I have the Kaha 2, the Transport and the Challenger. I loved the Challenger so much I wanted to try a similar shoe with more grip for hikes. Unfortunately I really didn't like the fit. The sole is considerable more narrow compared to the Challenger so I don't feel as stable in terms of lateral support. I miss having an actual tongue because it doesn't feel as comfortable without it. Anyway I ended up feeling some pain in my ankle after wearing these on the walking pad and the next day I ended up aggravating my bursitis in the ankle. Had to return.

It runs 1/2 to 1 size large. Best I could tell, the feel was symmetrical and solid. I will be returning for a smaller size. Wish Hoka made more vibrant colors though.

The break in on these were almost instant. Super supportive and comfortable. However, I e only had these for two weeks and have walked on mixed surface trails and they are always showing major signs of wear on the treads. Disappointed.

I ran a few long trail runs and have had foot pain both times. I am chalking it up to "new" shoes right now but this last time my foot has not healed right after I took the shoes off so they may not work for me.

I am a bit disappointed in how these are wearing so quickly. I did purchase a second pair after three months, because I like them otherwise. I am not a runner, but I do use these for walking daily.

I have a couple of Speed goat Wide size and I loved them totally no complain. I recently purchased the regular and the right shoe feels funny on heel. I am not getting heel support so I returned it. Seems like it's defective.

I do really like these shoes but the outsole only lasted about 3 months hiking on dirt and sand. That's ridiculous. Hopefully the 6 lasts longer. And the colors....ugh. Seriously? Did someone actually pick them or did they throw a dart at a color wheel to pick the color combinations? I want to wear sacks over my shoes to hide them. I would never wear them anywhere else but the trails.

If anyone is buying this shoe for work I suggest not, it's really slippery on any flooring or tile. I literally fell just because the floor is mop. I work in a long term care setting and I would not recommend this for work. But I do see this shoes really good outside on concrete or running.

I wore these for the first time this past weekend on a 5mi hike. The first half of the hike felt great but the second half my left foot started to cramp up in the ball/arch. I will say that they fit very well and are very lightweight. The pegs works well on the dirt trails but I still had a small amount of slippage when it was too steep of an incline.

I didn't find it supportive enough for my arch. It was better with an additional insole. However I ended up returning it because the way the sole was glued to the shoe looked uneven and seemed like it might separate prematurely. The sole is also thick/ stiff which means your heel will pop out of the shoe with every step. I don't normally mind it, but with everything else I didn't want to keep it.

SIze is correct, too narrow. Shoes were only worn briefly inside to assess fit.

This did not feel as supportive as my Clifton 8s. My foot was falling in…not enough arch support for me.

I bought these for an upcoming hiking trip. Haven’t worn much yet but seem comfortable. I will say my recommended size by Zappos an 8.5 was too big. I normally wear a 8.5 in Saucony and Brooks, however the 8 in the Hoka fit much better. I also wear an 8min other Hoka styles. Also, I sent the first pair of 8s back as the fabric around the collar was already fraying. For the price, I wanted shoes that don’t start out looking worn.

Shoes fit. However disappointed in how much I paid for these and it appears some one has worn and returned these sneakers. I want new shoes.

These fit very well. I wear them only to walk 3-1/2 miles per day and the reason I give 3 stars is because the vibram sole nubs wore out in 3 months. The soles shuld last longer for the price.

I read reviews and made the decision to order my true size. I was planning to use the shoes for hiking which depending on the time of year, I wear differing thickness of socks. The shoes are very stylish and the comfort of cushion was great! Unfortunately, the fit was 1/2 size too small for me, regardless of sock thickness. The sock-like shoe makes it very snug across my high instep and was very uncomfortable after wearing them around the house for 15 minutes. I returned them and order the Anacapa 2 Low GTX in 1/2 size larger than my normal and they are working out great.

I need a shoe that comes in a wide due to arthritis in my toe joints. I also walk a lot, and so look for trail rated shoes with a rugged outsole so that they last longer than 3-4 months. Hoka ATR was a great shoe for that - until they changed the heel design and gave it the tab that curves away from the heel, which for me means that my heel slips. Unfortunately, the Speedgoat suffers from the same flawed heel design, so I will be returning them
I'd also recommend:

The right shoe was too small it rubbed against my pinky toe. Honestly the sizing on Hokas is all over the place. I tried another pair exact same shoe - speedgoat 5 - same exact size and the right shoe was too big my heel kept sliding up. Not sure what is going on with their product line.
