I'm kind of a boot snob, so when I tried these I was very pleasantly surprised. First of all impressed by the look of them, and light as a feather! They fit great and so far have been the most comfortable hikers I've ever worn. I find myself actually breaking in to a run on the trail, they feel like a pair of trainers over the hill and dale. I actually bought a 2nd pair, in a half size smaller, to wear in warmer weather with lighter socks. I'd recommend these to anyone who won't sacrifice function over form.

This is the first pair of boots that I did not have to break in. They were a great fit right out of the box and very comfortable. They are well made and I can't wait to see how long they will last.

These boots are great. Comfortable like a running shoe, but warm enough to stand up to snow and cold weather. I normally wear and bought a size 11, but probably could have gone a half size smaller.

These are easily the best wok boots I have ever worn! They are light, durable and unbelievably comfortable. This is actually my second pair and I will buy more in the future.

These boots have a very high quality feel to them as you'd expect from LL bean. I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on and there was just enough wiggle room inside for my arthritic big toes. They look great too!

Love these Boots. Will be my everyday casual boots. I will probably get one more for my dad.

Great leather on this boot. Initial fit was really comfortable and after a day wearing them they seemed to form fit. Sole is great too. Not too heavy and have a good form for easy walking. Typical Bean high quality!

After breaking them in walking around the house for a few days, I wore them outside in the snow and was most pleased at their durability, water-proof, and stability. I am pleased that I bought them.

My favorite and most comfortable shoe is Bean's Alpine hiking boot--I can wear them all day. But they have a hiking, or lug, sole and track in dirt. I was looking for a comfortable ankle-high boot with a smoother sole and found the Stonington Moc-toe. I wear an orthotic, so the removable insole is a must. I had no problem with the padded collar and appreciate the pull-on loop on the back seam. I will be using saddle soap to keep the boot clean (if you think the collar is stiff saddle soap can help). It will darken the wheat color I selected. When the pandemic is done I will be in the classroom wearing the Stonington boot. It's a new take on business casual. I have been wearing them for a month.

Best boots I have ever worn. They are light, warm, and stay dry. I have trouble finding boots due to major foot problems. I wear these ALL day without any pain or distress.

Got these for my husband who normally wears a size 12US. I followed the other reviews and ordered a 1/2 size smaller which fit him perfectly. Definitely order 1/2 size down. He said they didn't need any breaking in and provided good arch support. He is really particular about his footwear as he is on his feet all day. If the price is a bit high for you and you're in the fence, buy them you won't regret it.

I ordered a pair of size 8 boots in the Wheat color and the size was just right. Right out of the box the boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They were so comfortable that I ordered a second pair in the Dark Cocoa color but was disappointed. The leather on the Dark Cocoa was quite stiff as opposed to the Wheat boots being very soft and flexible. The Dark Cocoa boots also seemed slightly smaller. As I mentioned, the Wheat boots were true to size and I can wear them with a medium weight sock or even the LL Bean cotton rag socks. However, the Dark Cocoa boots were too small when I tried them on with the cotton rag socks. I suspect that the Dark Cocoa leather may soften after wear; others have said that they stretch after repeated wearing but they were just a little small and stiff for me. I also tried a pair of the Dark Cocoa Stonington Shoes and the leather was also stiff and the size was a bit too small. But I can't say enough about the Wheat boots; perfect fit and very comfortable.

These boot are great! They seem to be very comfortable and of course really warm. It's been a mild winter so far so I have yet to put them through the paces. One small issue I seem to have is the laces do not like to stay tied for me. Otherwise really nice quality boot.

I bought these as a gift for my husband- good for occasional outdoor work, camping, also so stylish just wearing with jeans. He loves them!

I typically wear a Men's 6.5. Had to order a 5.5. Great boot. Fits snug. Keeps feet warm. Looks great.

They're still new. Only worn a couple of times. Boots are very light and I think they need a little more wear to be comfortable. I don't recall if they were advertised as water proof. I used mink oil on them.

These boots are Perfect, confortable , firm footing Secure fit. Warm .

I spend a lot of time in the woods. I wore these in town for a few miles to break them in but it wasn't necessary. First 4 or 5 mills in the woods, and not a single complaint about them.
