I hoped to use these for officiating lacrosse, and they did not disappoint. I was looking for something with the Hoka cushioning but needed solid lateral support movement and stability. They helped my feet and legs get through a very busy season and found they had ample traction on wet turf. My only suggestion is the tongue is not long enough and when the top lace hole is used it can slip below it. I would/will buy these again.

This was a fantastic shoe to help me start my running journey! I took these shoes all along the way to my first half marathon. I think these shoes shine in flat city road / sidewalk conditions. I think these shoes are difficult to go on runs that may either have longer distances since they are made more with comfort in mind and not endurance. At the end of my half marathon, I think due to the inclines and declines, I ended up with bruising on my toes. I don't think I would return to a shoe with this much padding again now that I have more of an idea of what kind of shoe that may suit me better.

Great Shoe, but had hopes it would be a great runner. Not bad but I think I am going back to the Rincon for flat pavement runs. Size up, the forefoot area is tight, not lots of volume. The Kawana does have great soft cushion. I have a great new pair of walking shoes.

In 4/2022, I bought a pair of Bondi 7s. Love them! I was riding this Hoka high, when I saw that the Kawana was listed on the website as "plush" as well. So I bought them in 5/2022 hoping to love another pair of Hoka shoes. I have really tried to appreciate them, but candidly, I wish I had returned them within the 30 day grace period. They seem to lack the plush heal that the Bondi has. In comparison, it's like there is no heel at all. They are attractive shoes, but not ones I would pull out of the closet for a run, or a long walk. They may end up gathering dust in my closet as I patiently wait for other colors of Bondi 8s. Definitely excited to get a pair of Bondi 8s. Hoka --- maybe create a men's color in some type of red?

First, this was a very comfortable shoe for me! Just the right cushion to response ratio for me. And as a female who has to wear men's for the width, I was really happy with the colour selection (mine were the dreamsickle colour). This shoe is marketed as a gym shoe, a trainer for new runners (I'm not), larger or heel strike runners (I'm both). A lot of online reviews couldn't figure what to make out this shoe. I really liked it *NOTE: I sized up .5 & still felt it was a little snug throughout. But the exposed midsole material on the bottom started flaking off after only 20 miles. That's a majour problem at any price point. Maybe they're good for the gym, but I bought them for a running shoe & they didn't hold up 2 weeks for that purpose. So I sadly returned them this week.

Have been a Brooks guy for a long time but heard a lot about Hoka's. After hearing good things a couple of different times I decided to give them a try. Overall, they're just okay. I don't really feel like I get the same foot comfort I got with Brooks.

These shoes cut me on inside of my feet , all my other hoka's feel fine

These are the only ones that are uncomfortable on my feet. Should exchange them . Other hoka's are great

Took a little while to break in, the shoe actually feels thinner, like a tight fit through the middle part of your foot. I don't require wide size shoes either.

I like the looks of the shoe and for walking or working out. I run everyday and have 2 pair of Bondi 7 I like better for walking or standing. I run everyday in Rincon 3's (4 pair), Rocket X, or even the Mach 4. These are good casual shoes for working out.

For some reason my foot feels like it's always falling off the inside part of the sole on the left shoe.

Had to send them back unfortunately. The pair I got in exchange was a little dirty. Still love the shoes but overall a bad experience.

Bought them for gym workouts but just don't find them comfortable.

They run a little big and after wearing them for a while, I would probably buy them a size smaller

I bought this shoe and a pair of speedgoats at the same time. These fit more narrowly in the toe box and offer very little lateral stability. Not the best shoe for working out.

These shoes are comfortable if you are constantly moving, but the minute you stop and stand or if you are sitting to drive or at your desk, they are extremely uncomfortable. I have to untie the shoes when not moving otherwise they kill my feet.

In my opinion these are the coolest looking shoes in the Hoka line, but they killed my feet after only 2 miles. Returned. Super bummed.

I've never had the side of my ankle get cut from a shoe before. After about 10 miles of *walking* (and not all at once!) the shoe is not usable.
