Wanted to love these shoes, as I have problem feet and needed a lace-up shoe in navy that looked dressier than athletic shoes. Ordered my regular size 9 in wide width but had to exchange for a 9.5, as they seemed to run short. My orthotics fit well in this shoe, but after wearing them for a few days, I realized the shallow depth wasn't providing the support I need specifically in the heel. I'm keeping them for brief events out, but am disappointed in the fit. Otherwise, as noted by others, a good quality shoe.

I wanted to like this shoe as I loved the moccasin style of them. However, SAS should take these shoes off the market and resize them. The shoes run very narrow, I returned the first pair and opted for a WW and when they arrived they were also so uncomfortable I had to return them. If I went up a size they might have fit but would have been too long. I opted for Liberty and received them today fit beautiful just as expected.

These are going back, they are way too narrow. I'll try a larger size because I really want them to work.

I normally order the Freetime shoe in a 10W fits perfectly. First time ordering this shoe and it runs very narrow. Wish all their shoes fit the same.

I really wanted to like this shoe - but it was just too uncomfortable in the front of the shoe. The inner "packaging" of the supporting structure for the lacing area stuck down from the top of the shoe, making it very uncomfortable to wear (even with reasonably thick socks). I wore the shoe (indoors, on carpeted areas only) while sitting for an hour or so, trying to see if the shoe became more comfortable. It seemed to "loosen" a bit, but that hard leather lacing support structure continued to rub the top of my foot, making it just too uncomfortable to wear.

I wore these shoes for two years whenever I worked out in my yard, I have a woodland garden and enjoy weeding out the unwanteds, planting natives I have "rescued" from construction sites, and just walking about, checking on how it all goes. Unfortunately, I chose comfort over durability I guess (I am retired, so comfort is a priority), because I am going to have to replace them - one sole has completely separated from the shoe at the toe and is now letting dirt and moisture into the inside of the shoe. I am still a satisfied SAS customer - I love their shoes - but not every shoe is for every purpose!

attractive but I found the padding under the foot inadequate, and the shoe too light and thin for my needs. I could feel the floor right away and thought they would not be comfortable after a few hours. also found them a bit narrow for WW

This shoe had a defective inner sole--it buckled in the heel section. Also, the extra pair of shoelaces was missing.

I've worn SAS in 7N for many years. I bought these shoes for a trip and had such discomfort (and a bloody toe) that I had to wear other shoes for the rest of the trip. I've now ordered 7.5N and I'm hoping they will be better.

I ordered these twice, first time in medium width, sent them back, ordered wide width... neither fit in 9.5 which is my usual size in SAS. They were so narrow that I couldn't tell if they were too short as well. I gave up.

I have been wearing SAS for roughly 20 years. They don't make the Freetime in navy in my size anymore so I decided to try this shoe. I ordered my usual SAS size and I could not get my foot into the shoe. I compared the Traveler insole to a Freetime insole of the same size and the Traveler insole is half an inch shorter and almost half an inch narrower than the Freetime. Definitely order a size larger and possibly a width wider than your typical SAS size!

I returned these shoes. They were tight. I had bought other shoes and did not need these. I buy only SAS shoes. I recommend SAS just not this style.

Since I am a long-time, satisfied SAS customer and wear their shoes exclusively, I bought one pair of sandals and one pair of close-toed shoes online. The closest SAS store is 75 miles away, so I trusted that the shoes would be fine. The sandals are great, but the close-toed shoes in this review were far from it. I wanted navy blue shoes with a non-slip sole - but the width on these shoes was very narrow, more than customary, and it was uncomfortable to walk in them for the two days I had them. Customer service couldn't help me with getting the criteria I wanted in a shoe, so I returned them and will sometime make the long trip to the closest store to get something else. Returning items purchased online is always a hassle, so this will be the last time I'll order from SAS online.

This shoe was the only one available in navy that was available in my size. Although I have worn 7 1/2 SAS shoes for years, this was not similar in width to another in this model I had bought in brown. Also, the stitching on the side leaks when it rains. The leather is good quality. I plan to have the shoes widened.

The shoes are attractive. The leather is very soft. I found they ran small in a all ways compared to other brands. I was quite disappointed. I sent them back. I love Zappos because they graciously allow me to try a wide variety of shoes before selecting. I will keep shopping for the perfect walking shoe that is also stylish.

I was looking for a simple black leather tie shoe and I hoped this would work for me. But I had to return them because the stitching around the toe box and the sides irritated both of my tailors bunions.

I will be returning this product hopefully to a store near me so that I don't have to pay a shipping or restocking fee for an item that does not fit properly nor provide any arch support. Purchased in bone, the leather is thin and provides no support.
I have purchased numerous pairs of sneakers and shoes and a pair of boots that are all superb! This model shoe is just not worth the money. Nothing "athletic" about it.
