The shoes I received were off color from each other--they must have been from two different dye lots. Other than that these are wonderful shoes, I have had them before in black and loved their comfort, fit and styling.

Cute loafer but the heel back comes up too high. It is very stiff & irritated my Achilles tendon. They're going back.

These shoes were a lot longer than any shoes I have purchased in my size. They seemed at least two sizes too long. I guess that's the style, but they made my feet look huge, almost like clown feet.

These shoes have very slippery soles. I have slipped on them many times. Walk on a damp parking lot and you will take a fall. I would not recommend to anyone.

Are these real trotters?
I have worn Trotters Ash for over 10 years if not more. I have one in every color, and have worn them out and bought new ones. These trotters have a different box, a different logo, are not as comfortable and these also make a loud noise when I walk (my other trotters never hurt and are the most comfortable shoe I ever had and have a soft landing without noise). Are you sure these are real Trotters or are they a look alike?

Don't really work for me -
I have wide feet and find it impossible to locate wide shoes. Appreciate Zappos wide selection. Perhaps I have not yet determined my exact size having tried 5 pair from Zappos. Order 7 EE but all fit differently. This pair wide in the heel and too narrow in the toe. Also annoying that innersole is glued to shoe. Normally able to slip out of shoes to insert own orthotics. Design not as sleek as I had hoped.
I'd also recommend:
I am very happy with a pair of David Tate lace ups that I ordered from Zappos. Have tried to reorder but out of stock .

These shoes are too tight in the toe area...=(
and I bought 2 pair in different colors...My little toe has suffered. I hope they eventually stretch out because I threw away all the paper work and boxes so I am not able to return them...plus I have already work both pair at least 1 time.

I own a black pair of these shoes that I really like. I ordered the same size and width in brown. They are significantly more narrow. I will return. This is the 2nd time this has happened with Trotters shoes. I will not purchase from Trotters again.

Disappointing to not have size be accurate. I get Trotters all the time from Maryland Square and it's accurate, but they were out of the shoe I really wanted and you had it. I thought it would be fine, but the size was just too tight.

I owned the shoes for quite a while, but I have had to put up with a pulling on the mocro fiber after about three months. It looks like a pull in a sweater, but to be honest, I have NEVER had that happen with shoes. I kept them because of there comfort, but am limited in wearing them because of their imperfections.

I had such hopes for this shoe, but alas, as with so many brands that claim a wider width, the shoe is made longer with some extra width added, but definitely not a EE. Thank you Zappos for allowing me to continue my search for the perfect wide shoe fit without getting penalized for returns! I love Zappos.

I wear 10.5 Slim, which normally in Trotters fit well. However, these shoes had gaps on each side near the elastic. Also, tops were wrinkled as if they had been worn some. I returned them and had to pay a hefty UPS fee. If I order Trotters in the future, it will be from a store which pays ALL shipping fees. (I have found no stores in my town which carries Trotters, so I must order on-line.)

I wore Trotters for 10 years. In 2011 they changed their manufacturer. The shoes are now crappy and cheap. A poor, stiff leather and now too narrow. They are shaped funny and will squeeze the life from your foot. Huge disappointment now that they are made in China!

These shoes are cute and comfy; however, 2 months of work and they fell apart! Heel fell off and no tread left. I do work for an airline but have never had a shoe do this.

All I can say is this shoe runs very narrow. I am a basic 8 1\/2 medium width, which is what I ordered, and couldn\'t get my foot into these. Oh well, plenty more to pick from! Zappos is fantastic, I am a frequent shopper!

Good basic shoe -
This shoe is a good basic shoe - I wear with jeans and casual pants when I am out doing errands and don't need to look fancy. The leather is nice quality. So far I've only worn them a few times and have not had any problems. A little older looking, but glad I got them.
