I was extremely pleased with these shoes at first. Sadly, within the first few weeks of wearing them just for treadmill running, a portion of the sole has become detached. I've worn this brand before without any issue so it's possible I got an unlucky defect, but still disappointing.

They said Hoka shoes were the most comfortable shoes and were simply the best. So I bought a pair. They were right.

These are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I have ever worn. The combination of plushness, stabilizing support, and lightweight construction makes me never want to take them off. They are fantastic for walking or standing for long periods of time. Fatigue and strain are so diminished with these Gaviota 4's that I find myself not even needing to sit down when others are seeking a place to rest after being on their feet for hours. I am starting to plan my clothing around what I goes well with these shoes. Style-wise, the sole is a bit sleeker than other Hokas, and I think the black & white ones look pretty nice. Usually I wear size 6.5 but needed size 7 for adequate toe space when walking. The wide version was too roomy for my somewhat wide foot; regular width has an ample toe box (wider than other Hokas I've tried). It is not exaggerating to say that these shoes have changed my life - everything I do while wearing them is enhanced by their extraordinary comfort and support.

Great shoes. I wear them all day. I teach so I am on my feet all day and have no pain in my feet, legs or hips. They are comfortable and cute.

I needed plush stability and the Gaviota is perfect for me! I liked the fit of the Arahi, but felt the sole was too thin/hard. Please take the Gaviota and put a trail tread on it. I need a stability trail running shoe! Speedgoats are great (I have 2 pair), but arch/ankle still hurt after runs.

I have narrow feet wish these where less wide but other than that they are amazing I have flat feet collapsed arches and this helps my balance and helps my feet not lean inward the support is great. The first time wearing them they felt big and bulky but after a week of wearing them I can say my chronic back pain has improved immensely. I wear orthotics under the sole and let me tell you my feet don't hurt. I stand on my feet all day for 10hours and I come out from worked less fatigued. Thanks for helping my pain really recommend them.

Very comfortable to run in; felt soft on impact. I have plantar fasciitis and I am particular about my running shoes. I did need a 7 wide but normally wear a 7 regular in sneakers. I would buy them again

Wow…love this shoe. With back and knee issues finding the right shoe is nearly impossible. These are comfortable and stable right out of the box. I literally hate wearing shoes and socks and prefer bare feet but these were comfortable all day!

I purchased the Gaviota 4's for pickleball. They're so comfortable, it's like I'm bouncing in air. They have excellent traction and I can move laterally and explosively as needed to get to the ball. The cushioning is great as is the support and stability.

I run /walk. I have had several hoka styles. This one is under the "stable" and "plush". It is stable. Not quite as plush and soft as I had anticipated. But I love the shoe. I have plantar fasciitis- And so far this shoe deflects all the pain and troubles with that. It is a tad loose around the heel so I have to tie the shoe rather tight so that it doesn't slip. I have had the challenger, clifton, mach 4, ariah 6, and stinson- and so far if I was to order tomorrow I would get the gaviota 4 again.
