I bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves it, and is wearing frequently during this cold spell.

My husband wanted a heavier weight flannel shirt, I found this instead and he loves it!

When these heavyweight Chamois flannel shirts came out, I first bought 2 in solid colors. The fabric felt stiff, but I figured they'd soften up with a few washings. Unfortunately, they did not. The plaid varieties are great -- made from the same style pattern as the solid ones but not the same fabric. So I'd recommend paying a few bucks more for the plaid Chamois shirts. I have several, and not only do they start out softer than the solids, they get more comfortable with each washing.

Great quality shirt and much better than anything you can buy in a department store. He loved it enough to want another in a different color. Will last a lifetime.

I gave this shirt as a gift and it had already been well loved. The quality of the shirt feels great, it's both soft and thick. Heavier weight than many other flannel shirts I've seen but not uncomfortably bulky. The one downside is that I bought it for him in his usual size and the shirt practically swallowed him up. I did a return for a size lower and the new shirt was a big improvement. He said after the first wash and dry that it shrunk ever so slightly (keep that in mind too when ordering), and that he felt the fit got even better. I suspect if you're ordering for someone particularly tall, broad shouldered, or someone that likes a looser fit then they might be happy with their usual size. However if you're buying for a man with a more narrow frame, average height, that wants a slightly more tailored fit (not a slim fit, just not baggy) then you might go down a size.

Two men's Chamois plaid shirts were ordered in Medium. They fit very well on a 5'10": frame, are exceptionally warm, launder well and keep their shape. They are well loved.

Thick, soft, warm material. Tall size has ample length in the sleeves and shirttail.

I've bought a number of shirts from LL Bean, Like the others, this shirt is very soft and comfortable.

It's a LL Bean shirt. The quality is great, it fits just fine and it's warm. It doesn't make coffee, but that would be asking a lot from a shirt.
