This is the 5th or 6th pair of Hokas I've owned. I believe the quality has gone down. After exchanging for a wide pair because the standard width was extremely narrow, I received the wide version, but the heel on one side is deeper than the other. The right show is noticeably and measurably more shallow. Not going to bother with another return, but likely will switch to another brand with more consistent quality.

Great walking shoe (too old to run any more......). All of my footwear is 9 1/2 so that is what I ordered. This shoe runs small - I had to exchange for a 10 - perfect fit. Exchange was quick and no problem - very responsive.

I use these shoes for exercise walking. I have recently been diagnosed with a heel spur and these shoes really give me the support I need to continue walking.

Good feel, great style and structure. Confident stance which I enjoy.

Will return and hopefully get the rigght one for whom i gifted

I read the reviews and unfortunately don't agree with some of them. Solimar is a nice-looking shoe but lacks support. The insole is just a thin piece of foam and doesn't cushion the ride.

Just a little breaking in (walking) before I felt that Hoka shoe comfort. I don't run in this so have no concerns about sole ware. But for knocking about, dog walking on sidewalks or trails, perfect. I'm a size 12 +, so would not have bought these if only available in 12 or 13. But 12.5 = gold.

This show is comfortable but squeaks in the midsole of n every step. It's pretty annoying to walk through the house or office and everyone hears your shoes squeak.

My hubby loves the Solimar style, but the colors are limited and a bit blah. Add some fun colors but please keep making these shoes. I rarely find a running/walking shoe that my hubby will wear without complaint!

Lightweight. Durable. I use a little mink oil on them and they tolerate moisture a little better

My husband has 3 pair of your shoes. I have 2 pair. I bought this pair for my teenage grandson for track. He absolutely loves them!

My Hoka Solimar were the most comfortable shoes I have owned, but also the shortest lived shoes I have ever owned. In my research of wanting better walking, training, and active shoes I came across these. I had friends' who had recommended the brand and wore them daily, most of which who were runners, but I was still hesitant because I had never spent more than $70 on a pair of shoes before. Ultimately I gave them a try, and they were delivered to me in August last year. I did not wear them daily, only for those moments of activity, typically on the weekends, in which I probably wore them less than 100 times total. Now, as of March of this year, my left shoe has blow out on the side of the shoe near the top of the ball of my foot; and the right shoe is starting to have a blow out where my big toe is. I'm disappointed in the longevity for the price I paid, and was really hoping for a year or more. It was fun & comfortable, but I have no plans of purchasing again if this is how I should expect their shoes to hold up.

Haven't worn them a lot just yet but so far they're great. Love the look of them, that's actually attracted me to purchase.

unhappy with quality and value, very cheep feeling shoe

I LOVE HOKA and own several pairs, My navy SOLIMARS turned out to be BEYOND disappointing...when I tried them on, they felt fine but as I have worn them, I have noticed that the toe box is unusually small, the shoe is not as lush on the feet as my other pairs (you don't feel like you're walking on air...) and WORST of all, the sneakers make a squishing sound when I walk! The shoe literally emits a noise!!! Note: I can't wear them to work anymore for this reason!I wish I could return them...wary of buying HOKA's online now.

I am a recreational runner and enjoy doing several 5Ks a year. I ordered both Solimar and Rincon knowing I would return one of them. I chose the more streamlined Solimar and love the comfort and cushion and felt so good finishing a 5K in San Francisco last week. All black looks really cool and I wear them casually too. Solimar doesn't don't have that too thick sole look. I'm happy my selection was Solimar-velous!

Perfect for my gym workouts: Zumba, treadmill, weights. Couldn't be happier with this shoe. My second pair.

Much too narrow compared to other hokas I've bought, can not wear, if you must buy go at least a half size up

Narrow toe box, not true to size. Suggest ordering one size larger than usual.

Shoes are lightweight and great for all day use!

I've had my pair for about a year and the issues I thought would go away after they were broken in are still here. My main two issues are the insole and the toe box: the insoles themselves do not stay in place and I have to readjust them before every use now, they also are slippery against every type of sock fabric I've worn. The toe box doesn't feel secure and coupled with the insole leaves my toes feeling like they are floating in space. Silver lining is the sole is nice and cushy. The shoe runs small so I went up a half size.
