I bought a pair in a size 12 and they run a little small or should I say tight around the foot. I didn't notice until I was at work that they were too tight and needed more teen in the upper fabric material. I wasn't able to wart them but they waking if the shoes are nice. I would like a discount off another pair if that's possible to get full experience of Hokas

Waiting close to a month for an exchange to a larger size, exchange process is too complicated. Follow up phone calls not providing results.

I love the sneaker, but I had an issue with the sole and them coming apart there. I got a second pair and unfortunately the same Thing is happening. Im thinking its just the style I got. The Gaviota 4, im just disappointed with them and won't buy them again.

I've never had a shoe that has fatigued my legs to the point I could not walk anymore. Not only did this shoe start to hurt my ankle, calves, thighs, and feet, but it started to fatigue my legs to the point I almost couldn't walk. I've never had a pair of shoes do this. Luckily I had another pair of shoes with me during my trek and all that pain went away as soon as a switched shoes. So it was without a doubt the shoes. I not have crazy feet or leg problems, so all of these crazy sypmtoms resulting from the shoe and disappearing as soon as a switched shoes points to only one culprit.

Hoka's customer service is lousy. I am upset because I have to go to the post office AGAIN to return something I don't want.

I ordered my usual size women's size 11 wide, and although the fit was accurate, there was no cushioning, which is unlike the Hoka shoes I have bought in the past. I have enjoyed having less back pain and knee pain because of abundant cushioning in the sole of the shoes, but this one is totally void of any cushion at all. I will try another style of Hoka.

I can't recall which pair of Hokas was my first pair but they were wide and comfortable like walking on clouds. This particular brand even in the wide pair is not wide at all and super stiff. More expensive as well. Overall disappointed.

The foam on the back of both shoes has torn - my third pair of gaviotas and disappointed as this is only a few months into the shoe with normal usage.

Used to wear Bondi 7. With Hoka phasing it out in favor of Bondi 8, I tried the 8. It was unstable due to rounded sole. A Hoka customer service rep recommended the Gaviota 4 because it was just like the Bondi 7. Wrong. The Gaviota's heel is raised up making it feel like one of platform shoes KISS wears. Hoka needs to continue the Bondi 7 or I'm gonna have to change brands.

Not an equivalent to a women's shoe. I was told it was 1 size up and after wearing it it's 1.5 sizes up!
Worst experience - I kept clunking for days the shoe was too long and I was not even able to run!
Start offering 2E in women's sizes please.

I ordered my usual 9 wide as I wear with Nu Balance and Scetchers and the were much too small . I returned them and bought Nu Balance at a local running store.

After going through three pairs each of Gaviota 3's with no issues at all, both my wife and I have experienced issues with the Gaviota 4. Less cushion, less arch support, less room in toe box. It just feels off. At first I thought it was maybe I just got a bad pair of shoes, but then my wife started complaining. I have knee soreness now. Scrap this edition and go back to the 3, please. I am going to get a different pair of shoes after just a handful of wearings of these.

Really wanted to like this shoe- in trial short run was the most comfortable and stable running shoe I have ever owned. Unfortunately the next few runs were agonising- there is a design fault with Hoka shoes (google arch problems) - cause blisters in the arch of your foot. I tried different insoles, adjusted the laces but nothing worked - as a result a lost a layer of skin of the arch of my right foot and could barely walk for 2 weeks let alone consider running.

Very tight. This is my second pair of these and this pair is considerably narrower than the first ones. Not sure why they can't make the same shoe twice.

Wore them indoors at my job for a couple of weeks and the sole started to come apart.
I have been a loyal Hoka wearer, and supporter for years. This pair is a huge disappointment.

Having loved the Gaviota 2 (one pair) and Gaviota 3 (four pairs), I was looking forward the new 4's. Unfortunately, the update ruined this shoe. It is not the "plush, foot-hugging comfort, and secure fit" as advertised. After two weeks of walking 10K steps/day, they are painful to walk in. The cushioning in the heel is almost non-existent. Your heel takes the brunt of every step. The upper is cut much fuller than previous versions causing my foot to moving from side to side in the shoe. The only improvent is the lacing, which is now easier to adjust. Big disappointment Hoka. Please go back to what made the Gaviotas a comfortable, stable, secure-fit.
