I ordered these in Dec. but only started wearing them within the last week. Already the sole of one shoe has separated from the shoe. So that is less than 7 days later.

I tried on 7 pairs of wool slippers before settling on these. I wear a size 5.5 in most shoes. I'm a medium width with a narrow heel and a high instep. I tend toward plantar fasciitis and find that with good arch support, my symptoms are minimal. I need full shoe as mules tend to slip off and at my age, I can't afford to trip and fall on stairs. That being said, so far (two days) these shoes are comfortable and the arch is in the right place. The slipper stays on with or without lightweight socks. I don't feel unsafe on stairs. There is extra fabric around the toes so I don't think they'll poke through anytime soon. I like the way they look, they will be just warm enough so that my feet don't get sweaty. I appreciate Zappos free shipping both ways as well as quick refunds to my credit card - I get to try on various brands and cut of shoes to figure out which ones work for me. When you have small feet, shoe stores have few options. I do find that spending this much on slippers seems like craziness, but when I think about how many hours I'm going to wear them it makes perfect sense.

I wear a 9.5 narrow. These are loose on my foot but my toe is to the end of the toe box. I ordered the next size larger at first but they were sooo loose and way to big. I would definitely say these run a bit wide. I wear lace up Taos with no fit concerns. Since I am wearing these as slippers indoors, I can live with the looseness— the arch support is excellent.

These are seriously the MOST comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. I don’t normally write reviews but these are so good I had to. If you are on the fence buy them you won’t regret it. I have a long skinny foot (size 10) and while they are a little wide they don’t slip off. The wool keeps my temp regulated-not too hot, never sweaty-just right. Great arch support and nice shock absorbing base. I’m in love and will buy again and again! Please keep making these!

I was glad Zappos had this color since the Taos website was sold out of them. I have two other pairs of Taos shoes-they are sneakers and I love the style and fit. I have always wanted a pair of wool shoes and these have arch support which is a positive since I have very high arches. I like they they can be worn both ways as a clog or slide in and a regular shoe. Perfect for this season and I love the wider toe box, no cramped toes

The Taos slippers are well worth the money spent as far as quality, fit, and comfort. I wear a 9 or 9.5 boot and shoe so was a bit on the fence on the 40 or 41, but the 40 was perfect with room for winter sox. Love the fact that the sole comes out and can be cleaned. I really like being able to slip on with back down under heel and having it up when using stairs or on patio or decks. Better wool thickness than most other slipper I have purchased.

The fit is slightly large, but not problematic. It was my first purchase of Taos footwear, and so far I am thrilled with most features of this shoe. The one thing I am not crazy about is that so many manufacturers are now making some of the cutest shoes with a back that folds down so it can be worn backless. For most people, this probably doesn’t present a problem; but for me it is quite annoying. I am 71 with arthritic knees and a stiff back. I love shoes that I can step into without bending over and using my hands. The back on these shoes is too bendy to hold its shape without using my hands. Otherwise, I am fully satisfied.

I wear an 8- 8.5 wide shoe - I have a wide foot AND bunions. The size 39 is perfect! Love the footbed, love the style! Plenty wide enough, and I always wear wide shoes - even my Taos sneakers. Don’t be afraid to try these, they are sooooo comfortable!

Love these slippers. Very warm and I can wear them outside. I am a solid size 8. I ordered the 39 and they were to big. Exchanged them for the 38 and they fit perfect.

Too large, fit like 8.5-9 and i wear an 8. Will try 7-7.5

When I first slid my foot into the Taos Convertawools, I knew it was a perfect fit. Then I felt the arch support which is surprising comfortable. My foot has a high arch and I need that support. The material and construction are first-class. Just for the record, I want to wear these shoes/slippers ALL THE TIME!

Very disappointed that these slippers didn't work -- they are lovely, but too low for my high instep to get into properly -- tight on the top of my foot.

I ordered my normal size. Way too big. Went down a size and they slipped up and down on my heel when walking. Disappointed ? back to my Frankenslippers - Uggs with Vionic insoles.

This is listed as a size 10-10.5, my normal size. However it is snug for that size. I also found the arch support to be a little aggressive and hard. If you are looking for sturdy, firm arch support, this may be the slipper for you.

A MUST HAVE!!! These are warm and stylish! The animal print is so darling! I have plantar fasciitis and these are so comfortable that my foot pain has virtually disappeared! A little pricey but so worth it!

Unfortunately had to return. They were too big. Runs a size large.

I really wanted these to work but unfortunately the size combinations did not work for me. The 7-7.5 was too small and the 8-8.5 flopped off my foot with every step. If you can find a size that works, I do recommend these as they are one of the very very few support slippers with a back so no need to worry about slipping out of them like with the clog styles.

Cute slipper, but the heel is soft and does not stay upright as you slide your foot into the body. This makes it difficult to get on.

The shoe is pretty but very large. My heel kept slipping out. The arch support feels like a metal bar in the middle of the shoe. Very uncomfortable. Retuned

I purchased another pair in the past and knew they ran a little large. I normally wear a 7 so sized down to 6-6.5. Very comfortable!

I normally wear a women's size 7, and that often translates to a 37 in European sizing, but not with these. The 37 was too short. I exchanged them for size 38 (which I should have read on the Taos website's sizing chart, oh well) which fit perfectly. Very happy with the shoes (love the charcoal color), and also with Zappos free return service and speedy refund process!

Awesome slippers! The heel wears quickly, but it's still been a great fit for a few years now.

the fit is great! I love the material. It's warm but not too warm. If you plan on wearing these with socks and with the heel tucked down, I would size up one size, Great toe room, if you are like me and crave that kind of comfort.

I have square short high arched feet and these fit so comfortably out of the box which is rare. So pleased with these. No need for socks!

I'm normally a 7 to 7.5. The 7-7.5 size fit perfectly and is roomy in the toe. Initially the arch support felt weird and too high, but after wearing them a bit the support settled into being comfortable. I don't find them to be particularly warm. These are not warm fuzzy house slippers. But, they are nice to pad around the house in, and I have worn them outside the house as well.
