I have been wearing this "original" style for years and absolutely love them! I would like to buy more but don't really like the options available. I bought the NEW style thinking they would fit the same but they don't. I don't like the new footbed or the cut of the fabric straps. Please offer the dusty green plaid in the original style. I also like the blue multi stripe and the dot colors.

Normally wear a European 40, but took a chance on these in a size 7 instead of size 8. They fit well, and are comfortable. My feet are bony and flat. If you have chubby, meaty feet, they might be a little tight under the straps. The cutest aspect of the thongs is the ribbon with the dogs!

I was so disappointed in the new redesign of the Maine Flip-Flops. The molded vinyl sole is very uncomfortable, and the sandals look and feel like something you'd find at a cheap big-box discount retailer. I'm so happy that the original style is still around. Bean, please read your product reviews and bring back this longtime customer favorite with a full range of colors and prints! I've had several pairs over the years and will be happy to buy more if you continue to carry them.

I love these flip flops and have them in about 4 styles at any time. They are my go to casual sandal from April-September and provide the right amount of support for me. I wear them to/from work on my commute and all day on weekends and vacations. I did not like the discomfort of the new style at all and am very grateful the classic is still being offered.

Have been wearing these flip flops for as long as L.L. Bean has carried them; have about 25 pairs and these are super comfortable , (only flips that are with a between the toe set up), have had them on my feet to travel and walk all over the world, SIMPLY THE BEST FOR GRIP AND ARCH SUPPORT.....IF YOU ARE A HALF SIZE, FOR A TRUE FIT , GO DOWN....I WEAR A 6.5 SHOE AND BUY THESE IN A SIZE 6.. Bought 2 new PAIR TO ADD TO MY STASH THIS PAST SPRING AND WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE DESIGN CHANGE......SO HAPPY TO SEE THE CLASSIC DESIGN IS BACK AND AVAILABLE......THANK YOU TO THE POWERS THAT BE FOR LISTENING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS....... The new style flip flops, in my opinion, are a flop. The old style are more comfortable. Please bring back the old style and send the newest style flopping.

I live in these flip flops from May to October. Right now I have 10 pairs - every year I buy at least two more pairs. I was distressed to see the style change this year - but so happy to find the classic style was still being sold. PLEASE do not get rid of this style - it is perfect in every way!! Although they are almost indestructible I hate to think that there will come a day when I can no longer find LLBean Classic Maine Isle Flip Flops to add to my collection!

I have 2 pair of these flip flops and they are extremely comfortable. I wear 7 1/2 in regular shoes and ordered a size 7 and they fit perfect. Love the look, I wear them with a lot of casual outfits. A definite good buy.

I rarely write reviews but I often read them as they can be helpful when determining a size, particularly when buying footwear online. I wear a size 8.5 in most shoes and at times a 9 in some boots and sandals. I was hesitant to order an 8 in this flip flop but did so based on others' reviews. They fit perfectly. The soles are somewhat rigid but are cushiony so I think they will be durable.

I have been buying these flip flops for years. They are the most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn and the designs are great. I always have 2 pairs. They are very sturdy and hold up great. I get compliments on them all the time. When they are on sale I scoop up a few pairs for myself and my daughter. True to size.

I always thought cheap flip-flops were great until I got these and realized what I was missing out on! Just enough arch and a simple design makes these a wonderful shoe. Stocked up on this style as the new kind just aren't as good!

As a chocolate labrador lover and someone who lives in flip-flops 10 months out of the year, I really did need them. There's enough padding so my feet don't hurt at the end of the day, and the fit is just right. I wear an 8.5 shoe, so I ordered a size 8 flip-flop and they were perfect.

I was so happy upon finding you had some of these available again. I've worn these flip-flops for over 14 years, had over 60 pairs and couldn't believe my eyes, when the style changed. Tried the new style, and after 2 tries of trying to find the right fit.....sent them back. Please listen to your loyal following of these classics and keep them in your product line. If you ever wear this style....you'll never be satisfied with any others! These are AMAZING! And from reading all the reviews of the "new" ones, I'm not the only customer who is addicted to them and want them brought back!

Ok. I'm a LL Bean stalker, having patrolled this site every day for my beloved flippies to come back. They are perfect in every way. No breaking in, adorable styling, hold up well. Because I live on the coast, I wear them daily. They wear out simply by being my favorite shoe. They go for walks, on the beach, around the house, and on errands. So when LL Bean introduced the new version, I was so dejected. So HAPPY to see these for purchase again!

I've been wearing another brand of flip-flop for ten years. For about 5 of those years, they needed replacing. When my husband refused to let me wear the old ones in public, I bought these for times I wanted to wear them out and about but kept my old, falling-apart favorites in the garage. I tell you what! I've never looked back! These are soft and supportive and had zero break-in time. I met the mailman at the end of the driveway for them before we headed off on a weekend camping trip. I wore them everywhere. Wet, dry, in the ocean, for long walks. I will never buy another brand of flip-flop! I got the brown ones with the dogs chewing on a Bean shoe and get lots of chuckles.

When I was 11, I received a hand-me-down bag of clothes. One of the items in the bag was a pair of these flip flops (in kids size). They had fish on them. I wore them constantly until I was 17 years old when the strap to the left one broke and my feet were falling off the back. I also dragged my feet a lot so the front of them was falling off. I wore those things in rocky lakes, camping, and in rough rivers in the mountains. I can't tell you how useful they were. I was sad when I had to get rid of them, but I bought new ones and I'm just as happy. Now that my feet should stop growing, I hope to have them just as long as the 6 years I had the (USED) ones I got when I was 11. The quality of these flip flops is amazing and I shuddered when my father offered to buy me 99cent flip flops at Walmart (I'm spoiled now). I would recommend these to anyone, and I'm completely satisfied.

I have bought these flip flops for years and I have never been disappointed. The comfort and fit are consistent with every pair I have purchased. These are so well made that It's hard to wear them out. I get a couple new pairs every so often. Not because I need to but because I always love the new colors.

I bought a pair of these at the start of summer, 3 years ago and they are just starting to wear out (after 4 summers of use). Of course I will be buying another pair to replace them. I wear them every single day, as my "everything" shoe and probably walk 10+ miles a week on dog walks and everything else for 4 months of the year. They're comfortable, durable, and supportive enough for everyday walking like picnics in the park with friends. They have a little bit of arch support and my feet fare much better compared to cheap flip-flops or other types of sandals (excluding tevas/etc. "hiking sandals" sort of shoes), and they look decent enough for almost any occasion. I live in a large city and walk a lot, and have sensitive feet that don't fare well in dress shoes. These don't look too out of place at semi-casual dinners and similar events, especially anything summertime or outdoors.

I absolutely love these flip flops! I'm on my third pair since I discovered them. I wear them everywhere and almost daily. They are one of my go to footwear and I can wear them all day. They are comfortable (no break in required), have a thick cushiony sole and have great fabric patterns/prints. I have wide flat feet with bunions and the straps don't rub anywhere. Highly recommend!

I bought a couple pairs of these shoes last year, and added 2 more this year. They are amazingly comfortable, even for a person who doesn't like anything between her toes. The footbed is wide enough to accommodate my wide feet, the straps are the perfect length, the sole is comfortable and secure. There's nothing not to love! I usually wear a 7-7 1/2 wide, and the 7 fit perfectly.

Every year I order a new pair of these. I love them and have been wearing them for 20+ years. I normally wear a size 8 shoe but I order these in a 7.

I have loved these flip flops for years and this last week I really put them to the test. I went to Disney and Universal for 6 days with my family. Everyone else's feet were hurting but not mine. I wore these flip flops every day averaging 20,000 steps a day and my feet never hurt. They provide great support and allowed my feet to breath and not overheat like they would have in sneakers. Ordered the lobsters and the whales. The lobsters look a little happier but they are both good. Run large, I typically wear a size 9, ordered an 8 and they are good.
