This tote was not the 1st choice, but the gift is the color that was the best choice. The recipient was very happy.

My tote came earlier than I was expecting which was great. It was my Christmas gift to myself. I'm going to use it for my summer bag.

Great bag for traveling vacstoon & grocery shopping strong bag no bottom falling out

I was excited about this bag until I wasn't. I just opened the package, and whoever did the embroidery on it missed the memo to not embroider the zippered flap to the bag, thus rendering the zipper useless. It will be returned. If it weren't for the zipper issue and the short handles, it'd be a very nice bag.

The straps on the large tote is not 8.5" as advertised, it's 7.5". The monogram (if you choose Times Bold, the stitching is also not great) is also on the back and not above the pocket.

I had previously purchased a bag like this (~10 years ago); the straps were getting ragged and purchased a new one. Unfortunately, the old bag had open areas for storing items in the interior and the new one does not. It was a good feature and wonder why they changed the interior design.

Too small. Too expensive. Totally disappointing. I will not order a tote from LL bean again

I was so disappointed in the short handle of this tote. I need to be able to sling it over my shoulder, but the handle is too short and it makes the tote awkward to carry. Do not recommend.

I like LL bean totes for both their durability and the small details which add to functionality and daily use. This tote has neither. The fabric feels soft and fragile and has no reinforced bottom section which any good boat tote would require to hold up against moist and grippy boat decks. It also lacks utility. Just a single pocket. Would this hold up in a boating lifestyle? It wouldn't last a month. It feels more like a shopping tote, and I wouldn't count on it to last very long in that respect either as the hard corners of any packaging will begin to wear this thing down. This is the first LL bean tote that disappointed (I have 4 others). They simply went too light on the material. Not enough thought went into this. It's just a catchy name.
