problem with these scuff at heels.
This review is based on the product I ordered last year - I don't think it has changed, so I would be wary of buying this slippers. Maybe they changed? I'm not sure.

I love these and they used to come in fun colors. Ordered a pair a while ago and found them to be very narrow. Please note I do NOT have a wide foot.
The men's version in a size smaller did the trick. Sadly no fun colors in the men's options. But they fit and I'm on my second pair.
Please bring back the colors for women's and make them a bit wider, just a touch.

I have been a loyal LLBean customer for 25+ years. I have bought at least EIGHT PAIR of these women's Scuffs over the last 15 years. Trust me, the ones I just ordered (which I just returned) are NOT the same quality as in years past. LL BEAN has totally changed who makes these or has totally let the quality go down hill. I USED TO LOVE THESE SLIPPERS! No others would compare! I was so disappointed when my new ordered pair showed up and they were totally NOTHING like the quality from years before. Please go back to quality LLBEAN! Please!

Slippers were of fine quality and comfortable, but I could not walk in them. They were not too big, it was just that the low heel of the slipper did not allow the shoe to stay on my foot. I am a senior and did not want to fall again as I did the past year. I really tried to wear them, but they did not work for me. I have purchased moccasins in the past where the heel came up all the way and loved them. I returned them and got a refund.

I have owned many pairs of wicked good slippers as they are my favorite Christmas gift from my mother. This year she got me the scuffs and I am returning them after only one month of wear. I love slippers dearly but the heels on these are already worn through. Get the mocs instead. They usually last at least until next Christmas.

The slippers were much too wide in the BACK as if someone with WIDE feet had struggled to put them on. I have other scuffs and they fit properly. SORRY they have ben RETURNED.

I just returned the Women's Bean Wicked Good Scuffs moccasin because they slipped from the back. Why can't LL Bean make a slipper like the Men's moc boot or mocassin for women. The women's mocassin has too much furry stuff in side and out and make it much to warm and the tie keeps coming loose. Please consider this recommendation and have more choices for women slipper's like the men's moc boot and mocassin. Thanks you.

These slippers look good, but don't stay on your feet because the backs are too low. You end up having to shuffle in order to avoid walking out of them.

I, too, have been buying these slippers for years and could not believe how different they now are. They fall off my feet, are super wide and very long.
This is the second pair of slippers from LL Bean that have been just awful. Last year they had a style that I see they no longer are offering. Good thing.
LL Bean, I don't know what is going on with you but you need to get your sizing more consistent and bring back the quality you are so famous for.
These slippers are going back.

I was sorely disappointed in the quality of this slipper compared to the old clog - poor quality, floppy fit, and no support. After less than 6 months, they are falling apart along the back seam. I bought these as a replacement for my 3 year old clogs, which I now use at our 2nd home in Vermont. The 3 year old clogs are in much better shape than these slippers that are less than 6 months old. I am returning these and bought the Women's Daybreak Slides as a replacement - I hope they hold up as well as the original clogs. The only drawback to the Daybreak Slide vs. the Wicked Good slippers is the lining - it's not as soft as the shearling. Bring back the original clogs please!!!

A couple of years ago I purchased this item and was VERY pleased with the material used and comfort of the scuff. I thought I would purchase another color so selected the same scuff in brown. Boy was I disappointed when the package arrived. No longer is this item lined with a nice thick, comfy shearling but instead a thin layer making it no match to the original purchase. I also was told if I'm a half size to order up in size which I did. The last pair was so thick and plush that it appeared too tight when it arrived but to my delight, the scuff stretch out and in no time, fit perfectly. The new pair came so big I couldn't take a step without the scuff falling off and the material is so thin it is ridiculous. Everything considered, this scuff is inferior in quality compared to the scuff I received a few years ago.

My husband purchased these slippers for me because you no longer have the clog style that I have loved in the past. I love my clogs and needed a new pair. I have to say that I cannot wear the scuff style as the shoe comes off my foot when I walk and the side support is not good. I love the clogs because they hug my foot and are the most comfortable slipper/shoe ever. Please bring them back!! I will be returning the new slippers. I also wish your products were USA made. That would even be better!

I went to order a new pair of the cork soled slippers I have gotten several times. I REALLY HOPE you bring them back. Clean, simple design - not mocassin style or elf style. I was shocked to not be able to find them.
