I bought two of the tote bags as Christmas gifts for my two daughters, ordering a special monogram with the name of their new venture. The business name consisted of 11 characters which was one more than the recommended allowance. I called L.L.Bean and the staff were so helpful, working to create a "custom two line" monogram. The tote bags looked great and my girls were thrilled and report using them for multiple purposes; hauling books to the library as well as packing business items and flyers. Thanks L.L Bean.

I made this tote all mine. I did shoulder straps, camo print & my initials. I have had various llbean totes through the years and love the way they hold up and travel to the beach or abroad.

Great bag for everything that does not go in a cooler. Camping, boating and even packed one on our last trip to Mexico for a pool bag.

Very well made and strong enough to carry my new small puppy. He loves it and so do I. As usual LL Bean quality comes through.

I spilled soup all over the inside of my new tote. It washed beautifully. It's big enough for my needs, is well made, the material is nice and thick, and the tote stands up.......and I'd love another one in a different color!

I gave this bag to a friend's daughter who had just given birth. She loved the monogram tote and will use it to bring the baby's clothes, etc. for an overnight or to the beach. It is roomy and sturdy and attractive looking.

I love the medium with long handles as an everyday bag. I ended up buying the large as well!!

Many years ago, before my granddaughters were born, my husband ordered me a large tote for me to carry my teacher things back and forth to school. This holiday season, I decided to order two bags in the Hunter green medium and monogrammed with our granddaughters' names. The purpose was for the girls (age 5 and 10) to use them for their Irish dance lessons and competitions. Since I was so late in ordering, we could not get them in time for xmas so I printed out a picture of them from the monogram selection page and placed that in a gift box with the note saying that they should check their mail for another belated surprise. They got them for New Years and were delighted. . . just in time for their next feis! P.S. The seamstress for the team embroidered the dance slippers in Hunter green on each to make them even more "special"! Everyone was extremely pleased with the purchase and service! Thanks LL Bean! Who doesn't need and use a Bean bag?

I like the size, the sturdiness and color choices offered. The canvas fabric is excellent for a variety of occasions. I use it mainly for work and church. I would like to offer that it should have a pocket inside to hold small things like a lipstick and business cards. A zipper would be great, too.

We bought this extra large bag years ago and use it for just about everything; Skiing, Boating, over night trips or a day at the beach. It is the perfect size. We throw everything in and go! We just recently purchased 2 more extra-large bags for our daughters who have kids. They love it. No more carrying multiple bags, just throw everything into this one large bag.

Strong durable& holds alot for its small size

If you've never owned one of these bags, you must get one, but make sure you get the color and size you want because it will last you a lifetime! This one made a great monogrammed gift for someone, but I'm still using one I bought a long time ago and it's as good as new. High quality, sturdy construction and beautiful color selection.

Ever since a customer told me about these bags, I've been dying to get one. For a while I was hesitant on the price. My mom needed a strong tote with long handles for work, so I knew she'd love one of these. She does! These are so sturdy, water repellant, and strong! These could be used for anything, and I'm so happy she loves it.

Everyone must own an llbean tote of some size. This bag we leave by the door, fill it and go. LOVE.

These were a gift for a friend who had seen mine and liked them. I bought my first bag about 45 years ago . . . and it's still going strong !! Some of the stitching in the handles has worn away but that's it. And yes, I know I could return it to have it re-stitched or to get a new one, but I like to think it has just developed some character. At the grocery store the cashiers love these bags because they stand up and open by themselves and so they are easy to pack.I have three of these and love them. I also have another bag in size large. I do not use this for groceries because it becomes to heavy for me ( I'm 72 ) but I do use it for moving other lighter stuff around and occasionally as an overnight bag. These bags are strong, long lasting, an definitely worth the investment.

Great construction, color is true and sizes are just right. The canvas is easy to embroider on too!

I am very pleased with my Boat and Tote. The small size is perfect for shopping for a few things and for toting books. I have used it many times and find it comes in very handy.

I have owned a LL Bean tote for years and this Christmas bought each of my daughters their own monogrammed large totes, then stuffed them with all their other Christmas presents and goodies. The bags were beautifully stitched, very sturdily made of quality materials, and, best of all, made here in the USA. The monograms were beautifully done and just as I expected. My girls were each happy to receive their 1st LL Bean tote that they can use for a multitude of uses: going to the beach; carrying their workstuff to and from work; hauling home food from the grocery store; and any number of other uses.
