The Gaviota-though in the same size as my previous Hoka's was too big.

I wanted to try these because they are plush which is my favorite and I need wides which only a few hokas come in. I feel they run slightly smaller than the bondi. I have less room in front of my toes. The width feels the same. The sole however is no where near as plush as the bondi. These feel very firm. I am hoping they will soften up as I wear them.

As an adult I had to relearn how to walk and these are the BEST shoes ever. I've actually have purchased 4 pairs. The only thing I have a complaint on is the laces. They come untied every few seconds. I have received an message from CS on ways to tie my shoes but they still come untied. My daughter says the same thing. I feel like a child having to tie my shoes mulitple times a day

These are pretty nice, but went with the Brooks Glycerin 20. The Brooks are super cushy but still a firm support. This would be 2nd runner up.

It's ok. Smaller fit. Bring back Bondi 7. Why stop production on a style that people like me would buy all the colors? In fact I have 2 in the same color.

Loved how the shoe looked and felt except for my longest toe hit the front and a bigger size would've given me slippage in the back. Also, no room for a Met pad without foot rubbing on the top. Good shoe for someone with no hammertoe/bunion

I walk about 30 miles per week so need a bit more ankle support to provide the stability

Great shoe so far. Very comfortable, nice wide toe box & has minimized the pain I was having from plantar fasciitis. The arch support could have been better but i was able to take out the original insert & put my own in.

I am an RN on a busy med/surg floor- on my feet for 12 hours every shift. I have tendinitis so I usually have a slight limp toward the end of my shift, but these shoes are awesome! They can keep up with the high demands of my job and no more limping or sore feet at the end of the day!

It's a good shoe but the insole is a little narrow and sits awkwardly on my arch. I can feel a gap between the side of the shoe and the bottom of the shoe when I walk. It's awkward. I don't think I will buy online again. I usually purchase my shoes in the store and have purchased the gaveottas before so I was fairly confident in purchasing online.

Purchased after multiple failures with other brands, have been dealing with plantar fasciitis in one foot. Was really hoping for a much sturdier arch support, and squishier footbed, I'm a pastry chef and literally standing for 10 hours a day, sometimes 6 days a week. That being said, they are adequate when I added my own arch supports. The toe is roomy, and they aren't terrible on a wet floor(could be better). My needs are very specific though.

Amazing cushioning and support in these Gaviota 4 shoes. I don't have knee pain anymore with these. The only thing I would change is to have less padding in the tongue because it makes my feet too hot. Which is fine in the winter, but not so nice in the summer.

I purchased this shoe (first time wearer) hoping it would help with plantar fasciitis and heel spur but it did not help. However, this was just hoping on my part.

I've been wearing HOKA Gaviotas for about three years now. They are expensive but the reduction in my foot problems offsets the price. I started out with the two, moved on to the three and am now in the fours. I liked the threes the best. I do have to change out the laces for bungee cord laces as I need the top of the shoe to be for forgiving. My biggest complaint with HOKA shoes is the choice of colors. I'm not just old, but old school as well. How about something more subdued for those of us who prefer to maintain a low profile!

If you go to Hoka’s website they rank their shoes, Neutral, Moderate, or Stability. This is on the far end of stable. You do not want this level of stability if your feet don’t pronate or supinate. It was absolutely the wrong shoe for me. On the first trial run I got 200 meters out and rolled my ankle, sprained it severely. I can’t completely blame the shoe, but it seems like the rigid ness, maybe even the tread, made me trip. Please do not attempt to switch between models with an online purchase. Do it in store, especially if you’re a runner. For the right person, this could be a great shoe.

I have had the Gaviota 2-4 I was not pleased with the 3’s and so I was concerned to try these but I have been very happy. My wider feet generally fit in this style but I do wish I would have gone with a wide. With that said I really like the 4’s the material has improved and the foot bed is still solid with great supportive cushion. I can wear these for a 12 hour day at work.

These are very well made shoes, but they weren't what I needed. I need shoes that are comfortable to stand in, not walk, but literally just stand in for 13 hours at my job. They were great when I walked around, but at work my feet started hurting after about 2 hours. So while they are good shoes, if you need some to stand in for long hours these might not be them

I use the shoe for working out and general wear. I buy specifically for metatarsal padding. This model doesn't seem to have quite the padding that the previous shoes have had. I often have had difficulty with my heel slipping, but in this model I do not.

Love the performance of the shoe. The shoe laces are a big disappointment as they will not be stay tied. Have to double know them. I guess it's what they're made of that causes them to untie so bad. Everything else is fine

Shoe is very comfy. Wish the inside of the shoe where the heal rests doesn't wear out so quickly.

I wear the Gaviota 4's on a daily basis and while they are a comfortable shoe, they are nowhere near as plush as I had expected. This is my 4th pair all together but I changed from the Bondi style hoping for better "cush" that I did not receive with this shoe. I will continue to be a customer but now I know what to expect

I am a nurse and on my feet 12-14 hrs a day. I loved Bondi7 and as my bunions have gotten worse needed a shoe with high stability. This shoe does just that but doesn't feel as wide or high in the toe box as the bondi and the arch placement and support is different. Those are the only reasons the shoe doesn't get a 5 from me. I have worn the bondi 7 for years and wanted to see if I could wear something different and make it through a shift. I won't wear for my job but I'm wearing for all other needs.
