The absolute best business casual walking shoes. There are comfortable and supportive shoes and then there are the SAS Diplomats - these are on a different level. They are superbly comfortable and they form fit to your foot and walking style/pattern like no other shoe I've ever owned. I was under the impression that SAS were only for my Dad but these work great for a young business professional too. They are great for business casual but a bit too clunky for a suit in my opinion. I'm a fan of quality footwear and other favorite brands of mine are Allen Edmonds, Alden, Bally, Cole Haan, Red Wing and Wolverine 1000 mile boots. These SAS shoes are built to last and made in the USA of top quality materials. I go on a 2 mile walk over lunchtime and these shoes are so supportive and comfortable, I now choose to wear these over sneakers or any other footwear. Go ahead and buy these, you'll be happy you did. I have them in black and brown and both are made from a rich quality leather. Don't forget to use the included shoe horn and always use quality shoe trees to keep them fresh and in tip top shape. As always, Zappos delivers with the best service of any modern business in the world.

My husband is a commercial airline pilot. These are the perfect shoes for a man who needs stylish and practical shoes. He also wears them on his off days. He had intense foot pain for a year but that pain went away a few months after he began wearing SAS shoes. I bought the first pair in secret because he scoffed at the price. After wearing them for a year he now comes to me and asks me to order him a new pair when he is due. We are now lifelong customers.

My foot is EXTRA wide. The Double Wide SAS Diplomat slip on is wonderfully comfortable on me and my old tooties, that are mighty darn particular these days and don't put up with shoes that rub them the wrong way. Nice smooth lining, wide sole with lots of toe room. I did a full day the first day I wore them (break in? nah) and they were comfortable on my feet and did not ever give me the urge to kick them off.

My husband always had a hard time finding shoes that fit properly. Our foot doctor suggested SAS shoes and was he right. Fits well, very comfortable and long lasting. I also have switched to SAS and wouldn't wear anything else.

I have bought SAS shoes for years and have always found each pair to have immediate comfort. Not the case with these Diplomats. They are really uncomfortable from the outset. I will continue to break them in, but it's like torture. By the way, the size is correct.

Seemed comfortable at first, but after a while began to rub the knuckle of the third toe on both feet, like the toe box is not deep enough or the shoes are too stiff. It's a shame, the shoes look good and the reviews made it seem like they would be comfortable, but I can't afford to spend this amount of money on uncimfotable shoes. I'm returning these.

Great look, premium packaging and a needed shoe horn! But I bought SAS Diplomat because they were supposed to be the most comfortable shoe and these were not. I tried both the wide and double wide 8.5 us and the top of the shoe was too tight with a little heel slippage (8.5 W) or ok at the top but with a lot of heel slippage (8.5 WW). I give Skechers Bronwood a 10 on comfort and 5 on looks (too casual). I give these at 10 on look and and 5 on comfort.

I have one pair that won't die - well over 10 years old. I'm getting a second. With numerous foot issues, I have tried many dollars worth of different types of shoes. These have simple but decent style to wear for professional / dress or casual dress and they are THE most comfortable shoes I've had without a doubt. Excellent quality. Bravo SAS!

I have a wide foot and a high instep so to find a slip on that offers a wide width is great. I wore the shoe for a few days in my home first to help stretch it out. I’m wearing it this week on the road, and I’m find them very comfortable.

These are great shoes, they fit well and are good quality. I also like that I can get them re-soled for a decent price.

Bought a pair at Hawley Lane Shoes over 10 years ago and they have been my favorite dress shoes for years! These shoes have seen a lot of wear over the years with 100's of miles on them used by a big person. Just recently, part of my heel fell out and they're looking a bit worn, so it was time to replace them. As a result, I bought the exact same pair again (11W)! They fit like a glove and don't feel like a dress shoe (a good thing). My only comment is, I have to take them off for TSA check as there must be metal in the heel (which is probably why they've held up after all this time).

Great shoe. Hard to find shoes that are of this quality and that fit width-wise perfectly. Love the quality!

I bought my first pair of Diplomats after having almost worn out a pair of older vented similar less expensive SAS slip-ons. I had worn that first pair for about five years before the uppers began to look bad and I wore them another two years working around inside my yard at home before they started coming apart. Considering what I had exposed them to, I wanted another pair and bought the more expensive Diplomat in 2011 or 2012. I wore the Diplomats over this period of years only as dress shoes until about 2018. They still looked good inside and out but had accumulated a few scratches and creases over the years, so I started wearing them as daily shoes around the house and while doing chores in the yard. They are still comfortable and serviceable and are good work shoes for around my home now in 2025. I like them so well, and they rival my best Red Wing work shoes for wear, I decided to buy a new pair for dress this month. With proper shoe care these shoes just last and last. They are all leather lined, soft, and great for my diabetic foot problems.

Daily shoes for me. This is the 2nd pair. The first pair lasted 6 years, and they're still good, just the heel is a little worn. Highly recommend.

The shoe is both comfortable and durable. It has lasted me many years with no problems. I have this in brown. I fix leather cuff spots using Redwing boot polish in dusky brown.

I use orthotic inserts so I throw the insert away that comes in the shoe and put my orthotic in there and my feet feel better in the shoes then they do barefooted. It's unusual to have a shoe that feels better to put it on then to to take it off

I have several pairs of SAS shoes. I have flat feet, and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I know they are expensive, but they are worth every penny.
