Love LL Bean Totes, they last for ever and hold up to tons of abuse. This is my 3rd one and nothing compares for quality and craftsmanship...the best.

LLB's canvas bags made in Maine are almost bullet-proof. However, the handle is uncomfortable for smaller hands to grab and carry the bag. Can the handle be made comfortable and durable? Also, if LLB can make "in Maine" bags with lighter washable material for groceries, I would buy them. Thanks!

I have been using this tote for 30 years: boat trips, ski trips, humping tools around. Like my Toyota truck, it will outlive me.

I had ordered the large boat and tote to use as my school bag. I had initially been undecided as whether to order the medium or the large based on dimensions. I decided on the large, thinking the medium may be too small. My bag arrived today, and while it is beautifully monogrammed and constructed, the dimensions listed for this bag are actually larger than stated on the descriptor. Large bag is listed as 17 inches wide by 15 inches high. The bag is actually 22 inches wide x 15 inches high. I really had hoped the dimensions on this bag were accurate. It's much larger than I expected.

This review is long-overdue. I bought 2 Medium, 1 Large and 1 Extra-large open tote and 2 Small open totes (1 long-handled). Later, I bought 1 Medium and 3 Small Zip-tops (2 were gifts). These totes are GREAT! On a trip out to Wyoming, our new van broke down, while towing our travel trailer. Because a part wasn't quickly available, we and our 2 big dogs had to leave every non-essential thing in Worland, Wyoming, and head home in a rental car (Worland has a lot of VERY nice, caring people). All those big LL Bean totes we carried in the trailer became our luggage. The bags stand up when you set them down so nothing falls out. I use the Large or Extra-Large for carrying other things: Christmas gifts, Potluck dishes or our coats, when we don't (or can't) check them. I grab the Medium totes for carrying choir books, music and other items. The small zip totes are always ready as purse replacements, the open ones for taking to the dentist or auto service dept with a book to read.

I use this boat tote every day for work , it`s easy , light and comfy to carry , just the right size for everything l need at work. love the color also.

My family loves, loves, loves these bags. We used them for pjs to grandmas, toys and beach towels when the kids were little. Now that they are grown, we take them for camping gear, game night, scout supplies, tools... you name it! These bags are RUGGED and are still in fantastic shape, despite years of use. Skip the onsies and buy one of these for your next baby shower gift or teacher gift! It's the gift that keeps giving for literally decades!

I had a tote years ago. Not sure whatever happened to it but I remember how handy it was. The extra large lives up to its name - its huge! But for a gym trip or anywhere, it can take anything you throw in it. I look forward to years of use with this one, too.

You can't get better quality. This is made of Iron. I could carry my grandson in this. I carry a computer and heavy books to school. This bag with the long handles works great and I know it will not tear under the strain.

I now own the LLBean Boat and Tote bag in each of the three sizes. My latest one, the small is perfect for my exercise classes, holds my essentials, my water bottle and even the weights required for one of the classes. I use the large one for the pool and Beach, plenty of room for towels, etc. and the medium for water aerobics, where I only need a smaller towel and accessories.

This is my "go to" gift for newborns. Babies grow out of those precious little clothes, but parents are always in need of something to pack their clothes and toys in to go see Grandmother! Love to have the bags monogrammed. Nice colors to choose from.

This is the second time I have ordered these for my husband. The first time was years and years ago. He wears these daily and finally, the red pair wore out. So, time for a new pair!

Ordered a medium canvas Boat Tote with monogram. When I received it the monogram was incorrect. I called customer service to make sure it wasn't my mistake, it wasn't. They were great! Sent me another one, expedited shipment at no charge to me. I love it! Perfect for taking my stuff to work.

I love these bags. I have a larger one that is over 20 years old. I am a knitter I bought this one for a bag for my sweater that I am working on when we go camping.

I have been using these bags in all sizes for more than 40 years and I still have my original although the handles have been repaired. I bought the medium size for my kids (30+ years ago) and now for my grandkids. They are great for overnights, heading to the beach or carrying stuff to daycare. They are study enough to carry more than 20 books when visiting the library and are the right size for little ones to be in charge of their own bag.

This has been my go-to wedding shower gift in XL because of its versatility, durability, and size. This bag is so well-built that it will last forever!

I have 3 of the large LLBean canvas totes -- love them! I love how they stand up open without flopping over. I wanted a smaller one to carry 'stuff' back and forth to work, i.e. papers, lunch items, etc. This was smaller than I thought it would be, but still the same quality of the big ones I have. Hopefully after using it a bit more, it will fit my needs.

I just ordered my first LL Bean tote and I'm over the moon impressed with the quality. I have never seen quality in a tote like this before. It is so heavy duty and I can't ever imagine it wearing out or tearing. I can't wait to use it at the beach this summer. I just received it in the mail this afternoon and I'm already obsessed. I think in going to pick up some more in different sizes and colours! These totes are incredibly simple and timeless and I am more than impressed with this ourchase. Thank you so much LL Bean. All the positive reviews don't even come close to seeing the quality in real life for yourself. Amazing!

I have had 2 of these for years and hauling lots of heavy groceries is a breeze. So many cashiers have replied they loved it stands on it's own and how much can go into it without fear of breaking like flimsy reusable bags. I don't have to deal with tons of plastic bags which are bad for the environment.

This is a well made durable tote that looks good too. I chose the pink for myself and I love it!

In preparation for a multi-day car trip I purchased two of these bags in the large size. I even got them embroidered for extra charm. There is a reason that these are an iconic L.L. Bean bag. They are so strong, well-made and durable. They were spacious enough to handle everything we needed for the dog trip and for our own collection of travel needs. They stood upright and stayed within reach while driving. I expect these to be part of our travel life for years and years to come.

The worker named Beth, did great workmanship with these bags. They will be enjoyed for a lifetime.
