The gloves are ok. I have very large hands and usually need to wear men's medium gloves. Purchased the women's large. They are very long, and literally slip off the hand. Will be returning. Otherwise ok.

I have an older version of these gloves that I bought several years ago. They fit properly (I always wear a women's large in gloves), were comfortable and kept my hands feeling amazingly dry when cross-country skiing; the lining wicks sweat away and the shell doesn't get soaked if you wind up crashing in deep snow at the bottom of the hill. They're incredibly light and packable. The one problem with them was that the stitching started to separate during the first season I used them. Not durable!!! I toyed with getting another pair but didn't because of the durability issues. But this year the old ones are quite ragged so I decided to get two more pairs.
The new ones are much tighter and smaller than the old ones despite being the same size (women's large.) The fingers are tighter, the hand breadth is tighter and the elastic around the wrist is tighter. Also, they're too short in the hand, the wrist elastic actually falls across the top part of my hand rather than the actual wrist, which is uncomfortable. It also leaves more room for snow to get in at the wrists. Not sure it's worth returning them, I will try them anyway and maybe the size won't be a big problem. But it's disappointing, to say the least. LLBean, why would you start making your gloves smaller? People aren't getting any smaller! And these aren't cheap!

I really like these gloves...they fit well, they are warm without being bulky....BUT they are not holding up. I purchased in October and have a split where the fabric meets the palm on the right and a hole in the top of one of the left fingers. I would be willing to try another pair.

I was sure hoping these would have been warmer. They are okay but wouldn't buy again.

Lightweight gloves, not enough grip: I wouldn't be able to drive in these.

These would be awesome gloves -- they're comfortable and warm -- except for the shoddy construction. The stitching started coming loose within a week.
The stitching was a definitely warning sign since this was not my first go-round with these gloves. I purchased them from LL Bean several years ago and had the same problem with those. First the stitching comes loose and then the finger seams split open. Based on all the recent high reviews, I thought LL Bean had corrected these issues. Apparently not.
Not the quality product one would expect from LL Bean. Not worth $49.95 when they start falling apart immediately.

They were well made but not at all warm. It was like wearing nothing. I returned them.

I bought this as reviews and articles said these were incredibly warm gloves. Alas, even in 45 to 50 DC weather they are not keeping my hands warm. The fit was fine but am so disappointed as I truly like many of L.L. Bean's products.

I have long fingers, not puggy, just long fingers and palm. I usually order large in women's gloves and they fit fine (depending on retailer and quality of product). These gloves are complety oversized. A medium would have been the ticket. I put them in and they look like muppet hands, large and puffy. They could slip off f someone grabbed my hand for support. I suggest going a size down if found in my situation.

The small is too large. And, most importantly, not warm! What has happened to LL Bean?

My last pair were the best. But this pair are faulty the lining comes out of the fingers when you take them off making it difficult to get back on.

Very disappointed in these gloves. I purchased the medium size. The wrist area was tight but the fingers were huge. I can't comment on how warm they might have been since I only tried them on.

Lightweight and comfortable but offer no warmth. Wore them for a walk, it was 32 degrees out, and my hands were frozen. There was no true guidance on label about warmth factor. I returned them.

I just bought these hoping to replace old gloves. They did not keep me warm. We live in the northeast and just had a cold blast. These gloves did not keep my hands warm walking my dog. Admittedly it was cold 11 degrees but my fingers froze. I couldn't wait to get home to take them off. They would be appropriate for 40-45 degrees. Not anything colder. They do fit comfortably for driving. That's why I gave them 2 stars. Disappointed in LLBean.

These gloves do not keep your hands warm, Truth is they feel like they should be a lining for a more substantial glove. They also soak through with any moisture and are not quick drying. These gloves are not good for such activities as walking a dog - you're hands will freezing.

To small. It feels like a kids glove. Not able to open your hand fully. I will be returning it.

I have had these gloves for less than 2 months and the fabric has already ripped on the palm of one glove. I wear them outside when walking my dog or shoveling, nothing extreme. I'm really disappointed as they are warm and very comfortable, but not durable enough to withstand basic activities or machine washing & drying like they say in the fabric & care section online.

They are not very warm and the fit is not snug. Size down if you want them and only use for mildly cold weather

They are comfortable and good looking but they are not very warm at all. My fingertips are always cold when wearing them. There's also threads coming out all over them.

I've purchased these in the past and loved them. Now there is hardly anything to them. For the price, I expect much more from LLbean. I was extremely disappointed. My hands freeze in these. Shame on LLBean.

I thought from the reviews that these gloves would be warm. So disappointed. I have warmer fleece gloves. Not worth the money.
