Great cushioning on trails and actually roads. Grippy as well. Stepped up to the wides after foot/ankle surgery. All around excellent shoe, though do wish the tongue was thicker to provide more cushioning from the laces.

Been using the Speedgoat for years and it works in all conditions while always providing grip and cushion.

I am 280 pound and running has always killed my shins and ankles got these because a friend recommended them and they arw the best money i have ever spent so comfortable

I love this shoe. Feel safe and secure in the shoe. The vibrant soul really offers great traction in all conditions. I would offer one suggestion that if you want to use the razors love in the top highlights, the time does not extend out of the shed far enough to accommodate the slicing pattern. A longer time and a little more padding would be appreciated. Other than that thank you to the engineers.

Been running in Speedgoats since the 2s. These shoes fit well in the toe-box (I always go 1/2 size up to avoid toes crunching on the downhills), gets rid of water very well, absorbs rocks and roots, while maintaining stability.

Only have 15 miles in them but everything I hoped for so far!

Needed new trail runners so I gave the Speedgoat 5 a try. I took them up and down a trail I frequent that averages about a 19% grade. My foot felt extremely secure in the shoe - noticeably better than my previous shoe, the Challenger ATR 6 (which is, as the name indicates, more of an all terrain shoe.) On the steeper downhill sections the pressure was completely off my toes. The Vibram sole gave me excellent traction both up and down hill. These also fit better than the Challenger as they're more of a true D or mid width where the Challenger felt a bit wide. I wouldn't run these down a paved road but they're first choice for the trail.

Excellent shoe for my day hikes. Comfortable and rugged.

I'm using my Speed goats as golf shoes

I was loyal to a name brand trail shoe and their famous comfortable and responsive sole, but i found that I had to replace them every 6 months. And whenever I'd replace them, I'd go through a two week period of pain and agony while they broke in. These felt like they were already broken in, especially with the availability of a wide size! I had great grip hiking up hills and planting on the tee pads. I had a good ground feel for my push off on my putts. I wore these for the first time ever for 12+ hours straight, 36 holes later, and no pain at all. I'm impressed and now a fan!

I bought this product for light trails in NC. I have always heard good things and so far have found the shoe to be comfortable and helpful for my foot pain

I have waited a long time for HOKA to come out in wide widths. I take a 4E in New Balance and was hesitant to try but the money back guarantee was an enticement. I ordered the Biondi in Xtra Wide and the clifton 9 in Wide. Both fit well and provide enough comfort. I wanted to try this particular shoe for golf because the all terrain sole would provide enough traction and I walk 18 holes. I ordered it a size up 91/2 instead of 9 in a wide and it works well. I wish they offered more of their line in xtra wide.

Sturdy and surprisingly light. I've been running and hiking for years, but am new to trail running. I find these shoes very comfortable, yet rugged enough to handle tough trails. Would definitely buy again.

I just received the shoes this week, but so far they are great. I have pretty severe neuropathy in my feet, and these shoes give me the cushioning I need and don't make it feel like they are too tight on my feet. I'm very pleased with them, so far.

A friend of mine that I used to run with recommended these shoes. I was a little hesitant on the purchase due to the price range but I have found these shoes to be the best padded shoe I have ever worn! After multiple sports related knee surgeries, this shoe is a truly great find for me. I would definitely buy another pair.
