The waterproof tongue creates a pressure point on the inside of the (top) ankle. I tried to move it around, but could not find an arrangement that was not painful. I expect if the tongue side material was thinner, this would not have been a deal breaker.

I only purchased a half size bigger since I purchased the slip on safety shoes and they were a little tight..

bought them at a local store. i am a 10.5 and i had to much room in the front. i wear "thin" socks most of the time. the width is fine. didn't notice it until i went to work with them.

Pretty good quality. Comfy. Fit my size. I just don't like the color that it seems a little darker than what I expected. I am still waiting to see how the waterproof quality but overall it's a nice pair of shoes.

These boots seem to be well made. I am used to work boots being heavy but these seem heavier than I'm used to. Also, the break in period is a bit rough. The back of my foot/lower calf is bruised and I have a blister. Hopefully when they soften up they will become more comfortable.

These boots are great, but it's going to take some time breaking them in. They're very stiff, but that's common with new boots. Excellent build and durable construction.

I have read nothing but good reviews about this boot so after the boot that I had for three years started to finally wear to where I needed to buy a new pair, I chose the boondocks. The first thing I noticed were the eyelets, there were just was not enough and when tying the laces they would not stay, they kept coming loose, not the knot but when I tightened them. The boot string that came with the boots were incredibly long. I didn't have confidence about the insoles and I was right, they were uncomfortable so I purchased the insoles I use and it made it better. The most annoying part of the boot was the outside soles, the tread design is horrible. I've been picking rocks out of them every where I step! It's been SO annoying I've have to go back to my old Timberland Pros from now and again just to avoid that. I wish those were still available for purchase, my old pros were discontinued, I guess they last too long? I'll purchase a different Timberland Pros boot next time, it's all I wear for work. I work for a natural gas company and I've had these boondocks boot for a year.

The original boondock boots are lighter and more comfortable. Went ahead and purchased another pair of those. I'll keep trying to break them but my toes hurt after awhile.

These boots when I gotten them were extra wide , but made my feet breath well. They are comfortable, but the issue I had , the tread had started to peel off the sole. Timberland helped out with good coverage on the warranty. I'm going to get the tall ones in non wide and see how they hold up.

These were some of the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn. While their length seemed correct, somehow my foot still slipped back and forth with every step, which would almost certainly lead to blisters over time. Also the top of the boot bit in to my leg. I tried loosening the top, twice, and it still did, so it's not like I tied it too tightly. I like that the hooks at the top of boot could be used as hooks or laced through, but was a little surprised that there's nothing on the hooks to lock the laces in place. I have other (less expensive) boots where the laces snap into the hooks and don't move, so you can have one section tight and the next loose without the laces slipping and it all averaging out. Also, I know Zappos lists the weight, but I didn't realize how heavy these would feel. I might have gotten used to it eventually, but I'm not even going to try given how incredibly uncomfortable these were.

This boot have all that I need and love from style to material and the comfort but please, please, please make an option for people with narrow feet, this boot doesn't matter what size is extremely wide also the the regular Boondocks,

I have had several pair the boondocks boots in the past and loved them. This was the 1st pair of HD's, I have to say they have been a bear to break in. They run had at the top of the back support pice to the point I was bleeding in a very short period with long socks on! I ended up rolling the top part of the boot over and leaving them that way for a week. Now they. Are pretty good. All the boondocks boots I have bought in the past never had any issue at all. They felt great right out of the box. Granted these boots are built like tank! They are just a little tough to break in right away. Like the fit of the regular boondocks better.

best fitting boots I have owned, I wish they lasted longer, the soles fell apart with good treads still on it after 2 years, the rest of the boots are in great shape.

Look great and are pretty comfortable, but the bottom of both boots starting falling apart on the 3rd day of wearing them. Haven't found a glue that will hold them together. Huge hassle to return.

These are good looking boots, and comfortable except for the fact that they rubbed my ankles raw and they'rea bit heavy. I've been having a hard time finding safety toe boots with enough toe room so I'm pretty disappointed. Hopefully I'll be able to return these without too much of a hassle, if not it will be fourth pair of boots I've given away this year.

It works well with my job as a construction worker. It felt like the product was used by someone else cause it had footprints printed in the shoe. It didn't feel brand new.

Commercial electrician from Baltimore here. I've been a fan of the regular boondock boots for years and decided to give these a try. Big mistake. They took forever to break in and as soon as they were the soles started falling apart. Definitely had to take advantage of the 12 mo. warranty. Warranty claim process was fast and simple so 5 stars on that.

Exospine makes back of the boot uncomfortable if you are up and down alot. It puts pressure on the tendon above the heel and can't wait to take them off end of the workday. Loved the original boondocks and thought I would try these. Nice looking boot otherwise.
