The Speedgoats were purchased for an upcoming trail half marathon on the Channel Islands. I have been running and hiking in them in Yosemite National Park, and so far, so great!

These are super comfortable for a hike of any distance. The grip is second to none!

The extra cushioned soles allow me to keep trail running at age 60. I run two to three 5 mile trail runs per week and my Hoka Speed Goats help my ankles knees and hips to absorb a lot less impact shock. After running for 30 + years, 15 + years of trail running, I was considering stopping running altogether because my knees were beginning to bcome quite painful around the 4 mile mark. Since I purchased my first pair of Hoka Speed Goats, my most recent purchase is my 5th pair, I have experienced the joy of running basically physically pain free again, well as pain free as can be expected, I mean common running is hard and one is never getting any younger. Thanks Hoka for producing the Speed Goats, you have one loyal happy customer here. Drew

A+ Awesome shoes. I run mostly on trail and these are great. No slipping, nice and grippy on dirt,rocks, road. Comfy with compression socks. I wish they have all black. Also like the Speedgoat 4's with the heel loop better. Overall good shoes for trail running.

Purchased a pair in 2022, ran one ultra(83mi) and returned them because they were to small and caused a bad blister on big toe. Made the switch to the Mafate Speed 4, which I LOVE and became my go to Ultra/Backyard Ultra shoe! Fast forward to October 2023, purchased another pair of SG 5's but went up a size. Wore then straight out of the box for the Shawnee 50mi Ultra, one of the hardest East Coast 50(54) mile races with 11,000 elv. Gain. Took 2nd OA and set new PR by 2.5hr! Zero issues with the shoes at all, once I went up a size. This being said, tread life is very questionable and also had the tongue tear on my 2nd run in the previous SG 5's. If you have a super wide foot, these probably arent for you and you may want to look into the Mafates.

I absolutely love the Speedgoat! It's my "go to shoe" for hiking and walking! Great for urban hiking and navigating the steep hills in San Francisco. The Harbor Mist / Black color is the BEST!! Don't get your pair too! Cheers

I've been an Altra Olympus wearer for the past couple of years. I very much appreciate the addition padding on the Speedgoat. I have about 30 miles on the Speedgoats now and I am glad I got them. A few quibbles. Because I have to use the lock lacing tie to cinch up the show properly, they harder to put on and take off. I would also like Velcro tab for shoe gaiters, but super glue got that done.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. The are comfortable? Supportive and long lasting. I beat shoes up? These last long and feel better than any I've ever had.

Golf shoes. Trail shoes.

I have a bad right foot due to multiple surgeries. Hokas are the only shoes I can wear comfortably and due my daily walking. As a result I have 20 pairs in my closet now.

I bought these great shoes to do a little trail hiking. But switched them for Golf as well. Boy I'm glad I did they make fantastic Golf shoes.

I have had plantar fasciitis for years and could not walk long distances or on uneven surfaces at all without crippling foot pain. I now have 3 pairs of Hokas (2 running/walking and one hiking) and have ZERO PAIN! I'm not stiff in the morning and I have zero pain while walking. It's truly amazing.
