This is a cute, comfortable shoe. It has a good amount of padding under the ball of the foot. I would like it more if the toe area was more pointed - not a lot but enough to give it more style. The heel is slightly too big and slips while walking if thin cotton socks or nylon trouser socks are worn. I would buy this brand of shoe again. It fit my need for comfort and style for my wide, hard to fit feet.

A pricey shoe; but I have bunion feet for which I now have to shop carefully! It's moderately stylish and very comfortable. I ordered it in the wide, which works well.

Love this shoe! I was hesitant about spending this much on a shoe without trying it on. I am so glad I took the chance. This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn on my short, fat, wide feet!

This shoe is as comfortable as it is stylish. It has that 1920's Downton Abbey look but doesn't pinch. I can wear it all day. I am a size 11 wide shoe and recently fractured my foot, so know whereof I speak. The only thing that might give some people trouble is the blunt rounded toe. It could rub on a troubled big toe. Otherwise, a perfect pump. I bought in brown and black.

This is my second pair of Aravon shoes, (my first pair after 5 years is still great). I could wear the Portia all day, and not even think about having shoes on. So comfortable, fashionable, and trim looking. EXCEPT... I ruin so many pairs of pantyhose because of the velcro fasteners. Hopefully my shoe repair person can change them to a snap or buckle. Will not purchase velcro fasteners again. Wish... more navy colors.

After surgery on both feet and metal implants in one, I have difficulty finding shoes with closed toes that I can tolerate. One foot is larger than the other. With these shoes I can adjust both the straps and the insoles for a good fit for both feet. The roomy toe is a God-send for me. My friend who is a shoe-diva gave me compliments on my "cute shoes"!!! This is my second purchase of Aravon shoes from Zappos and it won't be my last. The return policy is great! If we could get a roomy toe with a slight point we would be really happy.

Love this shoe! The heel is not as high as I usually wear, but for all day on my feet, can't beat the comfort.

These shoes were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The arch support is great, the strap is attractive and is not too tight across the arch. I like that the back of the shoe comes up just a tad higher than some so blisters and rubbing are not an issue. I will definitely buy more of this brand in the future.

I love this shoe so much! It is beautiful and very well made. Unfortunately, I tried 2 different sizes, but my weird, long, big toe on my right foot gets squished. Zappos service was perfect as usual.

I don't normally pay this much for shoes, but they sounded like they were what I was looking for, and I was not disappointed. They are worth the price -- true to size, and need no "breaking in." Very comfortable to wear all day!

I am ecstatic! I never thought I'd say that about a pair of shoes, but finding a pair of closed- toed shoes has been a challenge for me for years because of bunions on both feet and hammertoes on my right foot. These shoes have answered my silent prayers! They are very comfortable and have roomy toes without looking boxy or frumpy; in fact, I think they are quite stylish. I've been wearing them comfortably for four hours since they came today. Amazing! Yes, they are pricey, but,hey, I will wear them to death! I wear a 7.5 and these fit my feet perfectly. Did I say I was ecstatic?

Unfortunately the toe box was too shallow for my big toe. Otherwise, nice fit and support. Nice mix of materials, still a little dorky looking for a dress shoe.

I bought these because I needed a more dressy shoe for an event. Tried them on and thought they fit well enough to get through the event. Then put them away until I had the dress. Tried them on with the dress and, after walking around a bit in the house, didn't like the feel or the look. They are less attractive than in the picture -- leather looks more shiny and the patterned part less obvious. My feet are narrow, but I need room in the toe. The heel fit fine, but the toe box seemed shallow and pressed a bit on my big toe. So, I decided these are not for me and am sending them back.

I hoped these would work, but my feet slipped to the toe because there was very little arch support. Had to return.

These are beautiful shoes that would seem to be comfortable when properly sized but unfortunately I had to send them back. They were a half size too big . I am a 7W in dress shoes but needed these to be a 6.5W. When I went to return the 7W brown and reorder the 6.5W brown, they were sold out of that size in every color. I then had to go to a different site and order them in blue because they were out of almost every color (except for blue).

More sturdy and less dressing looking than I had hoped. Fit well for my wide foot. But the truth is I need to give up any heel at this point in life.

Fit and size are great,very comfortable, but the strap is short.I have only worn them a few times, but the strap sticks only about 1/4 inch.My feet are average, but the strap crosses over with with very little room to close.It has not popped off so far.

This is a very comfortable shoe and looks good. The size 7.5 works for me. I usually wear an 8 but that was too large so I returned that one and ordered again. I am very happy with zappos service.

I had tried two larger sizes and had to return both. This pair (7.5 D) fit great and look good. Finally! I love your service.

These shoes fit me well. I have really, really difficult feet. They are WW with narrow heels (so I require Mary Janes basically because my feet fall out of every shoe), super high arches and insteps, and tall toes or something (I don't know how to describe it. But I need a roomy toe box.) Oh! And they're two entirely different sizes! Super fun. Shoe shopping isn't agonizing at all. Anyway. Unfortunately, I hate the velcro on these shoes. It didn't seem like it would pop off, but I envisioned a future where hair and random fuzz would start sticking to it and over time it would be rendered useless. Also, because of my high instep, it's impossible for me to wear shoes that don't have an adjustable strap. The strap only covered half of the velcro tab on my one foot, which didn't feel very secure. I understand that velcro is great for a lot of people. I do wish they made shoes like this with real buckles, though.

I started with this shoe in a 12 (D) and it was huge. Aravon converts to EUR oddly. The 12 was EUR 44 (rather than a 43, as expected) - they even marked out the size 12 on the cardboard shoe form and put 13 instead. I ordered an 11 in both (D) and (W) widths. The EUR size was 42.5 which I suspected would be too small for me. The medium definitely was too snug (tight in width, tight in length). The wide will just work but only because I can't seem to get my hands on a straight-up 43 which would be perfect. This shoe in an 11D seemed to fit like most 11's would, but definitely not big enough for my foot.

The 8.5 WW fit my 9.5 WW foot perfectly, and so far, the comfort and support is typical of Aravon - good on all fronts. It would be wonderful if they included an optional arch support.
