I love this sturdy bag. I ordered the large which really is quite large - large enough to be used as a suitcase. So I exchanged it for a zip top one and am really in love with it.

I've owned a large & small bag for YEARS!! I use them for groceries, running gear, beach gear, overnight, pet gear, you name it. When they get soiled, pop 'em in the washer! Just purchased another one for my daughter for all her dance gear - I'm sure she'll have it forever too!

Love this bag! It's super sturdy and doesn't lose it's shape. I have bought several for gifts and for myself. The quality you get for the price is amazing! They also last forever! I highly recommend this bag!

I ordered several of these this year for each of my children. Every time they come to visit they somehow need one to take stuff home. These bags are heavy duty. We use them for boating and for groceries. They hold up to 400 pounds. The wear like iron and are useful for trips to the beach, picnics etc. We love them and they come in lots of colors so you can tell which one is yours. Sturdy fabric that stands up and even after being washed they are still strong. They come in many sizes. We like the medium and large ones. We prefer the ones that don't zip up so you can put in something tall ( like a keyboard). They are great for carry on luggage for a plane.

I bought the extra large and it is perfect for my trunk. It fits all of my reusable grocery bags and my winter necessities as well. Sturdy, well-crafted...I know it will last a lifetime.

About 1978, my first extra large boat bag was actually used to haul blocks of ice to my boat. Tough duty. The #1 Big Blue Boat Bag went on to haul gear for skiing trips, camping groceries, garden tools, and finally baby clothes on cross country family trips in our Cessna 182 aircraft. Four additional bags, Blue2, Red 1, Red2 and L'il Blue are for everything else a family of four needs to haul or organize. Today in 2016, the first bag is a little worn on the bottom corners and straps but continues in service. I am now buying 2 bags for my daughter to continue the tradition of "It's in the Blue Boat Bag!".

Over the years I've purchased the LL Bean Boat & Tote and used them until they were literally falling apart. But for some reason I got away from them and started using a variety of "other brand" tote bags. NO MORE. I recently purchased two more of the medium Boat & Tote bags to keep organized, and separate, the materials for two classes I teach. They still stand up, and open, leaving both hands free to pack the contents. They still look great after being thrown in the trunk. They still keep me organized. I'm an LL Bean Boat & Tote fan for life!

This tote is strong, lightweight, and easy to carry. It is perfect for anything you may need it for.

Same sturdy well built little boat and tote that you have always expected and in a very nice variety of colors. What I found particularlly helpful with this order, is that I have never been very good at relating measurements to actual size and have frequently ordered something too big for my needs. Now LL Bean has someone holding the bag in the preview which made it much easier to get exactly the size I needed......super.

Have purchased maybe 6 different boat totes for gifts at different times. LOVE them all & will order more.

I cannot tell you how many of these I have purchased--different sizes and styles, some for me and some for other people as gifts. They are so well made and hold up for years. I use them for everything. I like when they're new and stiff but you can wash them. They do shrink a little and become softer. I wouldn't hesitate for a second buying one of these. I used one as a gift for a new boater and filled it with all kinds of stuff, towels, plastic wine glasses and plates, etc. I had the name of the boat engraved on it and they loved it.

You can never go wrong with a boat & tote bag! You can never buy them too early for a young child, either! I ordered this one in dark pink early in October, using some coupons and taking advantage of a sale. I was told they were back ordered until early December so I felt lucky I ordered so early. Well it arrived on Halloween! My new granddaughter will receive it along with her personalized needlepoint stocking for Christmas. I will fill it with her gifts and we'll probably take a photo of her in it in her holiday finest as we did with her older brother. This well made bag will serve her well over the years, for toys now and for overnights later. Love the pink lettering and handles, a real keeper!

We love these...each member of our family has one with their name on it. We also have. 'Stuff', 'More Stuff', 'Toys' and 'More Toys.'

This was the sixth LLBean canvas tote that I have purchased for my family. We have all sizes and varied handle lengths depending on use. We usually have our last name monogrammed on the bag so that all of us get reminded that the particular tote is ours and that we will be reconnected with the bag after use. We even give these totes as presents - people love them! The quality is always excellent.

The extra-large bag worked out so well for carrying laundry up and down the stairs that I had to buy a second one. Great product!

I love these bags. These bags are my go to presents for friends with new babies. I add the monogram to the bag and it becomes a very special present. I love that they are made in America.

I would just like to say that this is the first thing I have ever purchased from L.L. Bean and I have not been disappointed. You can tell it is very well made from the stitching. Although I have had this bag for under 2 weeks, I have already used it to haul groceries and things that I needed to return. I opted to get the longer handles, as well. I know that the tote will last a very long time and I'm actually going to get another one, but in a smaller size. Please note that if you have your eye on the extra-large size, IT IS MASSIVE. I could fit about 3 toddlers in my tote, so take that into consideration when purchasing this item. These totes expand a lot bigger than you think, so it's excellent if you have kids or something. Just pay attention to sizing!

Love the tote but disappointed color options are no longer available

It was a gift for my daughter. It was supposed to be for Christmas. I ordered the first week of December, but it didn't come in until mid January. She loves it though!

I love how robust my tote bag is, but there were so many loose threads - whoever was responsible for QA was not doing their job. It looks tacky with all the loose threads

Perfect beach tote! It fits everything needed and it's super sturdy. Got mine personalized and while it was a tad off center, I understand these are hand sewn and really appreciate it!

Love the bag not the short handles. This bag is an everyday bag even for work.
