The leather wraps around to the inside of the shoe and hurt my little toes. Otherwise, I would have kept the shoes.

I absolutely loved my other pair of Ash (probably purchased many years ago), but like most shoes, eventually they change. I did not like the heel on this one and it ran much narrower than my previous pair. I always say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Wasn't that pleased with the style. Kind of frumpy looking. Also felt tight and narrow.

Great shoe to wear to the office. But I am looking for a nice dressy walking shoe. This did not meet my criteria

Don't look too hard at the number of stars I gave here. I have weird, hard-to-fit feet - I typically wear a 10W, sometimes needing to go up to an 11, or a 10.5 if available. I tried these in two different sizes, 10W and 11W, and neither one really worked. The 10W felt really hard on my heel and every step hurt (even just trying on out of the box), and the 11W was way too big and slid off my heel, but felt good everywhere else. I didn't mind too much because, while I'm a 33 year old who tends to wear older shoes (never could do the strappy heel thing), these were too old-lady for me. They would have looked alright with pants, but with a skirt or dress I would have felt a little embarrassed. Just not my style, but I think if you have more normal feet you would do well with these - I could tell they were well-made and, if they had fit, would have been very comfy.

Disappointed in this shoe! These are truly "granny shoes" and they make your feet look much longer than usual. I felt like these were "witch shoes" for Halloween. Obviously I am sending them back. They have a LONG toe box - way too long for the sizing (I wear 7 1/2 or 8 and my feet looked like boats).

I ordered 6.5WW and they are very long, a half inch longer than my other shoes. It looks my feet big and gives open spaces at toes. I ordered another pair of half inch smaller size to see if it will fit better. Also, WW seems not so wide, it is about the same width as W of other shoes I have.

They look nice, and the materials look good. Without socks, the materials do not feel very comfortable. I normally wear 6 or 5.5 wide, and the 6w that I got were way too big to wear without socks. My feet no longer slip out when I wear with thick socks, but now the shoes are too tight around my toes.

I bought these to replace a worn-out pair of serviceable, nondescript yet cute Walking Cradles that no longer are available for purchase. These have a squarer toe, but are very similar. I expected them to be fine, and tossed the box and mailing box. They squeaked the first half of the first day, but that went away. They feel slightly narrow, but this is also something that I expect to pass. However it is that weird square toe, and square heel. Sitting here tonight with my spouse, saying to him I did not really like them,he replied, "Oh, you mean your new Puritan shoes? They would be good for a Pilgrim." Spot on. Too bad that I have worn them all day. I cannot send them back. Maybe I will forget to change into my boots this winter and they will get ruined. Hope springs eternal. There is not anything wrong with these shoes other than I just do not like them, but I have to own go to work black low heeled leather shoes that look pretty much like these. Dang square toe. I suppose Zappos would take them back, since they are amazing, but that would not be right of me. I have worn them all day, including outside. It is my fault for not looking critically enough when I first unpacked them and tried them on. They will do. But I do not like them.

These run at least a half size too big. I always wear size 8, but in these I would have needed a 7.5. So I'm returning them but not sure that I'll try the different size- I liked but didn't love them.

I've had these shoes for about two years now. Why I didn't return them right away, I don't know. Because I thought they'd soften up, maybe? Anyway, they look really nice. But after wearing them all day, my feet feel like they've been pummeled. They're a bit too narrow for me, and they make the big joint at the ball of my foot hurt. I've finally decided I can't wear them anymore. Two years of suffering is more than enough. If you've got narrow feet, go for it. As I say, they're great-looking shoes. They look good with jeans or dress pants. Very stylish.

I have these shoes in black & brown. Fit is perfect for narrow feet & they look great with slacks. I wanted navy for jeans but the color was not true navy at all. It was much lighter with a gray/green cast...odd color. Very unusual for Trotters, since they are high quality leather shoes. Would have given them 5 stars except for the weird color. Regretfully had to return them.

Shoes take awhile to break in but are okay once broken in. Only shoes I can find that will work with my uniform. Also like gussett on upper part for comfort.

I have been wearing this shoe for years, but the newest pair with the rubberized sole has worn out exceptionally fast. I am disappointed in the rubberized sole.

Liked the style okay but they appear narrow and long and make my foot look long. I found these incredibly tight in length and width and the tow box was low so that the shoe was hitting my toes. 3 stars for the lousy fit and not even close to true size for me. I couldn't even walk a little bit around the house in them so I have no idea how the arch is. Back they went. Thanks for making that so easy Zappos!

These shoes were much too small. I couldn't even get my feet into them. I liked how they looked and they seemed like they would be comfortable but I had to send them back.

I ordered a size 6M, which is my normal shoe size. I could not get my foot into them! I ordered a 6.5M and they seem to fit fine. I have not worn them yet, so I don't know how comfortable they are, but they look good on. Great shoe for the office! Zappos is great!

I have arthritis in my foot and these shoes are comfortable yet nice enough for the office. I am disappointed that the leather already has holes in it on the toe of each shoe, especially given the price.

Love the shoe but hate the leather. An off-navy that feels thin in the front. I might have kept it if the material was different, but I needed a navy shoe.

These were cuter than I expected, they'd be great with slacks. Unfortunately, the back came up too high on my Achillles tendon, very uncomfortable. They're going back.

I really wanted these to fit, but they were painfully tight on my narrow feet. I tried to order the next width up but was unhappy with the color selection. Trotters are comfortable when they fit but I have had some styles be too narrow and others too wide in the same size and width.

Probably an anomaly... Purchased these shoes given the great reviews that were posted. The right shoe seems defective and the left was fine. I wore them off and on over two weeks while traveling and could not wear them over an hour. I will be returning them though I don't expect a refund.

These shoes look really sharp but I'm having a problem keeping them on my heels. I have put in innersoles as they stretch but still feel like they are slipping in the heel so I wear them when I don't have to walk too far.

I have a narrow foot, but these were still too narrow -- particularly in the toe. May be due to the flat toe style. Too bad - quite stylish and nice construction.

I wear a 7.5 N, but even the 8 N was too tight across the toes. The arch and ankle fit well. Too bad, I like the style and micro fiber.
