These are nice boots for walking in my varied neighborhood terrain, and I bought them because 2 years ago, I bought the smooth leather version, which has stood up well so far. I would recommend treating them with waterproofing spray, regardless of leather type, as they do leak a bit if you are exposed to snow for any length of time. They are comfy and have a good tread on the sole-best of all, not a bunch of extraneous straps, buckles and trimmings..

I like the color and fit of these boots. The only concern is that if crew socks or socks that don't cover the lower part of my leg are worn the collar rubs my leg. These are otherwise nice.

This pair was for my daughter and altered they are nice just to wide for her . If you have a wider foot they would work great

I love the color Now they are a little stiff and openly will soften up.

The shoe is attractive and exactly what I wanted but they are a little big, very limited arch support, and the leather at the ankle is uncomfortable. Sadly, after a month or more trying to convince myself they are acceptable, I will be returning them.

I was excited to see these boots in the catalogue in the fall so I ordered. Because of an unseasonably warm autumn, I have worn less than 8 times. A ridge developed along the inside stitching of the left boot only. I had irritation and then blisters even with various insoles to elevate my foot. Unfortunately, because I love the style of these boots, they are being returned.

Nicely made boots, but a bit tight across the base of my big toe,which has a large bump due to arthritis. I'm trying to stretch that area. Hopefully, it will stretch enough to not put pressure on my joint. I had tried on a friend's boots like these and they were wider and the toe box was higher. Perhaps a different manufacturer? I see that these were made in Vietnam. I don't know where her LL Bean boots were made. If they won't stretch enough, I won't be able to wear them, sadly. There also is no arch support and the toe box isn't deep enough for my orthotics. My feet are hard to fit and hurt often.

Hardly any break-in period! Width and length were perfect. It was a bit roomy on top on my foot near the toe box. Not really a complaint though! Very comfortable foot bed and I definitely recommend this shoe.

Great quality but ran super large. I'm usually a 9 and these seemed a whole size too large.

The quality is excellent, but sadly, the size is not. My previous orders of hiking boots and shoes, and snow boots, in 8.5W fit perfectly. These not at all, being very tight. I will be returning them.

liked the style and seemed well made. Liked the suade. Sadly the footbed was not flexible and not supportive. Cute shoe but hurt my feet to wear them so had to return.

I like the quality and color of this shoe (brown). They are huge! They were way too wide. I had to return, poor fit and looks.

I bought these boots because of the mostly good reviews. I'm not finding them to be very comfortable. Mostly its the toe bed - sole feels very thin under the toes and at first they hurt the top of my foot when my foot bent while walking. But I really liked the boot and decided they were just stiff. So I have been wearing them around the house for 2 weeks and they are starting to feel better. I have decided to keep them. I ordered new shoelaces to replace the very thin, way too long laces they came with.

Terrible fit lifts in the heel. Cute design though!

Very narrow, order 1/2 size bigger than usual & maybe they would be more comfortable. I returned the shoes.

The shoes looked great and I was really hoping to be able to wear them to work. But after putting in an insert for my arches, I was unable to wear them comfortably. They became too tight. I have a high instep and arch, I really should have known better. But I blocked the way they looked. Having to return them. Unfortunately.

They run big. I wear a size 8 to 8-1/2 and these are way too big for me. Should have gotten a 7-1/2. They are really nice looking boots. Just too big.
