Customer service replaced a jacket for me. Even though the process was a fairly drawn out one, bottom line, they did a great job!

Great jacket. Material seems quite a bit less noisy than for example the Beta LT, so more suited to every day use.

I've been wanting to upgrade to a 3L shell for some time based on breathability and rain protection and was excited to have a little extra Christmas money to put toward this. After doing pretty extensive research, I was impressed by this jacket's reviews and features at a solid price point for it's class. So far it's been breathable as advertised, but I haven't put it to many tests yet. The waterproofing is great. I look forward to using this as my go to rain shell and trading in a couple other pieces, one being gore-tex paclite rain shell. I've always admired Arc'teryx gear and I hope this lives up to the expectations!

As the owner of multiple Arc'teryx jackets, I've always had an issue with their oversized hoods. If you're wearing a helmet, it makes sensebut if you're not skiing/snowboarding etc, it's not the most usable feature. The smaller hood on this version of the Beta is the perfect size. Also really happy with the interior pocket which is small but just barely fits my phone. So I'm really pleased and this one is a keeper. Height 6'2, weight 210 and purchased an XL

I bought this with the sole purpose as a shell for skiing, and am loving it. Super light, perfect for California winter season.

Jacket is light and super waterproof. I ordered the large but with the new sizing I could have got the medium.

Coat is well maid, it would be nice to have a bigger inside pocket however that's not that big of a deal

Great shell but it's definitely expensive. Haven't put it to use yet so can't speak to the goretex but it looks great. I'm 5'8 and I got the medium. A little big but I figure rain jackets should be bigger so you can layer underneath.

I do not often write reviews but I hope my experience will be helpful to others. I love my Arcteryx gear and I love my small Zeta AR jacket. It fits me perfectly and I was hoping to update it, but it is no longer available. I purchased a BetaJacket as a replacement but the fit is just not the same. I am 5 ft 8 in tall, 155 lbs, average build and fit 32 in waist Arcteryx pants. The small Beta Jacket sleeves are too long and the chest and waist is too slim for comfort. I can live without pit-zips but the fit is not the quite right.

My wife purchased this jacket a year ago, and after doing some thorough research of my own, I decided to follow her lead and got mine yesterday. Overall, the jacket is excellentwell-designed and high-quality. However, there's one significant issue that kept me from giving it a full rating.
This is an outer jacket, which means it's meant to be worn over other clothing. Unfortunately, the designers of the Arc'teryx Beta jacket seem to have overlooked a key point: many menespecially older mentend to carry some weight around the midsection. The jacket's slim cut makes it a poor fit for those of us with a bit of a belly, effectively excluding a large portion of the intended market.
This "slim fit" trend seems to be popular across many clothing brands these days, but in cases like this, it comes at the cost of comfort and practicality for a broader range of customers.

I really wanted to love this jacket but unfortunately it doesn't fit. Because it's designed to be a but more fitted that mean if you're on the heavier side with more hips then it simply can't zip up. Whenever I sized up it just felt like only the arms were getting longer. It would be great if the Beta was offered in a fit that was more inclusive to different body types.

This is my go to ultimate protection against heavy rain and strong winds. It's a great lightweight and easily packable shell. But where did the armpit zippers go??? True, it's my own fault that I didn't check the website description against all the assumed details (does it have two side pockets? Is the hood attached between the sleeves?), but I thought that at this price point I'm getting a quality jacket.

I find the jacket to be versatile, but it unfortunately isn't fully waterproof. After being in the rain for three hours, water seeped through the material around the back and pocket area.

Unfortunately it didn't fit. The sleeves are insanely long. You can see in the photo too that the model has the material super bunched up just above his wrists. On a small, the sleeves hang below the bottom of the jacket 5.5"! I'm 5' 4" and 140lbs, medium build, and the length of the jacket was ok, just a tad long maybe. Tightness was about right for a rain jacket.

Arcteryx makes everything for outdoor use and to not have pit zips in virtually every active jacket is perplexing.i guess having gortex, low profile hood AND pitzips is too much to ask for a high end outdoor clothing mfr -when I guarantee that 100% of their customers want it.confounding .if you make it I'll buy it right away!!

Burn like damage all over the shell after 1 use. I went snowboarding and I did not know that this jacket wasn't intended for that activity. The jacket is great and still functional but I just got it and it looks so worn and used after 1 time wearing it.
I was going to buy a ski jacket but was recommended the beta instead. The bloor street location also made me feel like I was dumb for taking this "durable" jacket snowboarding, saying that it obviously isn't meant for snowboarding and is just a "light rain" jacket.
Just disappointing given all the stories of how long these jackets last and how excited I was for years to finally get one. Just keep your expectation low

Quite disappointed with this jacket. Was persuaded into it by a physical store salesperson. The shop didn't have the color I wanted so I bought it online. The cut is way too restrictive and material too flimsy for my taste. Compared to the other Arc'teryx and Veilance jackets I have, the quality of my latest purchase pales greatly in comparison.

No pit zips for any gortex jacket is just crazy.you state it's for hiking well yes we get warm AND I want to use this for warm ski days as my 5 yr old Sabre which I love is too bulky for warm ski dayscome on Arc'teryx all your physical activity jackets MUST have pit zips ..no I dont want the bulky helmet comparable Beta LT
Waaaay too many choices with waaay too many exact uses..we all want this jacket for warmer days or all around use (& rain jacket)that has a low profile hood NOT those big bulky flappy helmet compatible ones sorry but I'm frustrated S a long time Arc customer things seems to change too much also no more "short" Sabre ski pants mine are wearing out & need new ones & you don't have them anymore
Ugh

I purchased the Beta Jacket last year and wore it fewer than five times before noticing some strange stain spots. Concerned, I took it to an Arc'teryx professional cleaning service, but after cleaning, the stains became even worse, spreading to areas like the hat and neck part.
I brought the issue to the store, where the sales associate suggested it might be due to water leakage caused by a material defect. I submitted multiple claims, but the process was frustratingsometimes receiving no response, and other times going back and forth with no resolution. Now, after six months, I have stopped wearing the jacket altogether.
Most disappointing was my last attemptI sent the jacket to the repair team, expecting a voucher or replacement. Instead, they sent it back in the same condition with no resolution. There seems to be no quality control or effective customer service.
My family, friends, and I have been loyal Arc'teryx fans for years, purchasing numerous products. However, this experience has made us seriously question the brand's quality and service. Very disappointed!

After not even 2 skiing seasons the zipper broke. I had to pay for the repair, although Arcteryx didn't deliver what it promises. Disappointed by the quality of the jacket and the support.

Lightly used with major wear showing on pockets. Apparently you can not carry a phone in pocket or it will self destruct
