I am usually a size 10 with loose knit type running shoes and 10.5 with harder shoes e.g. leather etc but had to get a 11.5 with these. I have a really high arch so at first the top zip up section felt really tight even though the others parts were perfect. Luckily I wore them for a day indoors fully zipped up to the top and the material stretched and loosened up a bit and now they are perfect. So please experiment with sizing if you get them and give them a day or two. Apart from that they are perfect shoes for most types of hiking!

Maybe people ordering a size up have no nmds or sock like (predators /nmd gtx) a size up was MILES too big for me..

Perfect compromise of comfort and practicality for fast ascents and decent of Scottish mountains. A full day in knee high snow, the boots were 100% waterproof.

These boots are such a nice break from the regular leather heavy hiking boots. They're super warm, dry and the foot hugging snugness is a dream. The soles are super cushioned, the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I have a new dog that requires 2 long walks per day and he loves to go off regular paved paths and ways, these boots make it all possible. Just love them. Also I must recommend follow the sizing instructions carefully, it works really well on this website.

The perfect ale Esther boot. Can be worn in town on a cold and wet day as well as in the field or on the hills. Super comfy, no rubbing and the Gortex sock keeps everything nice and dry. The guidance is to go one size up from your normal size which I did and fitted perfectly.

As a hiker I want an exceptional boot and as true Scotsman I want value for money. I have both. These boots are fantastic and really are a case of substance complimenting style. I have been using them in the past week in permanent sub zero temperatures and then have kept my feet warm and dry. Not only that but the comfort is exceptional. You know the saying 'you get what you pay for' well here I've paid for the best boot I've ever worn.

Love at first sight. I'm not a sneaker head by any means but opening the box gave me that ooouuu like I was Homer Simpson with a fresh dozen donuts. Fit is great. I was honestly worried about the fact that it did not have leases since I do like to tie my sneakers snug. I wasn't sure with just a plain zipper how it would be but surprisingly they fit well. The inner sock is just the right amount of snug. Normally I would say it runs a little large but I believe it's a function of me wearing them in the colder weather whereas I suppose if I wore them like my regular boost they would be fine. Luckily I do tend to wear a chubbier sock in the cold so fit it is perfect. I've worn them out taking pictures in 10f cold standing on 3inches of snow last week and was surprisingly comfortable. I definitely think this is the perfect alternative to heavy snow boot in a not so heavy snow environment. Feels very sturdy like a good construction boot (warmth and water Resistance) but way better looking.

I went for a half size bigger than I would normally buy after reading reviews that the fit is small. This was a good call. Getting the shoes on takes a bit of practice with the sock insert but after a few goes it's no problem. Comfort is excellent, supportive and warm and they keep the water out. The grips are very good on awkward terrain. And it actually feels like you are walking on cushions of air when on flat ground. Quality seems excellent so far as you would expect. Overall a great walking boot which are very light compared to traditional walking boots and much more stylish.

Went half a size up as recommended as they fit perfectly. Unbelievably comfortable. I'd read that people found them difficult to get on and off but I don't. Maybe harder than regular boots but without the hassle of loosing laces etc.

You get some much in just one shoe. It's actually a boot. Gore-tex upper really makes it water proof, not to mention it still has the comfort of a boost midsole, as well as the continental winter/snow tire grip on the sole. Amazing value!

Comfy.Tight fit.Great shoe for asfalt,gravel and softer terrain.

The sock fitment is a pain but benefit is they fit like a glove, no bedding in required soft, snug but supportive. Great boot to walk in wet cold weather can be a little warm when in mild weather so not an summer / spring / autumn boot. Winter only ! Really give you a spring in your step

I went out on a walk through fields and forest near me as soon as my Terrex arrived. They got soaked and muddy as I traversed over smooth and rough terrain. They didn't feel tight despite the slight struggle I had getting them on my high instep feet that first time out but they were snug enough for me to breath a sigh of relief when I took them off 2 hours later. I wondered if a size up was what was needed as I washed any excess mud off ready for my next walk. I have now walked in them 3 times and while that snugness is still there during the walk /trek there is absolutely no discomfort. No tightness even on uneven ground or walking through streams. In fact I forgot I had them on. Its like going outdoors in my slippers knowing that I have the full protection of a very cool looking army boot.

Outstanding. Finally a light boot that feels like a runner. Super comfortable, awesome sealing, and warm. With some spikes, these are crusher winter hikers!
