I’ve been wearing the zero drop Altra Lone Peak for many years and love almost everything about them. Unfortunately, the tread doesn’t last long and tends to be slippery in wet trail or rock and the body of the shoe is prone to delaminating. Having relocated to a cold, wet and snowy climate, I hoped the Xero Xcursion would address those issues. My only complaint is a deal breaker - where the shoe flexes between forefoot and toe joint there is a sharp inward crease that digs painfully into the foot. I ordered this shoe in 11 and 11 1/2 (thanks Zappo for the flexibility to do this!) and the crease is in both sizes, so it’s not a one-off defect. Too bad, because a wide enough zero drop shoe with great traction is ruined by this one feature. I will add tho that compared to the Altras, the Xero has less width across the toe box. I could have lived with that if the nasty crease wasn’t there.

I bought a pair of Prio back in December. I wanted to try the Daylight Hiker but my size wasn't available. I'm new to zero drop shoes so I bought the least expensive ones to try.

Overall the shoe is everything as advertised EXCEPT it's not waterproof. Original pair returned and same result with replaced pair. The original pair at least held up for the first hour of the hike but eventually leaked and when tested in puddles got my feet soaked. The replaced pair had no immersion, just hiking through wet grass and weeds and still leaked moisture. Again, love the shoes, but disappointed after 2 pairs with same result, definitely not even water resistant let alone waterproof.

These shoes have a very thin sole which was not what I had hoped. I could feel slight variations in the flooring underneath these shoes when I tried them on. Additionally these shoes were lacking enough arch support to fit me comfortably.

These fit like a block of wood. I used to do everything (cycle commute, box, run, lift, walk around, etc.) in old Skora Fits, so I'm no stranger to zero-drop barefoot-style footwear. I was looking forward to a pair of waterproof zero-drop shoes. I have narrow feet with a reasonably high arch and very low instep, and initially, I tried my usual women's 11 in these. They were too short. I switched to men's to get a larger size, and both men's and women's have a very limited lacing range. An adolescence spent wearing men's sneakers since women's didn't run big enough and generally having narrow feet means I have to really tighten laces to get shoes to fit my feet. Tightening these enough so my feet wouldn't slip out resulted in pinch points and rubbing. The construction generally feels blocky, stiff, and kind of cheap. Not what I expected from $150 "barefoot" style shoes. They'd probably work if you have super wide feet with really high insteps.

They claim the shoe is waterproof. It is not. 6 weeks into wearing and stepped into a small running stream and foot was soak and wet within 5 seconds. Disappointing, because other than this I really like the shoe.

I'll start off by saying that I LOVE Xero shoes. I have 5 pair that I wear for everything from work, the gym, yardwork, and backpacking. These guys just can't seem to get boots right!

I bought the current version of the men's Excursion Fusion waterproof boots for my husband. They were anything but. Like another reviewer mentioned, a short walk through dewey grass leaves my husband's feet soaking wet (the inside of the shoe was wet as could be). I hate giving any Xero shoe 2 stars, but these gave me no choice.

Cheaply made. I wore them twice and one of the hooks fell right off.

These boots are very comfortable, but they are NOT waterproof at all! On my third morning of working in the yard with heavy dew, they leaked like crazy. My socks were quite wet in the toe area. I can't believe these are promoted as being waterproof. I'm very disappointed because I really liked how they fit. I returned them to Zappos. If you want waterproof, look elsewhere.

I wanted to wait until I could take these boots on a proper backpacking trip before I submitted my review.

I put about 50 miles on the Xeros and stopped wearing them when I developed a knee problem. Went back to my old Salomon boots and the problem seems to have resolved itself.

Not waterproof whatsoever. If you walk through any wet grass your feet will be soaked.
