I wanted to like this shoe, but the fit across the instep was too small. Plus, the inside of the shoe at the top around the back of the shoe and in the heel had rough edges, almost like serrated barbs. Couldn't have worn them even if the fit had been better.

even though sole looks to be a flexible and non skid bottom I have slipped twice resulting in a fall; not for cold weather.

They’re ugly but don’t draw attention. Good for business People whose feet hurt but have to walk a lot like me. There’s a tag on the inside top That rubs on your foot so you have to wear socks or be miserable.

I have been searching hi and low for a casual work shoe. There is no arch support and my heels slip. The shoe is also very flimsy and not as sturdy as the other two pair of Aravon's I own. Sadly, I will return them.

This shoe was much wider in the heel than a AA or N normally does. They slipped up and down on the heel to the extent that I could not wear them. The decoration on the mid shoe was too far back to be seen. It appeared, on the foot, to be a very plain loafer. Mainly for the fit, I returned them.

The toe box is a true WW but the heel is too wide so the shoe won't stay on. I was also slightly dismayed to receive shoes that have animal hair inside (I don't have a pet) and crumpled tissue over the shoes-obviously someone's return that wasn't handled very well.

very very comfortable ---but look a little othopedic on my feet.

I have about 8 pairs of Aravons for all seasons and this is the first time the 9 has not fit me. Very surprised. Have to sadly return

Cushioning was very nice, but not enough support for this pronator.

These shoes are OK. but,the soles are very slippery even on indoor carpet. they seem to be some kind of plastic. I can't imagine what they would be like on tile.

I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable due to my wide feet and high instep. I ordered the 7.5 extra-wide. Because of my high instep I could not even get my foot in this shoe to see if it was wide enough. I bought the Aravon Tonya instead which feels wonderfully comfortable.

Ordered this shoe in a 10.5 and they were wide enough but not long enough, reordered in an 11 regular. Took a couple weeks to break in, hurt the sides of my feet until they stretched out to my foot. Bit uglier than expected, and they cause my feet to sweat badly. But they are very comfortable now that they are broken in. Not sure I would buy another pair. Not worth what they cost.

If you're looking for comfort these shoes are great. However, when I put them on they were very unattractive and geriatric looking. I was hoping for a classic black loafer but these look like "old lady" shoes.

The 9.5ww is a little short but the 10WW in this brand is too big - my foot kept coming out of the heel. I wear them but my big toe is right at the edge of the shoe.

These looked stylish to me online, but when I received them, they looked more like something my grandmother would wear. Boring. :(

I have worn this shoe for 15 years. I have a narrow long foot and this shoe was my go to shoe. The last pair I bought were too room in the middle of the shoe and the heel of the shoe. Lacking that snug fit meant my foot would slide down to the toe and cause callouses on my toes. I was so disappointed I decided to give the shoe another chance thinking maybe my last pair might have been a manufacturing mistake but alas this new pair is also too wide and sloppy in the foot area. Very disappointed.

Shoe fit very well but made black marks on my wooden floors. Not a keeper.

I didn't care for this shoe and was disappointed in the quality. It was fit well in toes box but the width seemed extra wide. It didn't offer any support other as the sides were a very loose leather fit. Returned. I had hoped they would live up to the reviews but this just seemed like a cheap shoe to me.

These seem to run a bit large...Might fit with a medium weight sock, but they really are ugly and if you're feet aren't petite these make 'em look HUGE. Back they go.

The heel box is underbuilt and designed for a brick, not a human foot with contours. No matter what insert I tried, I still pronated and my heels flopped around in the soft leather. Soft leather is good, particularly for expansion capabilities when walking in heat and slight swelling could ensue. Soft leather must sit on a solid foundation -- what happened to shoe design?? The Mephistos are well constructed but do not come in a wide width. Fortunately I had a day to pad around at home before committing. Thanks Zappos!

I have been very disappointed in this shoe, after having worn Aravons for nearly a decade. Within days of getting them, the shoes started showing wear and the the outer layer of the shoe started breaking down. Withing a few weeks, they looked terrible. Now, a few months in, they are unwearable. Note: these have only been worn in an office setting.
