I'm very disappointed with these boots. My wife bought me these for Christmas and I loved how they looked and fit. After about 4 wears the sole started separating from the boot. I called customer service as well as the store and since we did an in store pickup there is no order history on the website. I did not keep the receipt as I expect LLBean to be very good quality. Long story short I now have a defective boot and am unable to exchange it for a new boot. I would not recommend these boots or doing in store pickup. Very disappointed in what used to be a great company with outstanding customer service.

The quality was fine but the fit didn't work for me. I have narrow feet and when I walked in these my feet slid forward and the heel was loose. It was uncomfortable. I don't know if a break in period would have helped because I sent them back. I probably could have tried a half size smaller, but didn't want to get into shipping back and forth. I could recommend them if the fit was right.

I do not like waterproof leather because of the stiffness. A much better solution to waterproofing a boot is to use a waterproof bootie like Goretex. Then the leather can be lightly waterproofed with a cream or wax.

Style is great. Comfort is great. Tread? The manufacturer should be embarrassed. When I bought them a couple years ago I did see someone point this out but figured it couldn't be that bad. If you look at the tread in the picture provided, the white parts is basically some sort of cheap foam. The tread on the white part wore off within months and created a slippery boot. The light brown part around the edge lasted longer but the top half is nearly gone 2 years in. I wear them in fall, winter, spring. Not working. Just casual. Not heavy use by any means. For the price, I expected more. I wanted to toss them after the white foam rendered them basically useless but it was too much money to not just deal with it. I have now tossed them after almost slipping and falling multiple times this winter.

I've owned these boots for four months now and they are terrible in comparison to other similar moc toe boots I've owned. The sole is separating from the midsole and the cushioning is minimal. I have no clue how there are so many good reviews on this boot other than maybe they were changed from a previous version.

Chafes painfully on one ankle. After many days I'm still hoping it will break in so I don't end up limping home. Frustrating because apart from that it is a very good fit, although cold from city sidewalks comes up through the soles in mid-twenties temperatures.

I haven't had these for very long so I can't speak on how well they hold up. If you are looking for footwear that is constructed like a boot these are not it. If you are looking for a warm, comfortable sneaker to wear in the winter then these are ok. I think the price is high for what you are getting. I would probably give these 4 stars if they were $60

Comfy boots however bottom tread didn't last long at all. Only had them for a few months and it's wearing down way faster then last pair.

I'm choosing my words carefully as I am a huge, longtime fan of LL Bean. Boots - especially - are unquestionably the symbol of your company. I have always expected and received top notch products with exceptional workmanship. This pair of boots did not meet expectations as the stitching is coming apart at the back. I brought them in to our local store and spoke to a manager. She was apologetic and kindly explained that we were one week past the one year return window. I did understand that and realize that there was nothing she could offer but thought she should see my concern in person. I trust reviews posted here so am adding mine on this boot. I don't feel that they are representative of the LLBean quality and workmanship of old. Will probably try another vendor for our next boot.

Love how the look, love how they feel. Hate that within two weeks the soles separated from the boot. I've glued them about ten times, contacted customer service numerous times. I'm currently looking for a similarly styled boot just not sold by llbean. Very disappointing. Not a quality boot.

May be just fine for some folks, but I found the boot to be stiff and uncomfortable. Not Bean's usual quality product. I returned them.

I ordered the light tan colored leather version of this boot and immediately loved how lightweight they are. Everything about them seemed well crafted. I ordered a replacement silver/white set of boot laces that really make them look great. I would have rated these as a five star purchase, but the rubber tread has separated from the softer foam-type material of the sole at the toe of the boot and it continues to get worse. They are only a few months old and I don't wear them daily, so I'm very disappointed with the low quality of the material and design of the soles. No need to supply a photo as I've seen others uploaded with the same complaint.

The build quality seemed great but the boot's design put a couple of very tight spots of pressure at the places where the tongue and upper join across the top of the foot. It wasn't too narrow except for those two spots but it was enough to be exceedingly uncomfortable. I returned immediately.

These were falling apart within two weeks of use. And I had to pay to send the shoddy product back. I will not buy another product from LL Bean.

I bought these for my husband in black. They were incredibly cool looking but after he work them once he experienced incredible pain in the ball of his left foot. We've bought several pair of ll bean boots but this one didn't hit the quality bar for us unfortunately. I'm going to work with customer service to address and I know they will take care of us.

I don't understand how these boots have such high ratings from others. These boots are incredibly stiff and have absolutely zero cushioning. Unwearable, if you ask me. Returned immediately after receiving them.

Thread broke on top of boot and split a few months after purchase. Just used to work in my yard. Not robust construction at all. Definitely would not buy for a construction job.

They posted an add for a 50% off sale for this product and it is not available in 99% of the expected sizes.

Comfortable but absolutely zero grip. First day I wore them my foot slipped off the brake pedal and onto the accelerator. Rear-ended the car in front of me.

The stitching came apart and the soul ripped off on one of the toes within 8 months of purchase. Casual wear and not rugged work wear. Quality has come down.

Style is great quality is very poor. I am on my second pair within 1 year. Stitching on both pairs pulled apart. Casually worn. Unfortunately quality is not what it use to be.

I bought these boots and after 18 months of average seasonal use, the bottom separated . I called and was told that the shoe has a one year guarantee only. This was the only time i ever called in 20 years ! Can no longer count on quality of L.L Bean quality!

I have had these for about 9 month and the stitching split open on the left shoe where the apron and upper come together. Not real hard use either. Disappointing. NOT recommended.

Ordered my normal size, 8.5. Could fit two fingers between my heel and the back of the boot. Not happy that I had to pay for return shipping. Four decades of customer loyalty vaporized, last purchase.
