Great support and cushion. These keep me comfortable all day

I could tell a huge difference in the stability of these shoes compared to the other brands I have.

Alright, so I have terrible flat feet. My feet are always sore along with my back after a long day at work running around and standing. I was skeptical buying these shoes as they are a little expensive but I thought it's worth a shot and I will try anything to get rid of this soreness all over my lower body. Right out the box these shoes are comfy as heck. My feet and back don't hate me as much and I couldn't be more thankful after a long day at work. I really hope they don't stop making these shoes and keep the all black color!

Daily walks. Unbelievably comfortable.

I use this shoe daily and walk between 2-3 miles. It is very comfortable, stable and light.

I have had heel pain for over a year. Have tried so many things including trips to the doctor. I saw some reviews about Hoka and decided to visit. The shoe finder pointed me in the perfect direction. I needed stability but wanted cushion. My first steps in my first pair brought tears of JOY!!!!!! I am back to walking! Will buy again and again and again!!!!!

After disappointing outcomes with the Gaviota 2 and 3, which seemed very different than the original, Hoka has brought back the supportive shoe I now love again with the Gaviota 4. I have surgically reconstructed feet after rupturing the posterior tibial tendons in both feet and need orthotics as well as a shoe designed to provide maximum stability and cushioning. Shoes that fit me are very difficult to find. So I am a smiley face writing a review singing the praises of this shoe which I hope never goes away and is never changed again. In addition to the curse of flat feet with bones fused that prevent inversion and eversion, last year I slipped on wet grass and broke and sprained my ankle at the same time, which dislocated my ankle and broke every bone that comprise the ankle joint. I'm in some Facebook ankle fracture groups and always chime in to recommend the Gaviota 4 to my colleagues ready to get back on their feet after surgery. And, they come in wide, another advantage. Please, please, keep this great shoe as it is. It needs no further tweaking. Your flat-footed friends thank you, at least this one does.

There is support and cushioning in all of the correct places to help the foot problems I have.

My Gaviota 4s are my second pair of Hoka running shoes, I can't imagine a more comfortable, well designed shoe for activewear. I have plantar fasciitis that is kept at bay by the heel cushion design and great stability.

I have significant over pronation in both feet, chronic plantar fasciitis, and weak ankles. I also get knee and hip pain from the issues with my feet and ankles. I got these shoes about a month ago and they are just incredible. I've tried support shoes from other brands and nothing compares. I used to have to wear hiking boots with orthotics on bad feet days, but now I can just wear these. I don't have to add my orthotics and my feet are totally stable and aligned properly when I wear them. I only walk and do not run (though I do walk a lot), so I'm not sure how well they would perform running. I've only had them for a month so I'm not sure about durability yet, but so far there's no wear and tear. I wear them with the Hoka socks and that works really well I did find myself getting a little bit of a hotspot between the arch and heel when wearing them with thinner socks for a long time, but cushioned socks totally solve that issue. My *only* issue that doesn't have a solution is that my pinky toe hits the side a tiny bit. I wish the toe box on that side was just the tiniest bit wider. They don't offer it in wide, but I still wouldn't want it in wide even if they did since my foot isn't wide and it's only that one spot that is a tad narrow. I would say they fit true to size.

Love the comfort and support the shoes provide, has helped with my plantar fasciitis tremendously! Definitely worth the buy.

I wear these daily as I have problems with my feet. I was pleased to see you have stable shoes that are also have cushion in a fun color. I am tired of having to wear boring shoes - I would love purple!
