I really liked the looks of the Solimar (or maybe hated the looks of the Clifton). The Solimar was not as comfortable for me and the fit was very narrow even though the sizing was 9D (normal width), I gave them a shot anyway and wish I would have returned them for fit. I think the narrowness of the shoe might have caused the sole to seperate prematurely.

Maybe my 8th or 9th pair of hokas and for first time say fit is narrow and seems last changed. Never order wide models

It's unfortunate that this nice pair of sneakers does not offer a longer shoelace. The shorter shoelace makes it impossible to wear the shoes properly. Hoka does not offer a replacement shoelaces so unfortunately I need to return the shoes.

Bought and returned immediately. Fit was very narrow, length was true to size.

Most Hoka’s have a wide toe box. The Solimar’s are way too narrow., even in a men’s D. My toes hung over the side , making them very uncomfortable !

Love the look, the color, the comfort! With that being said, not sure how anyone can run in these, well for very long that is. I just use mine for walking my dog and the soles are nearly gone. I get that they're very soft for comfort, but 2 miles a day for three weeks and the wear down is crazy.I'm not even that big, 6'2 -195 lbs. I had high hopes for these, but not replacing them every month.

Nice shoe but I thought it ran a bit small. I'm a size 11 1/2 womens so I bought a size 10 in men's. They fit like the women's size 11 and not quite as comfortable. I kept the women's size 11. I wish you carried women's 11 1/2.

Have Mortons Neuroma. Special insert for left foot. Just not quite up to the comfort level I was hoping for.

Very nice shoe however they do not feel like $130 shoes to me. I will stick with New Balance.

I read the reviews and unfortunately don't agree with some of them. Solimar is a nice-looking shoe but lacks support. The insole is just a thin piece of foam and doesn't cushion the ride.

The fit and size are good. Unfortunately, the shoes squeak loudly with every step. I will give them a couple days to see if it improves.

The style was great, however the fit was too narrow for my husband. He has the transport in size 9 so I ordered the same size on the Solimar.

Purchased as a replacement for my pair of Clifton shoes. Very disappointed with this shoe. For a wide width this shoe is snug and uncomfortable compare to the Clifton. The material seem cheap and plastic like. Regret purchasing this model. I wasted my money for these and will now have to consider spending more money to get another pair of Cliftons or Arahi.

After buying three pairs of shoes from Hoka, my wife and I agree that they fit well, look great, feel good but after a few weeks of wear, they all have developed a "squeak" while walking. Get rid of the squeak and you have a unanimous winner.

My shoe size is 9.5, and that's what I ordered. The fit is good. Ignore the suggestion to go up one-half size. The shoe seems more flimsy when compared to other brands I have bought. I have removable orthotics, which I use in all of my shoes, even these. No shoe prevents my plantar fascitis by itself, even these.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance and Vionic

I've bought two pairs of Solimar's this year and the footbed has come "unglued" (or whatever you want to call it) on one shoe on both pairs after several months of wear. It makes wearing them slightly uncomfortable because it's pretty hard to get it back in just the right place. I've had multiple pairs of Rincon 3's in the past and have worn them longer and just as hard, yet never had that issue. I really love the design and want to try a third pair but I have my hesitations of it happening again.

On the positive side, I like the light weight and overall comfort. On the negative side, the tongue slips to the side on both feet. Not sure why you didn't design this shoe to avoid that. My last pair didn't do that as the tongue had a piece of stretchy material stitched on to hold it in place.
