I was really blown away by how light they are but the upper still has a great thickness to it. I probably opt for these more than I should.

This is my third pair of Speedgoat 5s and my primary training and race-day shoe. I have run numerous trail races with all the normal obstacles, to include roots, rocks, ruts, steep rocky climbs and wet/muddy conditions in which the Speedgoat 5s held up great with no issues. I especially like that they expel water quickly when completely submerged during water crossings.

Hoka's are the best fitting shoes. Love them. I have 6 pairs and they all fit ssoooo gooood

After years of wear and tear on my lower body in the military, my current shoes weren't doing my knees any favors. After the first couple strides in my Hoka's I could tell the difference, good support and enough stack to take the knee pain away. Will definitely buy again.

Use them everyday! Super lightweight and comfortable!

I bought these as a gift for my daughter as replacements for her Nike running shoes. She absolutely loves them.

These are great for hiking. Good traction and extremely comfortable. And the bright colors keep me from getting lost. :)

Don't know why Hoka doesn't carry more styles and colors in 14 extra wide?

For years I have been wearing "normal" width shoes, but with my last pair of Hoka's I noticed I had some hot spots. So I bumped up to the wide models, what a difference. The Speed Goats are a very comfortable stable shoe, with a decidedly aggressive tread pattern making it ideal for off road use. I love that they come in ridiculous colors. Why? Because what's life without whimsy?

Just started trail running and recommended this shoe by a couple of buds. Absolutely love this shoe! Feels great and stable with plenty of cushion. Would recommend!

One run and I was sold. The Speedgoat 5 is the best trail runner I've used and I don't plan to switch again. It's extremely light weight with amazing support and comfort. I was blown away by the grip. I've had zero issues running on the rocky trails of the Arizona desert.

I'm a senior golfer with severe arthritis. I was playing 9 holes twice a week which the Hoka's have allowed me to play 18 holes twice a week doubling my enjoyment

The Speedgoat suits the non-speedy old goat. When they're new it's like running on air. I guess I'm too much of a heel-striker because that's where they seem to wear out the most.

While I have only been on my new Hokas for two runs, I am a very experienced runner so feel able to assess them now (aside from durability). I have been quite struck by how great these feel. I switched from a couple models of Salomon trail runners and found these to be a more stable platform for my feet, with very grippy lugs, and more lightweight and nimble than I was expecting. The colors are a bit .... loud ... but I'm in the woods or on the mountain so I don't really care about that.

I picked up the wides. Ran 7 miles in them today. Incredible!

This is my second par of SB 5's. I use them for any type of hikes, White Mountains NH to basic local trails. My first pair lasted a year due to difficult rocky hikes. They breathe very well, excellent all around traction and comfortable. My only negative is lateral support when hiking on steep slides, can roll the ankle easily. Generally I will wear a more supportive boot if I hike very steep trails.

This is my second pair of Hoka Speedgoats. I use them for backpacking. I have found them to be durable and grippy for walking on granite rock and other surfaces. I have never had a blister in my Speedgoats and that is walking multiple 20 mile days.
