Have used this insulated tote four times now and it has never disappointed. Because of the vertical design, the weight is distributed differently than most bags and it surprised me that it is so easy to carry despite being fully loaded. It is made of the same sturdy fabrics as the original bags. I had a large "blue ice" in this tote and it kept four bottles of water, four sandwiches, some candy, and two apples very cold for six hours at the beach in Florida. Very easy to wipe clean inside after use. I love it and have already ordered another for a gift.

Sturdy, well made but not much room inside. It's a good size but only for items that are more narrow. long in shape.

Wonderful insulated tote for the summer and I've only used it once so far but wow! Kept everything very cold, and I am so glad I got it! Best cooler bag I've ever had, worth it!

I'm in absolute love with this tote. It holds a full days worth of snacks and meals for this professor on the go. Knocked it off one star because somehow I already have a tiny hole in the liner. My smaller lunch box from LLBean that I have had for 8yrs (and used literally almost every day of the past 8 school years) has no holes and is in excellent condition. Slightly disappointed that this has a hole, but the size, shoulder strap, and pocket keep it at 4 stars.

I bought this for work, and it's just perfect. I bought the larger size so I have plenty of room for Tupperware, ice packs, or water bottles etc. fits my whole lunch and then some. Easy to carry and get around with. The only negative things is the cream/white color absorbed colors from my pants that rubs against it I guess while I'm walking. So I was disappointed that my jeans color faded on the bag! that's the only reason I gave it a 4, I was disappointed about the color transferring on the bag. Maybe if they created a darker color rather than white.

Our bag has taken a beating for sure. Our bag goes everywhere we go. I live in South Texas and the weather is 100 degrees 6 months out of the year. So this purchase was just a necessity. I bought this insulated medium tote because we try to get outdoors as much as possible (nature hikes, swimming, tennis, biking, playgrounds, road trips, appointments, school, and shopping). The color has faded slightly (love the red color offered). Due to its use all the bottom corners have worn down to the white background. The insulation is worn so much due to the storage of metal water canisters that we have to buy a new bag. Due to the insulation being worn it leaks out on to the fabric of the bag and then on to my car (worried about mold growth between the insulation and fabric of the bag). I mostly have hauled metal water canisters of water everywhere possible. It keeps our water cool for 6-8 hours alone but much longer with ice packs. I have used it for perishable and mostly nonperishable food. If I did use it for perishable food items I had no problems. Storage capacity met our needs. The pocket has served for reading material alone. Quality is a given. I am surprised it last this long with us because we were so rough on this bag. The only corrections that might be considered is reinforcing the corners and offer an additional background color other than white. So sad to see this bag go but excited about the next purchase of the medium tote. Hope this helps.

I used this mainly as my office bag holding my chilled lunch but also every weekend in a boat fishing Montana. My only regret is I wish it had a more robust zipper and zipper pull so I can open it one handed easily and it slides smoothly. It works fine, just an idea for improvement.

I purchased this for a friend as a thank you gift. She has traveled over the years and still travels to many of my sons sports events. I had purchased 3 of these coolers ( medium and large ) previously for my husband & sons. I knew it was a perfect gift for her as well. The bag really keeps items cold. Great value for the price. Would like to see color options for the body.

It comes with a removable shoulder strap ,but the other handles get in the way when you use it I would rather have longer handles. It's also deep. I would rather it be wider,then as deep as it is . it does work very and it's pretty and sturdy.

I love the insulated tote I purchased; however there are few details I should mention: I would prefer the bottom width be extended a couple of inches for a wider base. The reasoning for this is a 6x6 storage container cannot sit flat without the accommodating width. Also, the stitching on the handles started to unravel within a few days of carrying this tote. I would like to note I did not carry the tote by the handles; this was from the stitches not being securely knitted closed at the factory. This is my only complaint/concern with the manufacturing of the product. Overall, I'm thrilled with the capacity and the effectiveness of the thermal protection.

LL Bean bags are incredibly high quality and worth the price. The cooler totes (I've tried 2 sizes) are great if you need a thermal tote bag, like for groceries. However the dimensions are impractical for a day trip.

I really like this bag. It is very sturdy, however do not think it was meant to be used with ice. Seems to leak and/or get very damp. Works okay with cold packs.

I bought the medium tote and while it is a pretty big and heavy bag, the actual space inside is significantly smaller. Will be returning it. Maybe look for a non insulated tote instead.

I loved this tote. I am a nurse and brought my lunch, drinks and a few essentials to work with this bag for nearly a year without any issues. All the other nurses asked where I got this beautiful bag from. Loved having my initials on the front! One thunderstorm changed all that. The tote was soaked and never dried completely and began to mold. LL Bean Customer Service tried to help, but now I have "Pink" mold blooms on my bag. Sadly, going to have to call this one, as all attempts of resuscitation measures have failed.

I am disappointed as I wanted something that would keep my items cold. I use a cold pac and it does not stay cold.

I love this bag. It's only fault is cosmetic. The only thing I'd change about it is the lighter color part of the bag. Every time I tote it and am wearing jeans the bag gets dingier looking. Now the bag just looks like a patch of bluish gray on its sides. Functionally, this bag is amazing. I love that I can carry food to a party or the beach and it stays cool.

The insulation makes the interior much too small.

Unfortunately, I am returning it because of the reasons I list below. However, the handles and fabric are excellent but there is not enough space inside the bag. If the outside pocket had a zipper and extended out some (for personal items: keys, ID, money) and having an all black option would make this an awesome tote!
