I have had several pairs of Gel Kayanos - primarily 19s and 23s but it finally reached the point where I couldn't get the older models in my size (womens UK 10/EU 44.5) so I had to get the latest ones. The fit is not as good for me - there is space down the side of my heel that wasn't there in previous models so I have to use the odd extra lace hole to stop heel slip. I always seem to have to retie the right shoe - I just can't get it tight enough first time. There is also an annoying fold/dip on either side of the toe which shows the break between 2 more rigid bits under the surface - not a functional issue but it looks odd.
They are absolutely fine for running once I get the lacing right - I just wish they were as brilliant as the 23s for look and fit.

This style, gel kayano, was recommended by my orthopedic podiatrist (along with an aircast brace) to correct for pronation that was causing ankle pain and swelling. The footbed cushioning is excellent, and the internal structure seems to keep my ankles in better alignment than my previous trail running shoes. The tread is too smooth for muddy hiking paths but I’ve managed so far. The laces are too short for with the brace, but also easily replaceable. Overall comfort is excellent, fit is true for me in a women’s 12. I’m mostly speed walking but finding the gel is excellent at impact absorption on pavement and packed dirt trails.

4.5 star, love the color, feel and comfort. It's a well made shoes. I am a nurse and my feet felt pretty good all night a 12 hours shift. The reason I didn't give 5 stars because when I purchase it didn't come in wide. It still felt fine though.

Excellent as always from a performance and looks point of view. I had a reconstructed ACL, having run marathons before in my Kayanos. Getting back into jogging was uncomfortable with my other non-aasics runners but these let me go the distance with a good bit more stabilisation and cushioning. My only knock on these are that 2 artificial creases are created in the fabric of the toe box which fold in on my toes when I walk and look odd, but don't bother me when I run. I have worn the same size for years so it is not a sizing issue for me, probably just a slight flaw in the shoe manufacture but overall, I still swear by my Aasics Kayanos. Been a fan since thee Gel Kayano 15 derivation and I always go back. Great shoe.

Very comfortable my only issue is I didn't realise they're entirely Mesh on the front of the foot. I hoped they be more water resistant and I bought them online. But very good arch support as I have fallen arches

Much improved over the Kayano 26 iteration! Great cushion and arch support both. The toe box is wide--almost too wide but very generous for custom orthotics. Color is outstanding.

Very comfortable and supportive. I have narrow feet and the medium width fits well in the heel and arch. It has nice padding for my bony feet. The toe area is very roomy and probably more than I need width wise but not a problem. Ordered half size larger than I normally wear.

Asics Gel-Kayano 27 is a decent looking, comfortable, and reasonably supportive sneaker offering stability, but the pair I received had a defect -- the toe box of one shoe was puckered and sort of crushed,so I had to return them.

This shoe feels a half-size small and is slightly narrow. I went up a half size and it seems to be fine. I haven’t worn these yet. GEL-Kayanos really help with my plantar fasciitis and pronation. It’s worth finding a pair that fits. Zappos’ excellent customer service, fast shipping and return policy make it easy.

I’ve been running in Kayanos for almost 15 years. My feet love them! This pair...not so much. The toe box on these runs very narrow. I have pretty narrow feet, but am still developing a very serious and painful callus on my right big toe. It’s the worst. The 26’s were great. I wish you could be guaranteed that every new model would take care of your feet as well as it’s predecessor! Here’s to hoping the next version is a better fit!
