I ordered a bunch of these in various lovely colors for gifts this Christmas but one was kept for us. After reading other reviews I decided I should test-wash-dry it to see how it turned out. If you follow the instructions on the label to the letter your throw will turn out perfectly. The key thing is to set the spin cycle on the washer to the max to get as much water out as possible or it will take forever to dry on the "air fluff" setting. I washed it on "delicate" as instructed but then put it back it for another spin on "fast". With each throw I gift-wrapped I included a note to FOLLOW THE WASHING/DRYING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE LABEL EXACTLY.

So warm and cozy! I got the extra large in a beautiful burgundy. I had a woven throw, but my puppy kept pulling out the threads so this prevents that, plus when it's cold out it is so warm and very soft. Best throw ever!

I purchased two of these blankets last year for our living room. This year I purchased another one so there would be no fighting ). I also purchased two as gifts this Christmas (with free monogramming/LLBean card). It's thick, soft, luxurious warmth. You cannot beat the quality/value of this blanket.

These throws are the very best I could hope for. I have skin nerve issues to go along with Fibromyalgia and sometimes only the most soft fabrics feel comfortable next to my skin. Anyway, this last one I bought for my cat, Winifred, she loves them too. Wonderful item, glad LL Bean has them available. I'm comfy now.

I purchased this in bright blue for my nephew, who's being deployed by the US Navy to Korea. I had it monogrammed in gray with his three initials. He really liked it and said he would be taking the throw with him on his journey.

Soft and warm, best throw I have ever purchased!

I have a closet full of "plush" throws I have bought over the years and everyone one of them have shed after the first washing. Several years ago I received a LL Bean throw as a free gift from a financial institution and couldn't believe the quality considering it was a free gift! I ended up giving that one to my elderly dad who used it for years. I kept watching to see if the throw would be on sale and sure enough it was. I also had a coupon so I opted to go for the extra large size in mountain red. What can I say other than OMG! I washed it according to the instructions and it came out perfect. Not a single lint ball anywhere. The quality is top notch. All the edged are sewn neatly. Its soft, warm, and the extra large was a genius idea. I put it on the couch, lay on it, fold it up over my feet and pull it up so it like a large plush envelope! Great product.

Purchased one of these in Extra Large a few months ago, and am back for another. We're fighting over it around here. I have similar "plush throws" from various brick and mortar discount stores, but this one is better. (thicker, softer and the perfect weight for watching TV on the couch with the dog) The Extra Large is great for tall people; no cold toes. Don't be afraid to wash it because a few reviewers had problems. As long as you follow the washing instructions that are printed on the tag, you'll be fine. I've washed mine multiple times as directed and it comes out beautifully.

Not my first throw; had gotten one for my dog, then bought an oversize one for myself. Have had NO problems with it, washed in cold water, hung to dry. No pilling (so far). It is VERY warm and lightweight. Blue color, very nice medium blue. The one I got for my dog is monogramed (pink on beige throw) & the name can be read. Last winter, I bought a couple of these for gifts but returned them because the monograming was very poor, could not be read and was more or less covered by the plush fabric. If you get one, be sure to follow washing directions and I don't think I would get it monogrammed (guess it might depend on throw color & monogram color or style).

Every throw blanket that comes in my house ends up under my dog. I wanted something to snuggle under on the couch, now that the weather is getting colder. I ordered the Extra Large in Navy. As usual, LL Bean delivered and then some! I received my shipping notification and the blanket arrived within 2 days. I pulled it out of the (gift giving worthy) packaging and immediately wrapped it around me. I'm still wearing it! SO plushy and soft. The dog is eyeballing me but no dice, puppy. This one is MINE By the way,I may have to order more!

I decided to treat myself with a new blanket to snuggle up with on the couch. I ordered the deep blue in extra large. It's a beautiful color and a nice size. The only problem is everyone in the house loves this blanket. We have a basketful of blankets in our family room for when we are watching tv and this is the one the kids fight over. Even the dog is drawn to this blanket like a magnet. It washes nicely and comes out looking brand new. I will be stocking up on these for my family so I can get mine back.

This throw is very, very nice. It is warm, soft, has finished edges, comes in good colors, is easy wash/dry, and it still looks like new after being laundered and used. Excellent product.

I really love this blanket. It's very soft and comfortable. It's the perfect size to curl up with on the couch. I got the green one and the color is very nice.

I am going to enjoy this! I followed directions - washed on warm and dried on air - only took 30-40 minutes to dry with no heat. Results are perfect! So soft and light and the blue color is beautiful! I want more.

Excellent size and very cozy

Wonderfully comfortable cozy throw. After I bought one, I had to have another for the upstairs, and another for the little place on the Cape, and I've given for gifts. If there was a problem with "fuzzies" from the blanket or washing off, LL Bean must have fixed the problem with the manufacturer because I have bought several of these with no problems. Fantastic weight, wrinkle free, and washes just fine.

We have four of the large throws at our cabin and two of the extra large at home. "Cozy" being the key word, they are so popular that I am ordering more so everyone will be content. More color selections would be welcome - perhaps a celadon and soft green.

I love the feel of this soft gray throw... and I highly recommend buying the extra large size ! It is exactly the right weight and length for stretching out and covering your legs! I have enjoyed using it every night since it has arrived...

Purchased this to snuggle under while I binge watch movies in my very comfortable recliner. I have this in a blanket but the size of this throw is just right for cuddling. The more I wash it, the softer it seems. Didn't think it was possible. The best part is that it doesn't pile. It's like a cuddly teddy bear. I strongly advise against using fabric softener and watch the heat settings on the dryer. Velveteen softness

I have several of these throws. They are the best. Cuddly, soft and wash up great. I do not have any issues with pilling or shedding. Both my pups and kitties think they are purrfect too. I will probably be buying more for the beach house.
