I rate this shoe a 3 because I know I would love it if only I could wear it. Too narrow. I ordered both men's and women's sizes. If only shoe manufacturers would realize there are some people with neutral feet, slightly aging so looking for a cushy feel while running lots of miles, who also need a wider shoe. A nice light shoe with cushion is a dream.

Really wanted to love these. Look cool and I like how lite the shoes are. Multiple runs in them and I cant wear these more than 3 miles without all sorts of knee and leg pain. For me they promote heel strikes, unless Im doing a sprint workout.

Wish the toe box was just a smidge roomier, otherwise, these are my go-to for 10k to half marathon distance training/racing shoe.

the tongue keeps sliding inside of the shoe very annoying , not much rebound when running like my other shoes but it is very light. Good for quick short runs less then 5K but would not wear for longer distances

The energy return in this shoe is great, there was no sinking feeling at all in my runs so far. The feels amazing at all runs except easy. The shoes wants to go fast or at least steady. The toe box is roomy and heel cup is snug. Also Im 62 220lbs and the shoes works for me

Shoe of the year so far. Its not soft but it isnt harsh (like the Hyperion Tempo is for me). Theres enough cushion to go the distance. In fact, its my default long run show (15-20). Currently using it as a daily trainer.

Fantastic ride. You glide at greater speed with the same effort you would put into slower shoes, and can therefore go greater distance or finish feeling fresh. Theyre cushioned but not squishy, have a nice bevel in the heel that encourages rocking forward and pushing off. On my foot shape, they are as comfortable as house slippers. For such highly engineered shoes, they disappear once I put them on and get on the road.

Honestly, it's too soon to rate. I really like the responsiveness, feel and fit so far. I'll know more in a hundred miles or so. Thank you.

This is the shoe I've been missing in my rotation. The long uptempo shoe. This shoe is perfect for days when you have to go long, but inject some speed. On the plan this morning was 20k, with 1k on and 1k float, went perfectly. This shoe has good speed with the rocker and fairly firm, but forgivable nitro infused midsole. Great for road running. Good wide toe box, great lockdown, no heel cup rub and a nice stable platform. I did not buy this shoe to race in, but, I might if the course had a lot of turns. The only things I would change is a bit more rubber to give it lasting power, I'm guessing 250 miles. And, the price point is a bit high for a non plated shoe. I think a lot of runners would like this shoe, you can cruise or pick up the pace to sub 5 minute mile. Nice job Brooks.

Nice shoe, good traction, a bit snug in the width when new. Hoping they break in and loses up.

I have been looking for lightweight and more cushioned shoes instead of my usual carbon-plated shoes for my upcoming marathon. And this shoe still provides speed and comfort.

Ran in these for the first time yesterday. I've used the Hyperion Tempo. These are an upgrade. I really like the light weight and the cushioning. The design features are cool. It felt good to run in them for the first time. Was worried about how the design would feel on my ankles because it's different than the Tempo, but there were no issues.

I love the shoe. Was running in the Hyperion Tempo. Probably have around 450 miles on that shoe. The Max does everything for me. Great for speed workouts, hill running, slower runs, etc. It is a fantastic shoe. I don't find it too firm. It is kind of in the middle between soft and firm. Keeps my legs fresh. It also feels light on my feet. Highly recommend the Max.
