Ordered for Christmas for husband. He wears a sz 8 - 81/2 in shoes or boots. The quality of the shoe is excellent in craftsmanship and style, but runs long. They may fit with a pair of socks but he never wears socks with this style of shoe. Going to order a sz 7 and hope it's not too short.

The lining wore out very quickly. Exchanged. Will see how new ones last Otherwise, great slippers.

Comfortable and cozy on winter mornings-especially since we have tile floors in AZ!

I'll echo what others have said. These slippers look good, feel good, and are built to last FOREVER except for the flannel lining, which is built to last maybe six months. I wear mine ALL THE TIME and frequently outdoors, and after 10 years (YEARS!) they're nearly good as new original laces, leather uppers perfect, sole barely worn. I mean seriously. Built like tanks. But the flannel lining, not so much. It was wearing through within months and has long been mostly gone, which means the insides are not as comfortable (or nice looking) as they once were. And I have very dry feet. I wear them anyway because they're so handy and rugged, but yeah, the lining is definitely a (very) weak point.

I had to order a size too long in order to get my wide feet into them. The older pair I have been wearing for 5-8 years was just right, but these are made for people with stick feet. Other than the narrowness, I really like them. Comfortable and not too hot,

Overall, a nice slipper. I would give it five stars except for one annoyance! The leather laces keep coming untied. I have to retie them several times while wearing. Other moccasin type slippers that I had never came untied.

On my third pair now - just keep wearing them out. Two main issues that would make them perfect - more durability on the liner and the biggest thing that would make a difference - stitch the laces to stay tied permanently. They really do nothing to alter the size and are just a nuisance since they continuously come untied. Do that and it's a home run.

I don't like the flannel lining. I wish I had purchased the ones without it, but they do cost a lot more.

These slippers are by far the best I have ever owned. They fit is great and they break in nicely. They're able to go in the driveway without any issues. However, I've seen many reviews that the flannel lining wears away quickly which I assume will happen. I hope L.L. Bean addresses this. If so, they'll have the best slipper out there hands down. I would still highly recommend buying!

I'm happy with the purchase. Great lining with a decent molded sole (if you stay off coarse gravel). But there are issues if you have a wide foot... Sadly slipper mfrs don't think people with wide feet want wide slippers. So I bought 1 size longer to gain a little width which helped. Still a little too narrow but my boot stretcher will customize the rest. This width issue is not unique: wide slippers are a rare offering. So I would recommend this to a friend that has a "standard" foot, but someone with a wide foot not accustomed to customizing the fit may be disappointed.

The very well made slipper is comfortable and sturdy. Great aruond the house or for stepping outside to get the morning paper. Like most slippers it is not possible to pull the rawhide lace tight to get a tighter fit. Overall, they are well worth the cost and should last a long time.

I must have gone through ten pairs of these over the years. Only four stars because inevitably, the inner flannel lining wears through long before the outer crepe sole. It would be nice if they could upgrade the quality of the lining a bit.The pair I have on right now has almost imperceptible wear on the sole but both linings are completely worn through I have long narrow feet and they fit fine, so I suspect for many they will run narrow and you may want to go up a size. They are snug for the first week of so and then loosen up about a half size.

2nd pair. Work from home so wear them all day. Would be nice if the flannel lining lasted longer.

I have had these for a few years and the flannel does not hold up. I used fabric glue to fix the heels with some new cotton cloth. I just wish I could get new soles on them like the Bean boot.Wife got me a new pair at Christmas but have not worn them yet, like the old feel.

Excellent: long lasting and comfortable. I use it all day inside, and walking down to the street for newspaper and mail. Flannel lining is good, warm in winter, and yet fine in the summer. The one weakness, which it keeps it from a 5 star rating: the leather shoe laces are hard to keep tied, even with a a double knot. If that were improved, it would be a full 5 star. I reorder few years, even with the shoe lace problem.

This is a real winner for the price. I'm wearing a pair and have two pairs in reserve. Which brings up the one problem. The lining wears out long before anything else on these slippers. LLB used to carry this with the wool lining but don't anymore. They certainly wore longer but I personally experienced electrostatic discharge virtually every time I wore them. The flannel fixes that. If LLB can find a sturdier flannel lining then I would rate these as the best slippers on the market for the price. Over the years I've purchased other LLB slippers that were more costly but they really were no better than these.

I've had 2-3 pairs of these slippers. And I've given them to relatives. If it weren't for the fragile lining, one pair would have lasted me. I like the fit, and I like the crepe rubber sole for the occasional walk down to the corner to pick up the mail. but the flannel lining doesn't hold up, and eventually it wears down to the backing which isn't very comfortable. Put a leather lining in these shoes , raise the price a few bucks, and they will be perfect!

My husband is quite happy to have his new LLBean slippers. His previous pair lasted for a number of years; I hope he gets as many our of these. I prefer the previous color better; it was more or a cordovan rather than the current darker brown, but he's ok with the new color.

The shoes were of superior quality & materials, but the medium was too tight & I had to return them. Had they come in a wider size I would have exchanged them, but alas they only come in med width.

My husband wanted a new pair of bedroom shoes and we saw these on the LL Bean website. I ordered the shoes and received them when notified they would be delivered. When my husband tried them on they were about a half size too long. We had ordered this size thinking that would help with the width issue. My husband needs a wider width than what was available for this style. I returned the shoes for a size smaller and still have to use the D width. Hoping to receive the replacement in the next 1-2 weeks. I can't really give a good review until he gets the new pair.

As with the elk slippers I also just bought, the sole marked up our wood floors. I finally replaced both pairs with my original double leather soled moccs. Should have known better. Got slippers. CL
